Description
活物質がコーティングされない第2の無地部が形成される。第2の無地部には負極タブとなる第2の電極タブ127bが溶接のような方式によって結合されて、電極組立体120から外部に引出されるように形成される。
(実施例1)
正極活物質としてLiCoO2、バインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)及び導電材としてカーボンを92:4:4の重量比で混合した後、N‐メチル‐2‐ピロリドンに分散させて、正極スラリーを製造した。このスラリーを厚さ20umのアルミニウム箔にコーティングした後、乾燥、圧延して、正極板を製造した。
動き防止テープの付着長さを下記の表1に示すように変更したことを除いて、実施例1と同様に実施して、二次電池を製造した。
動き防止テープの代わりにPETフィルム上にPMMA粘着剤を塗布したシーリングテープを使用したことを除いて、実施例1と同様に実施して、二次電池を製造した。
実施例及び比較例で製造した二次電池の動きをドラムテスト方法で測定し、その結果を下記の表1及び表2に示した。
実施例1〜4のような方法で製造された二次電池にドラムテストを実施せず、電極組立体の粘着力を測定して、その結果(6個サンプルの平均値)を下記の表3に示した。粘着力は、製造された二次電池の上端と下端をカッティングした後、下端にプッシュプルゲージを位置させ、その後プッシュフルゲージを上端方向に押し上げて、極組立体が移動する時点での力を測定した値である。

Claims (17)
- 電極組立体と、
電解液と、
前記電極組立体の外部表面の少なくとも一部に付着した動き防止テープと、
前記電極組立体を収容するケースと、を含み、
前記動き防止テープは前記電解液と接触すると少なくとも一部が粘着性を示す基材層を含み、粘着性を示す前記基材層の少なくとも一部はケースの内部表面に接触し、
前記基材層は、前記電解液と接触すると少なくとも一部が収縮して粘着性を示し、
前記電極組立体の巻回末端に位置する最外側仕上げ部には、該電極組立体の構造が崩れることを防止するシーリングテープが付着され、
前記動き防止テープは、前記シーリングテープを覆う位置、又は覆わない位置にて前記電極組立体の外部表面に付着され、
前記動き防止テープは、前記電極組立体の外部表面の上端部及び下端部を除いた部分を囲むことを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記動き防止テープは、前記基材層の背面に形成されて前記電極組立体の外部表面に接触する粘着層をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記基材層はOPS(oriented polystyrene)フィルムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体は、第1の電極、第2の電極及び前記第1の電極と前記第2の電極の間に介在されるセパレーターを積層した後、該積層体を巻回して形成され、前記電極組立体は、前記セパレーターの巻回末端が位置する最外側仕上げ部を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記動き防止テープは、前記電極組立体の前記最外側仕上げ部を含めて付着したことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極組立体の前記最外側仕上げ部には、前記動き防止テープが付着したことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電解液は、カーボネート系溶媒を含み、前記カーボネート系溶媒は、ジメチルカーボネート(DMC)、ジエチルカーボネート(DEC)及びジプロピルカーボネート(DPC)からなる群から選択された少なくとも一つのカーボネート系溶媒を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電解液は、前記カーボネート系溶媒を10〜60重量%含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の二次電池。
- 前記基材層は、10〜50um範囲の厚さを有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記動き防止テープは、前記電極組立体の外部表面の円周の長さを1としたとき、少なくとも0.5の長さだけ囲むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記動き防止テープは、前記電極組立体の外部表面の円周の長さを1としたとき、0.5よりは大きく1よりは小さい長さだけ囲むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記動き防止テープの幅は、前記電極組立体の幅の少なくとも20%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記動き防止テープは、前記粘着層上に順次に形成された補助基材層と補助粘着層をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記動き防止テープは、前記電解液との接触後の粘着力が少なくとも1kgf/cm2であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
