Claims (7)
- 光ピックアップにソリッドイマージョンレンズが設けられているか否かを判別するステップと、
前記ソリッドイマージョンレンズが設けられているか否かによって記録媒体から所定の判別信号を検出するステップと、
判別信号検出の可否に従って、前記所定の記録媒体判別信号を再検出するか否かを決定するステップと、
前記所定の記録媒体の判別信号が検出された場合、対応する光ピックアップを利用して記録媒体にデータの記録/再生を開始するステップとを備える記録媒体の確認方法において、
前記現在の光ピックアップにソリッドイマージョンレンズが設けられてない場合、記録媒体のヘッダー部分のフリーピットを再生する信号を利用して現在挿入されている記録媒体に対する判別信号を検出し、
前記現在の光ピックアップにソリッドイマージョンレンズが設けられている場合、プッシュ・プル信号を利用して現在挿入されている記録媒体に対する判別信号を検出することを特徴とする記録媒体の確認方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの光ピックアップによって所定の判別信号を検出する方法は、現在設定している光ピックアップの種類を判別し、現在設置されている記録媒体から対応する光ピックアップに従って所定の判別信号を検出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録媒体の確認方法。
- 前記所定の判別信号が検出されない場合、現在の光ピックアップを他の光ピックアップに切り替えて所定の記録媒体判別信号を再検出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録媒体の確認方法。
- 前記データの記録/再生が不可能である場合、現在の光ピックアップを他の光ピックアップに切り替えて所定の記録媒体判別信号を再検出した後、対応する光ピックアップを利用して記録媒体にデータの記録/再生を開始することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録媒体の確認方法。
- 前記現在の光ピックアップを前記他の光ピックアップに切り替えても前記記録媒体判別信号が所定回数以内に再検出されない場合、対応する記録媒体をトレイから排出することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の記録媒体の確認方法。
- 前記他の光ピックアップに切り替える方法は、ソリッドイマージョンレンズのスイッチングによって行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録媒体の確認方法。
- 前記光ピックアップは、遠隔場方式と近接場方式の互換光ピックアップを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録媒体の確認方法。
