Description
以下に、一実施例に沿って本発明をさらに詳細に説明するが、本発明はこれらによりなんら制約されるものではない。
まず、基材へのDLC膜のコーティングについて説明する。本実施例において基材には、長さ50mm、幅5mm、厚さ55μmのアルミニウム合金(JIS−8021材合金相当)及びポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)を用いた。
基材の表面に形成したDLC膜にプラズマを照射することによりその表面を活性化した後、機能性の成分をDLC膜の表面にグラフトする。図2には、本実施例において使用したプラズマ照射装置を模式的に示している。
本実施例においては、活性化したDLC膜に、親水性の2-ヒドロキシプロピルメタクリルアミド(HPMA)をグラフトする例について説明する。

Claims (7)
- 基材の表面にダイヤモンド様薄膜を形成するダイヤモンド様薄膜形成工程と、
前記ダイヤモンド様薄膜の表面に重合開始点となる反応性の部位を生起させる活性化工程と、
前記重合開始点を用いて生体適合性を有する重合体が得られるモノマーを重合させることにより、前記ダイヤモンド様薄膜の表面に前記モノマーの重合体をグラフトする重合工程とを備え、
前記活性化工程は、前記ダイヤモンド様薄膜の表面に存在する炭素−炭素結合を開裂させる工程である医療用材料の製造方法。 - 前記ダイヤモンド様薄膜形成工程よりも前に、前記基材と前記ダイヤモンド様薄膜との密着性を向上させる中間層を前記基材の表面に形成する中間層形成工程をさらに備えている請求項1に記載の医療用材料の製造方法。
- 前記中間層形成工程において、前記中間層を珪素及び炭素を主成分とするアモルファス膜により形成する請求項2に記載の医療用材料の製造方法。
- 前記活性化工程は、前記重合開始点としてフリーラジカルを生起させる工程である請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の医療用材料の製造方法。
- 前記活性化工程は、前記ダイヤモンド様薄膜の表面にプラズマを照射するプラズマ照射工程である請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の医療用材料の製造方法。
- 前記プラズマ照射工程において照射するプラズマは、アルゴン、キセノン、ネオン、ヘリウム、クリプトン、窒素、酸素、アンモニア、水素又は水蒸気のプラズマである請求項5に記載の医療用材料の製造方法。
- 前記生体適合性を有する重合体が得られるモノマーは、エチレンオキシド基、水酸基、アミノ基、ホスホリルコリン基、リン酸基、スルホン酸基若しくは核酸塩基を含むモノマー、又はジメチルシロキサン若しくはフッ素を含有するモノマーである請求項1から6のいずれか1項に記載の医療用材料の製造方法。
