Claims (5)
- 透明な読取面を介して原稿を読み取る読取手段と、前記読取面に対向して配置され、該読取面との間で前記原稿を通過させる経路を形成する搬送面を有する透明部材と、前記透明部材を挟んで前記読取面の反対側に配置され、前記透明部材における前記搬送面の背面に対向する表面を有する白色部材と、を備えた原稿読取装置において、
前記透明部材の前記背面に近接した位置に回転軸を有し、この回転軸を支点に前記白色部材を、その前記表面が前記透明部材の前記背面に対して平行となるバックアップ位置と垂直となる退避位置に回動させる回動手段と、前記回動手段によって前記バックアップ位置に回動された前記白色部材の表面が当接し、前記透明部材の前記背面と前記白色部材の前記表面との間に一定の隙間を形成する規制手段と、を備えたことを特徴とする画像読取装置。 - 前記透明部材が取り付けられ、その内側を黒色で形成された箱状のベース部材を設けるとともに、この箱状の前記ベース部材の内部に前記白色部材と前記回動手段を設け、前記回動手段の前記回動軸は前記ベース部材に係合され、前記ベース部材は前記回動手段を回動自在に支持することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像読取装置。
- 前記ベース部材、前記透明部材、前記白色部材が一体となってバックアップユニットで構成し、前記バックアップユニットの前記透明部材が取り付けられた面における主走査方向の両側に前記読取面に当接する当接部を設けるとともにこの当接部を該読取面に当接させる方向に前記バックアップユニットを付勢する付勢部材を設けたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の画像読取装置。
- 前記白色部材は、前記回動手段に固定される一端部と前記一端部から延設されて前記規制手段に当接する自由端部とを有することを特徴とする請求項1の画像読取装置。
- 前記白色部材を挟んで前記透明部材の反対側で、かつ前記読取手段の焦点深度外に黒板部材を設けた請求項1に記載の画像読読取装置。
