Description
本明細書で使用される、「接着剤」または「歯科用接着剤」とは、「歯科材料」(例えば、「修復材」、歯科矯正装置(例えば、ブラケット)、または「歯科矯正用接着剤」)を歯科構造に付着させるために、歯科構造(例えば、歯)上で前処理として使用される組成物を意味する。「歯科矯正用接着剤」とは、歯科構造(例えば、歯)の表面に歯科矯正装置を接着するために使用される高(一般に40重量%を超える)充填組成物(「歯科用接着剤」よりも「修復材料」に類似している)を意味する。一般に、歯科構造の表面は、歯科構造への「歯科矯正用接着剤」の接着性を高めるために、例えば、エッチング、下塗り、および接着剤の塗布によって前処理される。
セルフエッチング接着剤は、エッチング液で歯科構造表面を前処理することなく、歯科構造に結合する接着剤を意味する。好ましくは、セルフエッチング接着剤は、別個のエッチング液またはプライマーが使用されないセルフプライマーとしても機能する。セルフエッチング接着剤は当業者にはよく知られており、例えば、(特許文献1)(アリオ(Ario)ら);(特許文献2)(Abuelyaman);2004年8月11日出願の(特許文献3);および2004年8月11日出願の(特許文献4)に開示されている接着剤が挙げられる。例示的なセルフエッチング接着剤としては、3Mエスペ社(3M ESPE)(ミネソタ州セントポール(St.Paul,MN))から商品名ADPER PROMPT L−POPとして市販されている接着剤も挙げられる。
粘着性組成物とは、歯科構造をプライマーまたはボンディング剤で前処理することなく、歯科構造に接着することができる組成物を意味する。好ましくは、粘着性組成物は、別個のエッチング液が使用されないセルフエッチング組成物でもある。粘着性組成物は当業者にはよく知られており、例えば、(特許文献5)(ヘクト(Hecht)ら)および2004年8月11日出願の(特許文献6)に開示されている組成物が挙げられる。
本明細書に記載の酸感受性色素を含む水性液は、歯科構造の表面が、それにセルフエッチング接着剤または粘着性組成物を塗布する前に適切に湿潤されているかどうかを医師が判断するのを助けるのに特に有用である。
エナメルまたは象牙質に対する接着剤せん断接着強さの試験方法
所定の試験試料の接着剤せん断接着強さを以下の手順によって評価した。
6−メタクリルオキシヘキシルホスフェート(P2O5からのMHP)
6−メタクリルオキシヘキシルホスフェートの合成:機械攪拌機と、フラスコに乾燥した空気を吹き込む細いチューブとを備えた1L三口フラスコに、1,6−ヘキサンジオール(1000.00g、8.46mol、シグマ・アルドリッチ社(Sigma−Aldrich))を入れた。固体ジオールを90℃に加熱し、その温度ですべての固体が融解した。連続的に攪拌しながら、p−トルエンスルホン酸結晶(18.95g、0.11mol)、続いてBHT(2.42g、0.011mol)およびメタクリル酸(728.49.02g、8.46mol)を添加した。攪拌しながら90℃での加熱を5時間続け、その間、30分間の各反応時間後、水道水吸引器を使用して、5〜10分間真空にした。加熱を止め、反応混合物を室温に冷却した。得られた粘性液を10%炭酸ナトリウム水溶液(2×240ml)で2回洗浄し、続いて水(2×240ml)で洗浄し、最後に飽和NaCl水溶液100mlで洗浄した。無水Na2SO4を使用して、得られた油を乾燥させ、次いで吸引真空濾過によって単離し、6−ヒドロキシヘキシルメタクリレート、黄色い油1067g(67.70%)を得た。所望の生成物は1,6−ビス(メタクリロイルオキシヘキサン)15〜18%と共に形成された。化学的キャラクタリゼーションは、NMR分析による。
ジルコニアゾル(217.323g;固形分23.5%;イリノイ州ネーパーヴィルのナルコ社(Nalco,Naperville,IL))をプラスチックフラスコに計り入れ、次いで、プラスチックフラスコに収容された、1−メトキシ−2−プロパノール(200.001g;シグマ・アルドリッチ社(Sigma−Aldrich))中のモノ−2−(メタクリロイルオキシ)エチルスクシネート(28.796g;シグマ・アルドリッチ社(Sigma−Aldrich))の溶液に、激しく攪拌しながらゆっくりと添加した。次いで、得られた混合物を対流オーブン内で90℃で粉末状(乾燥状態)に乾燥させて、続いて、後の再分散を容易にするために、乳鉢および乳棒で微粉末状に粉砕した。ジルコニア充填剤の平均一次粒径は約5nmであり、50〜75nmのゆるい凝集塊を有した。
水(5g)にローズベンガル(7.5mg)を溶解することによって、色素水溶液を調製した。ミクロブラシを使用して、表面が目に見える赤みを帯びた色/ピンク色になるように、乾燥した歯の表面に色素溶液を塗布した。次いで、着色された湿潤した歯の表面に、歯科用接着剤組成物(接着剤組成物A、表1)をミクロブラシによって塗布した。歯の表面と接着剤とが接触すると、表面は、赤みを帯びた色/ピンク色から無色に変化した。接着剤層を乾燥させ、接着剤(接着剤組成物A)の第2層を乾燥した歯の表面に塗布し、弱くエアーを吹付けた。次いで、歯の表面を10秒間硬化し、硬化して16時間後にせん断接着強さについて評価した。最初の歯の作製、硬化条件、および接着結合強度の試験手順は一般に、本明細書に記載される、エナメルまたは象牙質に対する接着剤せん断接着強さの試験方法に記述されるとおりである。得られたSBS試験結果は、エナメルに対して26.8MPa(6回反復試験の平均)および象牙質に対して29.9MPa(2回反復試験の平均)であった。
実施例1に記載されるローズベンガル色素水溶液の1成分を接着剤組成物A(表1)の2成分と混合した。2成分を接触させ、共に混合した際に、混合物の色は、赤みを帯びた色/ピンク色から本質的に無色へと変化した。色の変化は、混合が完全に行われたことを示す。この実施例から、酸感受性色素が、酸性成分(例えば、セルフエッチング接着剤)および色素を含む第2成分に対する接触または混合指示薬としての役割を果たし得ることが実証されている。
Claims (5)
- 酸感受性色素と水とを含む液体;および
セルフエッチング接着剤と、粘着性組成物とのうちの1つまたは複数;
を備え、
前記粘着性組成物が、酸性官能基を有するエチレン性不飽和化合物、酸性官能基を含有しないエチレン性不飽和化合物、および開始剤系を含むキット。 - 前記酸感受性色素および前記水を含む前記液体で歯科構造の表面を湿潤させる段階;及び
その上に組成物が塗布された歯科構造表面の部分に視覚的に確認可能な色の変化を生じさせるのに有効な条件下にて、湿潤歯科構造表面の少なくとも一部に組成物を塗布する段階;
を含む塗布方法に用いられる、請求項1に記載のキット。 - 前記酸感受性色素が、ローズベンガル、ブロモチモールブルー、メチルレッド、メチルオレンジ、エリトロシンB、エオシンY、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1または2に記載のキット。
- 前記液体が酸感受性色素0.0001〜5重量%を含有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載のキット。
- 前記セルフエッチング接着剤が、酸性官能基を有するエチレン性不飽和化合物、酸性官能基を含有しないエチレン性不飽和化合物、および開始剤系を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載のキット。
