Claims (7)
- 機械研削によって液晶層側の表面に対向する表面に溝が形成されているガラス基板と、前記ガラス基板の溝が形成されている表面に、前記溝を埋めるように形成され且つ表面平滑である透明的な塗布層と、を含み、
前記ガラス基板の液晶層側の表面に対向する表面の粗雑度が0.5μm〜3μmとされることを特徴とする液晶封入用のガラス基板。 - 前記塗布層は樹脂材料からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶封入用のガラス基板。
- 前記塗布層の材料は光硬化樹脂であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶封入用のガラス基板。
- 前記塗布層の厚さは0.5μm〜5μmとされることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の液晶封入用のガラス基板。
- 機械研削によって液晶層側の表面に対向する表面に溝が形成されて0.5μm〜3μmの粗雑度を有するガラス基板を提供する段階と、
前記ガラス基板の溝が形成されている表面に、前記溝を埋めるように表面が平滑である透明的な塗布層を形成する段階と、
を含むことを特徴とする液晶封入用のガラス基板の製造方法。 - 前記塗布層は浸漬方法又は回転塗布方法を介して前記ガラス基板の表面に形成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶封入用のガラス基板の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のガラス基板を少なくとも一枚を利用する両枚のガラス基板と、前記基板に封入される液晶と、を含むことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
