Claims (11)
- 表示面を有する平面ディスプレイと、
前記平面ディスプレイの前記表示面を覆う曲面保護層と、
前記平面ディスプレイと前記曲面保護層との間に配置されており、複数の光配向セルを含む光配向層であって、前記光配向セルは、それぞれに配列方向を有し、前記光配向セルの位置と前記平面ディスプレイの中心との距離が大きくなるほど、前記光配向セルの配列方向と前記表示面とで成す夾角が小さくなる光配向層と、
を備える曲面表示装置。 - 前記光配向層は、複数の光配向セルがヒドロゲルに混合されることにより形成された請求項1に記載の曲面表示装置。
- 前記曲面保護層の材料は、ガラス、セラミック又はプラスチックである請求項1に記載の曲面表示装置。
- 前記光配向セルは、高分子微粒子、液晶分子又はポリイミドである請求項1に記載の曲面表示装置。
- 前記光配向層の屈折率は、前記曲面保護層の屈折率に近似する請求項1に記載の曲面表示装置。
- 平面ディスプレイと、複数の光配向セルを含む混合ヒドロゲルとを用意するステップと、
前記混合ヒドロゲルを前記平面ディスプレイの表示面に配置するステップと、
前記混合ヒドロゲルが前記平面ディスプレイと曲面保護層との間に位置するように、前記曲面保護層で前記平面ディスプレイを覆うステップと、
位置に応じて前記光配向セルの配列方向を調整するステップと、
前記光配向セルの位置と前記平面ディスプレイの中心との距離が大きくなるほど、前記光配向セルの配列方向と前記表示面とで成す夾角が小さくなるように、前記混合ヒドロゲルを硬化させて光配向層を形成することにより、曲面表示装置を完成するステップと、
を含む曲面表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記混合ヒドロゲルは、前記光配向セルがヒドロゲルに混合されることにより形成された請求項6に記載の製造方法。
- 熱間曲げ又は冷間曲げによって前記曲面保護層を製造するステップを更に含む請求項6に記載の製造方法。
- ゾルゲル法によって前記曲面保護層を製造するステップを更に含む請求項6に記載の製造方法。
- 前記混合ヒドロゲルは、前記表示面の中央からエッジまでの位置に配置され、
位置に応じて前記光配向セルの配列方向を調整するステップは、
前記表示面の中央領域に位置する少なくとも一部の前記混合ヒドロゲルを遮蔽するステップと、
前記表示面のエッジ領域に位置する少なくとも他の一部の前記混合ヒドロゲルを調整するステップと、
を含む請求項6に記載の製造方法。 - 位置に応じて前記光配向セルの配列方向を調整するステップは、紫外線偏光によって少なくとも一部の前記混合ヒドロゲルを照射することにより、前記光配向セルの配列方向を調整する請求項6に記載の製造方法。
