Description
液晶表示パネルを構成する画素電極、TFT(Thin Film Transistor)等が形成されているTFT基板、カラーフィルタが形成されている対向基板のガラス基板は例えば、0.5mmあるいは0.7mmというように規格化されている。これらの規格化されたガラス基板を市場から入手するのは困難である。また、非常に薄いガラス基板は製造工程で機械的強度、撓み等で問題を生じ、製造歩留まりを低下させる。その結果、規格化されたガラス基板を用いて液晶表示パネルを形成後、液晶表示パネルの外面を研磨して薄くしている。
Claims (10)
- 画素電極と前記画素電極への信号を制御するTFTがマトリクス状に配置されたTFT基板と、前記画素電極に対応するカラーフィルタが形成された対向基板とを備えた液晶表示パネルを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記対向基板には上偏光板が接着され、前記上偏光板にはガラスで形成された面板が接着され、
前記上偏光板と前記面板とは紫外線硬化樹脂で接着されており、
前記面板の内側には額縁状に遮光膜が形成されており、前記遮光膜は、黒色インクを印刷することによって形成されており、前記黒色インク中に含まれるSiの量は、前記額縁を構成する遮光膜の成分の0.7%以下、0.01%以上であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記黒色インク中に含まれるSiの量は、前記額縁を構成する遮光膜の成分の0.5%以下、0.01%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記黒色インクはカーボンブラックを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記額縁は前記面板に印刷された後、70℃以下で30分以下の条件にて乾燥されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記額縁は前記面板に印刷された後、60℃以下で60分以下の条件にて乾燥されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記面板はアクリル樹脂によって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 画素電極と前記画素電極への信号を制御するTFTがマトリクス状に配置されたTFT基板と、前記画素電極に対応するカラーフィルタが形成された対向基板とを備えた液晶表示パネルを有する液晶表示装置であって、
前記対向基板には上偏光板が接着され、前記上偏光板にはガラスで形成された面板が接着され、
前記上偏光板と前記面板とは紫外線硬化樹脂で接着されており、
前記面板の内側には額縁状に遮光膜が形成されており、前記遮光膜は、黒色インクを印刷することによって形成されており、前記黒色インクには、炭化水素系添加剤が1.2%以下、0.1%以上含まれていることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記黒色インクのSi含有量は0.01%よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記黒色インクはカーボンブラックを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記面板はアクリル樹脂によって形成されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
