Description
キレート剤としてEDTAを含む電解液及び電池の製造
電解液は、エチレンカーボネート(EC):エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)=1:2(v/v)にLiPF6を1Mとなるように溶解した後、前記溶液にFeイオン(FeCl3)とキレート剤であるEDTAをそれぞれ50mMとなるように添加して製造した。
キレート剤を含まない電解液及び電池の製造
キレート剤(EDTA)を添加しないことを除いては、実施例1と同様に電解液及び電池を製造した。
キレート剤として18−crown−6を含む電解液及び電池の製造
キレート剤としてEDTAの代わりにクラウンエーテルである18−crown−6を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同様に電解液及び電池を製造した。
キレート剤としてdibenzo−18−crown−6を含む電解液及び電池の製造
キレート剤としてEDTAの代わりにクラウンエーテルであるdibenzo−18−crown−6を使用したことを除いては、実施例1と同様に電解液及び電池を製造した。
Fe電気めっき(Feイオンの還元)実験
前記実施例1及び比較例1〜3で製造した電池の電解液の中でFeイオンが陰極表面で還元される反応を観察するため、電気めっきの実験を行った。その結果を図1に示した。
EDTAを含む電解液及び電池の製造
EDTAを2mM、5mM、10mM、200mMとなるように添加したことを除いては、実施例1と同様にそれぞれの電解液及び電池を製造した。
EDTA濃度に応じたFeイオンの還元反応の実験
実施例1〜5及び比較例1で製造された電池の銅箔表面における還元反応とこれによるFe電気めっきの量を測定した。その結果を図2に示した。
EDTAを含む電解液及びポリマー電池の製造
電解液は、円筒形電池において使用する電解液(EC/EMC=1/2(v/v)、LiPF61M)にEDTAを2mMとなるように添加して製造した。
EDTAを含む電解液及びポリマー電池の製造
電解液の製造時に、EDTAを10mMとなるように添加したことを除いては、実施例6と同様に電解液及びポリマー電池を製造した。
EDTAを含まない電解液及びポリマー電池の製造
電解液の製造時に、EDTAを添加しないことを除いては、実施例6と同様に電解液及びポリマー電池を製造した。
電池の高温保存特性の評価実験
実施例6、7及び比較例4で製造された電池を4.2Vまで完全充電し、これを恒温チャンバーに入れて1時間の間90℃まで昇温した後、4時間の間90℃に維持し、さらに1時間下げた後、常温で維持した。また、このような過程における電池の厚さ変化を測定した。その結果を図3に示した。
電池のC−rate特性の評価実験
実施例6、7及び比較例4で製造された電池の充電条件をいずれも0.5Cとし、放電電流を変えてレート能力を測定した。その結果を図4に示した。
電池のサイクル特性の評価実験
実施例6、7及び比較例4で製造された電池のサイクル特性に関して実験を行った。その結果を図5に示した。
Claims (2)
- リチウム二次電池用電解液であって、
キレート剤と、非水溶媒と、及び電解質塩とを含んでなり、
前記キレート剤が、NTA(ニトリロ三酢酸)、DCTA(トランス−1,2−ジアミノシクロヘキサン四酢酸)、DTPA(ジエチレン−トリアミン五酢酸)、EGTA(ビス−(アミノエチル)グリコールエテル−N,N,N',N'−四酢酸)からなる群から選ばれた一種以上のものであり、
前記キレート剤が、二次電池内のリチウムイオンを除いた遷移金属イオンと配位結合をして錯体を形成し、かつ、リチウムイオンとは反応及び配位結合をせず、錯体を形成しないものであり、
前記キレート剤と、前記遷移金属イオンとの間に形成された錯体が、前記電解液に不溶であるものであり、
前記キレート剤が、前記電解液に対して2乃至200mMで含まれてなることを特徴とする、リチウム二次電池用電解液。 - 請求項1に記載の電解液を備えた、リチウム二次電池。
