Claims (2)
- 相対回転する二部材のうちの一方である内周側取付部材に取り付けられる内周側密封部材(2)と、前記二部材のうちの他方である外周側取付部材に取り付けられる外周側密封部材(3)との組み合わせよりなる密封装置(1)であって、
前記内周側密封部材(2)は、前記内周側取付部材に固定される筒状部(4a)を設けた金属環(4)を有し、
前記外周側密封部材(3)は、前記金属環(4)の筒状部(4a)の外周側に非接触にて配置されるラジアルリップ(7g)を有し、
前記金属環(4)の筒状部(4a)は、前記ラジアルリップ(7g)の内径寸法(d1)よりも大きな外径寸法(d2)を備えて前記金属環(4)が前記外周側密封部材(3)から軸方向一方へ脱落するのを阻止する軸方向抜け止め部(8)を有し、
前記軸方向抜け止め部(8)は、前記筒状部(4a)の先端に薄肉状円筒部(4c)を設けてこの薄肉状円筒部(4c)を径方向斜め外方へ折り曲げることにより形成され、これにより前記筒状部(4a)の外周面に環状の段差部(4d)が形成され、
前記ラジアルリップ(7g)のリップ端が前記段差部(4d)の外周側に非接触で配置されることにより、前記ラジアルリップ(7g)と前記軸方向抜け止め部(8)との間に、流路幅が狭くかつ流路形状が複雑な小間隙部(9)が設定され、これによりラビリンス作用の強化されたラビリンスシール(10)が設けられていることを特徴とする密封装置。 - 相対回転する二部材のうちの一方である内周側取付部材に取り付けられる内周側密封部材(2)と、前記二部材のうちの他方である外周側取付部材に取り付けられる外周側密封部材(3)との組み合わせよりなる密封装置(1)であって、
前記内周側密封部材(2)は、前記内周側取付部材に固定される筒状部(4a)および前記筒状部(4a)の一端から径方向外方へ向けて一体成形された径方向立ち上がり部(4b)を設けた金属環(4)を有し、
前記外周側密封部材(3)は、前記金属環(4)の径方向立ち上がり部(4b)に摺動自在に密接する複数のサイドリップ(7e)(7f)および前記金属環(4)の筒状部(4a)の外周側に非接触にて配置されるラジアルリップ(7g)を有し、
前記金属環(4)の筒状部(4a)は、前記ラジアルリップ(7g)の内径寸法(d1)よりも大きな外径寸法(d2)を備えて前記金属環(4)が前記外周側密封部材(3)から軸方向一方へ脱落するのを阻止する軸方向抜け止め部(8)を有し、
前記軸方向抜け止め部(8)は、前記筒状部(4a)の先端に薄肉状円筒部(4c)を設けてこの薄肉状円筒部(4c)を径方向斜め外方へ折り曲げることにより形成され、これにより前記筒状部(4a)の外周面に環状の段差部(4d)が形成され、
前記ラジアルリップ(7g)のリップ端が前記段差部(4d)の外周側に非接触で配置されることにより、前記ラジアルリップ(7g)と前記軸方向抜け止め部(8)との間に、流路幅が狭くかつ流路形状が複雑な小間隙部(9)が設定され、これによりラビリンス作用の強化されたラビリンスシール(10)が設けられていることを特徴とする密封装置。
