Description
本発明は概して生分解性重合体又は重合体ブレンド及びそれから製造されるシートに関する。さらに詳しくは、本発明は、シートをより一層高い液体抵抗性にする生分解性重合体又はブレンドによって被覆又は含浸される、繊維シートに関する。得られるシートは、使い捨てラップ、袋物(バッグ)、パウチ又は他の包装材料のような多くの適用に適切である。
豊かになると、物を購入する能力がより一層高まり、及び物が蓄積されてくる。これまで世界の歴史において、このように多くの人々がこのように多大な購買力を持ったことはなかった。本、道具、玩具及び食物のような比較的安価な物品を購入できることは、現実的に社会のあらゆる階層の人々によって、その範囲のより一層貧しい極にあると考えられる人々によってでさえ、享受される贅沢である。購入する物の大部分は予め包装されているので、日常的に固形廃棄物として環境中に廃棄される使い捨て包装材料の量は甚だ増大してきた。したがって、社会がより一層豊かになるにつれて、より一層多くの使い捨てごみが生じる。

剛性熱可塑性生分解性重合体に、テレフタル酸基の1部分を少なくとも1種の脂肪族二塩基酸で置換した修飾されたポリエチレンテレフタレートが包含される、請求項1記載の製品。

剛性熱可塑性生分解性重合体に、少なくとも1種のポリエステルアミド、少なくとも約10℃のガラス転移温度を持つポリヒドロキシ酪酸、グリコリド、ラクチド及びε−カプロラクトンから形成される単位を含む三元共重合体、又は少なくとも1種の二塩基酸、少なくとも1種のジオール、及び少なくとも1種のアミノ酸から形成されるポリエステルアミドが包含される、請求項1記載の製品。

本発明は創意に富む生分解性重合体又は重合体ブレンドを用いて被覆又は含浸される繊維シートに関する。本発明に従う処置繊維シートは、通常のプラスチックが、環境中に廃棄されるときに、それらの分解されないという性質をこうむり、特別な処置の不存在下には容易に印刷できず、及び一般的に乏しい永久折れ目性の特性しか持たないのに対して、いろいろな意味において優れている。これら処置シートは、改善された強度、柔軟性、伸び、温度安定性、マイクロ波適用可能性、加工性、及び永久折れ目性を持つように設計することができる。
(II.処置シート)
本発明の範囲内には、この技術で既知の種々の繊維シートを被覆又は含浸させることが含まれる。例には、広範な様々の薄葉紙、普通の紙、板紙、フェルト、織物及び不織物が包含される。1具体例では、繊維シートは12-15lb/3000ft2の薄葉紙からなる。12-15lb/3000ft2の薄葉紙を被覆又は含浸させることで、食物ラップとして用いるのに特に適切な処置シートがもたらされる。本発明の範囲内には、広範な可能な重量、例えば、8lb/3000ft2から60lb/3000ft2までを持つ薄葉紙及び紙を処置することが含まれることが理解される。

次の例は、生分解性重合体ブレンド、並びにそれから処置繊維シートを形成するための組成物及び処理条件をより一層詳しく教示するために提示する。例には、創意に富む生分解性重合体ブレンドの種々の混合デザイン、そのうえ、それらのブレンドを製造し、及び次いで、それらから重合体シート及び薄膜を形成するための種々の処理が包含される。

任意の上述の生分解性重合体ブレンドを用いて、繊維シートの少なくとも1種の側を被覆又は含浸させる。重合体ブレンドを、加熱し、混合するか、又はそれ以外で処理して熱可塑性の溶融体にし、及び次いでドクタブレードを用いて繊維シートの表面上に拡げる。繊維シートを動かす一方でドクタブレードを静止させる。代わりに、繊維シート上に、この技術において既知の吹付塗布(spray-coating)技術を用いて重合体ブレンドを噴霧する。
任意の上述の生分解性重合体ブレンドを、シリカを添加することか、又は若干のか、又はすべての炭酸カルシウムをシリカで置き換えることによって修飾する。修飾組成物を用い、繊維シートの少なくとも1種の側を被覆又は含浸させる。重合体ブレンドを、加熱するか、混合するか、又はそれ以外で処理して、熱可塑性溶融体にし、及び次いで繊維シートの表面上に、ドクタブレードを用いて拡げる。繊維シートを動かす一方でドクタブレードを静止させる。代わりに、繊維シート上に、この技術において既知の吹付塗布技術を用いて、重合体ブレンドを噴霧する。
任意の上述の組成物を、少なくとも1部分の粒状充填材を除去し、及び次いで修飾生分解性組成物を用いて繊維シートの1種の又は双方の側を被覆する。
Claims (7)
- 製品であって、
繊維シートを備え、
少なくとも1部分の繊維シートが、繊維シートをより一層高い液体抵抗性にする生分解性組成物によって被覆又は含浸されており、
生分解性組成物が、0℃よりも低いガラス転移温度を持つ少なくとも1種のポリヒドロキシアルカン酸、及び少なくとも10℃のガラス転移温度を持つ少なくとも1種のポリヒドロキシアルカン酸を含む、製品。 - 製品であって、
繊維シートを備え、
少なくとも1部分の繊維シートが、繊維シートをより一層高い液体抵抗性にする生分解性組成物によって被覆又は含浸されており、
生分解性組成物が、0℃よりも低いガラス転移温度を持つ少なくとも1種のポリヒドロキシアルカン酸、及び少なくとも10℃のガラス転移温度を持つ少なくとも1種のポリヒドロキシ酪酸を含む、製品。 - 製品であって、
繊維シートを備え、
少なくとも1部分の繊維シートが、繊維シートをより一層高い液体抵抗性にする生分解性組成物によって被覆又は含浸されており、
生分解性組成物が、0℃よりも低いガラス転移温度を持つ少なくとも1種のポリヒドロキシ酪酸、及び少なくとも10℃のガラス転移温度を持つ少なくとも1種のポリヒドロキシ酪酸を含む、製品。 - 繊維シートに、薄葉紙、紙又は板紙が包含される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の製品。
- 繊維シートが12−15lb/3000ft2(およそ19.53−およそ24.41g/m2)の薄葉紙からなる、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の製品。
- 生分解性組成物が重量で少なくとも30%の無機充填材を含有する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の製品。
