Claims (6)
- 表示領域と前記表示領域の外側に形成された額縁領域とを有する複数の表示パネルを備え、
前記複数の表示パネルは互いに隣接する第1および第2表示パネルを含み、
前記第1表示パネルの観察者側表面と前記第2表示パネルの観察者側表面とがなす角が0°超180°未満となるように、前記第1表示パネルの前記額縁領域に前記第2表示パネルの側面が重なり、
前記第1および第2表示パネルの前記額縁領域に隣接する周辺表示領域の観察者側には、それぞれ、第1および第2導光素子が配置され、
前記第1および第2導光素子は入射面と、出射面と、前記入射面と前記出射面との間に形成された複数の導光部とを有し、
前記第1および第2導光素子の前記入射面と前記出射面との距離は、前記周辺表示領域から前記額縁領域に向かって増大し、
前記第1導光素子の体積は前記第2導光素子の体積より大きく、
前記第1導光素子の前記出射面および前記第2導光素子の前記出射面は機能性フィルムに覆われている、直視型の表示装置。 - 前記機能性フィルムと、前記第1導光素子の前記出射面および前記第2導光素子の前記出射面との間に設けられた、0.2mm以上1.0mm以下の厚さを有する接着層を更に備える、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1導光素子は、前記出射面の前記第2表示パネル側の端部、および前記入射面の前記第2表示パネル側の端部に接する側面を有し、
前記第2導光素子は、前記出射面の前記第1表示パネル側の端部、および前記入射面の前記第1表示パネル側の端部に接する側面を有し、
前記第1導光素子の前記側面と、前記第2導光素子の前記側面とが交わる角部に設けられている隙間封止部材をさらに備える、請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1導光素子は、前記出射面の前記第2表示パネル側の端部、および前記入射面の前記第2表示パネル側の端部に接する側面を有し、
前記第2導光素子は、前記出射面の前記第1表示パネル側の端部、および前記入射面の前記第1表示パネル側の端部に接する側面を有し、
前記第1導光素子の前記側面は、前記第2導光素子の前記側面と接している、請求項2に記載の表示装置。 - 透光性の前面板をさらに備え、
前記前面板は、前記第1導光素子の前記出射面および前記第2導光素子の前記出射面を覆うように接着層を介して設けられており、
前記機能性フィルムは、前記前面板上に設けられている、請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 前記前面板は、前記第1導光素子の前記出射面、前記第2導光素子の前記出射面、前記第1表示パネルの前記観察者側表面の一部、および前記第2表示パネルの前記観察者側表面の一部を覆うように配置されており、
前記前面板の観察者側表面のうち、前記第1導光素子の観察者側にある部分と前記第1表示パネルの観察者側にある部分とが交わる角部、および、前記第2導光素子の観察者側にある部分と前記第2表示パネルの観察者側にある部分とが交わる角部の少なくとも一方は曲面である、請求項5に記載の表示装置。
