Description
本発明は、1種以上のバイオポリマーと、バイオポリマーの特性を改善させることを目的とした1種以上のアクリルコポリマーとのブレンドに関する。このバイオポリマー組成物は、30〜99.9重量%のバイオポリマーと0.1〜15重量%の1種以上のアクリルコポリマーとを含む。
バイオポリマーは、主用途、例えば、包装材料及び瓶詰め用途において、多くの一般的なプラスチックの環境に優しい代替物として使用されている。
本発明は、バイオポリマー組成物であって、
(a)85〜99.9重量%の1種以上のバイオポリマーと、
(b)0.1〜15重量%の1種以上のアクリルコポリマーと
を含むバイオポリマー組成物に関する。
本発明は、1種以上のバイオポリマーと、金属剥離が良好なだけでなく溶融強度のような他の特性も改善されたバイオポリマー組成物を生じさせるための1種以上のアクリルコポリマーとのブレンドに関する。
・透明性(0.018”の厚さについて曇度<10)、
・金属剥離(>1分の2本ロールミル固着時間で評価される)、
・改善された溶融強度(ポリラクチドを超える>100%の改善)、及び
・改善された曲げ特性(破断点伸びにおいて>10%増加)。
1〜5重量%のアクリル−メタクリルコポリマーを含有する95〜99%のポリラクチドブレンドを、二軸押出器を使用して溶融押出することによって形成させた。押出中における処理温度及び溶融温度をポリラクチドの溶融温度よりも高く(>152℃)維持して均質な溶融を確保した。押出物をペレット化し、そして射出成形により又は2本ロールミルにより処理加工した。射出成形をポリラクチド溶融温度よりも高いノズル温度(>152℃)で実行し、そして型温度をポリラクチドのガラス転移温度よりも低く(<50℃)維持した。<60秒のサイクル時間及び二重空洞ASTM屈曲バー型を使用した。離型を、排出中に部分的な反りが観察されるまで成形試料を集めることによって評価した。清浄な型表面(離型剤なし)上で処理されたショットの数を溶融剥離特性の基準として使用した。2本ロールミル処理を、ポリラクチドの溶融温度よりも高く(>152℃)これらのロールを加熱することによって実行した。それぞれのロール速度、ギャップ寸法及びロールrpmを、それぞれ1から1.3、0.02から0.1mm及び10から30rpmまで変化させた。このブレンドを、連続フィルムがこれらのロール上で形成されるまで(帯状物)これらのロールに導入した。次いで、このフィルムを切断し、そしてこのフィルムがロールから引っ張ることができなくなるまで30秒ごとにロールから引っ張った。固着に要した時間をミル固着の測定値として記録した。

該バイオポリマーの重量を基準にして、10重量%までという低レベルの衝撃改質剤と
を含むバイオポリマー組成物。 - 前記衝撃改質剤が少なくとも2種の異なるタイプの衝撃改質剤を含む、請求項1に記載のバイオポリマー組成物。
- 前記バイオポリマーが10,000〜3,000,000g/molの重量平均分子量を有する、請求項1に記載のバイオポリマー組成物。
- 前記アクリルコポリマーが2種以上のコポリマーのブレンドである、請求項1に記載のバイオポリマー組成物。
- 前記組成物が透明である、請求項1に記載のバイオポリマー組成物。
- 前記バイオポリマー組成物がデンプン、セルロース、多糖類,脂肪族又は芳香族ポリエステル、ナイロン11及びポリカプロラクタムよりなる群から選択される1種以上のバイオポリマーを0〜69.9重量%含む、請求項1に記載のバイオポリマー組成物。
- 請求項1に記載のバイオポリマー組成物を含む成形物品。
- バイオポリマー又はバイオポリマーブレンドの特性を改善させる方法であって、1種以上のアクリルコポリマー0.1〜15重量%と、該バイオポリマー又はバイオポリマーブレンド85〜99.9重量%とを混合させてバイオポリマー組成物を製造することを含み、ここで、該バイオポリマーは、ポリラクチド及びポリヒドロキシブチレートよりなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の合成バイオポリマーを含み、該ポリラクチド及び/又はポリヒドロキシブチレートは、全バイオポリマー組成物の30〜99.9重量%を占め、該アクリルコポリマーは、1000000を超えかつ3000000g/molまでの重量平均分子量を有し、かつ、アクリル及び/又はメタクリル単量体単位60パーセント以上と、スチレン、α−メチルスチレン、ブタジエン、酢酸ビニル、フッ化ビニリデン、塩化ビニリデン、アクリロニトリル、スルホン酸ビニル、硫化ビニル及びビニルスルホキシドよりなる群から選択される1種以上の他のエチレン系不飽和単量体単位0〜40%とからなり、しかも、該バイオポリマー組成物は、該バイオポリマーの重量を基準にして、10重量%までという低レベルの衝撃改質剤をさらに含むものとする、前記方法。
