Description
以下、本発明をより詳しく説明する。
通常の方法でコイン型電池を作製した。正極活物質としてLiCoO294.9質量%、平均粒度0.8μmで、比表面積が約11m2/gであるAl(OH)30.1質量%、Super−P(導電剤)2.5質量%、及びPVDF(polyvinylidene fluoride結合剤)2.5質量%を溶剤のNMP(n-methyl-pyrrolidone)に添加し、正極混合物スラリーを調製した後、これをAl集電体上にコートして正極を作製した。また、負極としては、リチウム箔を使用し、電解液としては、1M LiPF6のEC/EMC系溶液を使用し、電解液にVC(ビニレンカーボネート)2質量%とPS(プロパンスルトン)3質量%を添加してコイン型電池を作製した。
正極活物質としてのLiCoO2を94質量%にし、Al(OH)3を1質量%にしたことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
正極活物質としてのLiCoO2を93質量%にし、Al(OH)3を2質量%にしたことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
正極活物質としてのLiCoO2を90質量%にし、Al(OH)3を5質量%にしたことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
正極活物質としてのLiCoO2を85質量%にし、Al(OH)3を10質量%にしたことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
平均粒度が1.2μmで比表面積が約7m2/gであるAl(OH)3を使用したことを除いては、実施例2と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
平均粒度が1.2μmで比表面積が約7m2/gであるAl(OH)3を使用したことを除いては、実施例3と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
平均粒度が8μmで比表面積が約2.5m2/gであるAl(OH)3を使用したことを除いては、実施例2と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
平均粒度が8μmで比表面積が約2.5m2/gであるAl(OH)3を使用したことを除いては、実施例3と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
図2に示すように、正極、多孔性セパレータ膜、及び負極を巻いてロール状にした後、図3に示すような角形缶に収納した電池を使用した。詳述すれば、次の通りである。正極活物質としてLiCoO292.5質量%、平均粒度8μmで比表面積が約2.5m2/gであるAl(OH)32.5質量%、Super−P(導電剤)2.5質量%、及びPVDF(結合剤)2.5質量%を溶剤のNMP(N−methyl−2−pyrrolidone)に添加し、正極混合物スラリーを調製した後、これをAl集電体上にコートして正極を作製した。また、負極活物質としては、人造黒鉛を使用し、人造黒鉛95.3質量%、Super−P(導電剤)0.7質量%、及びPVDF(結合剤)4質量%を溶剤のNMPに添加し、負極混合物スラリーを調製した後、これをCu集電体上にコートして負極を作製した。電解液としては、1M LiPF6のEC/EMC系溶液を使用し、電解液にVC(ビニレンカーボネート)2質量%とPS(プロパンスルトン)3質量%を添加した。
平均粒度が0.8μmで比表面積が約11m2/gであるAl(OH)3を使用する代わりに、平均粒度が1.0μmで比表面積が約12m2/gであるMg(OH)2を使用したことを除いては、実施例2と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
平均粒度が1.5μmで比表面積が約6m2/gであるMg(OH)2を使用したことを除いては、実施例11と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
平均粒度が9μmで比表面積が約1.5m2/gであるMg(OH)2を使用したことを除いては、実施例11と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
正極活物質としてのLiCoO2を95質量%にし、Al(OH)3を添加していないことを除いては、実施例1と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
正極活物質としてのLiCoO2を95質量%にし、Al(OH)3を添加していないことを除いては、実施例10と同様な方法を実施してコイン型電池を作製した。
実施例1乃至9及び比較例1で作製した電池に対し、1Cの充電電流で4.2Vまで充電を行い、1Cの放電を3Vまで行って初期の放電容量(A)を確認し、このセルを再び前記と同様な方法で4.2Vまで充電した後、80℃で12時間保存した。保存後、1Cの放電を行って残存容量(B)を測定した。残存容量の測定後、充放電を3回繰り返してからその回復容量(C)を確認した。初期容量(A)対比残存容量(B)及び回復容量(C)の%を測定し、それぞれを残存容量率(=B/A)及び回復容量率(=C/A)とし、これを、下記の表1及び表2に表した。

Claims (4)
- (a)正極活物質粒子、
(b)正極添加剤として、金属水酸化物粒子、
(c)導電剤、および
(d)結合剤を含んでなり、
この金属水酸化物粒子が0質量%超過10質量%未満の量で含まれており、
そして、正極中の前記正極活物質粒子および前記金属水酸化物粒子は互いの均一混合物であり、そして、
前記金属水酸化物が、比表面積が2.5〜11m 2 /g、平均粒度0.8μm〜8μmのAl(OH)3か、あるいは比表面積が6〜12m 2 /g、平均粒度1.0μm〜1.5μmのMg(OH)2であることを特徴とする、非水電解質電池用正極。 - 正極、負極及び非水電解液を含むリチウムイオン電池において、
前記正極が、請求項1に記載の電池用正極であることを特徴とするリチウムイオン電池。 - 前記一般式1の化合物は、VC(ビニレンカーボネート)であり、前記一般式2乃至4の化合物は、プロパンスルトン(PS)、プロペンスルトン、ジメチルスルホン、ジフェニルスルホン、ジビニルスルホン、及びメタンスルホン酸からなる群より選ばれる、請求項3に記載のリチウムイオン電池。
