Description
EGR冷却は、未来の排出規制では、大量のEGR流に関してNOxの量をさらに減少させることが求められ、以ってEGR冷却に関してさらなる要求が課せられることになるため、ますます重要な問題となる。EGR冷却器がより大型になると、エンジンのシステム効率と冷却器の物理的配置とに関する問題がより大きくなる。本発明は、EGR冷却に係わる問題を緩和するものである。
Claims (14)
- 第1の排気ガス流であるEGR流をエンジン(1)の出口側(3)から前記エンジン(1)の入口側(2)へと導くようになっているEGR機構(4、13、14、16)と、
第2の排気ガス流である排気ガス流を前記エンジン(1)の前記出口側(3)から離れる方向に導くようになっている排気ガス導管(5)と、
前記排気ガス導管(5)に結合されるターボ等のエネルギー回収装置(6)であって、排気ガスエネルギーを前記排気ガス流から回収するようになっているエネルギー回収装置(6)とからなる内燃機関排気システムにおいて、
前記EGR流の少なくとも一部分と前記排気ガス流の少なくとも一部分との間において熱交換を可能にするようになっている熱交換器(15)と、前記排気ガス流の温度が所定値より高い時には、前記排気ガス流の少なくとも一部分が前記熱交換器(15)を迂回することを可能にするようになっている第1の排気ガスバイパス弁(7)と第2の排気ガス導管(8)と、前記EGR流の温度が所定値より高い時には、前記EGR流の少なくとも一部分が前記熱交換器(15)を迂回することを可能にするようになっているEGRバイパス弁(16)とEGRバイパス導管(13)とを含み、
前記熱交換器(15)は、前記エネルギー回収装置(6)の下流のある位置において前記排気ガス導管(5)に結合され、
これにより前記熱交換器(15)内に配置された触媒材料の損傷/不活性化が回避されることを特徴とする内燃機関排気システム。 - 前記排気ガス流と接触する前記熱交換器(15)の表面の少なくとも一部分は、前記排気ガス流中の有害化合物を変換するようになっている触媒材料により被覆されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記EGR流と接触する前記熱交換器(15)の表面の少なくとも一部分は、前記EGR流中の化合物を変換するようになっている触媒材料により被覆されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のシステム。
- 前記熱交換器(15)の上流において前記排気ガス流と接触する表面の少なくとも一部分は、吸着/脱着剤を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記熱交換器(15)の上流において前記EGR流と接触する表面の少なくとも一部分は、吸着/脱着剤を備えることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記排気ガス流中の有害化合物を変換するようになっている触媒コンバータ(10)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記排気ガス流の少なくとも一部分が前記触媒コンバータを迂回することを可能にするようになっている第2の排気ガスバイパス弁(9)と第3の排気ガス導管(11)とを含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記排気ガス流が前記熱交換器(15)および前記触媒コンバータ(10)を迂回するように構成される排気ガス導管(5、8、11)と排気ガスバイパス弁(7、9)とを含むことを特徴とする請求項6または7に記載のシステム。
- 前記バイパス弁(7、9、16)を制御するようになっている制御システムを含むことを特徴とする請求項1、7または8のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記エネルギー回収装置(6)は、前記排気ガス流によって駆動されるようになっている少なくとも1個のタービンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記エネルギー回収装置(6)は、前記排気ガス流中の熱エネルギーを電気エネルギーに変換するようになっている熱電材料を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記内燃機関(1)は、ディーゼル機関であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記EGR機構は、追加のEGR冷却器(14)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至12のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 前記EGR冷却器(14)は、前記熱交換器(15)と一体化されることを特徴とする請求項13に記載のシステム。
