Description
異なる3つのレベルを利用することにより、ひとつの信号で、3つのモードを切り換えるとともに、第3モードにおいては、制御信号に応じたパルス信号を生成することができる。
この場合、制御信号の第2レベルは、第2モードと第3モードで利用されることになり、いずれのモードでも、制御信号が第2レベルの期間は、モータのコイルの通電時間に対応するため、回路を簡素化することができる。
この態様によると、着信があると、振動モータの回転数が、短時間で所定の値に達するため、ユーザが電子機器の振動を感知し、着信を認識するまでの時間を短縮することができる。
図1は、本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る振動モータ1およびそれを駆動するためのモータ駆動回路100を含むモータユニット2の構成を示す回路図である。モータユニット2は、振動モータ1、ホール素子3、モータ駆動回路100を備え、ひとつのパッケージを構成する。
第1ハイサイドトランジスタMH1、第1ローサイドトランジスタML1のオンオフ状態は、各トランジスタのゲートに印加される第1ハイサイド駆動信号SH1、第1ローサイド駆動信号SL1によって制御される。第1ハイサイドトランジスタMH1がオンのとき、第1スイッチング電圧Vsw1は電源電圧Vddとなり、第1ローサイドトランジスタML1がオンのとき、第1スイッチング電圧Vsw1は接地電位(0V)となる。
その結果、パルス信号S1は、起動開始から起動時間Tsの経過前までは、ハイレベルとなり、その後、デューティ比が所定値となるパルス信号となる。
3ステートコンパレータ30に、制御信号Scntがハイレベル(第1レベル)で固定的に入力される場合には、パルス幅変調器14を第1モードに設定する。このとき、3ステートコンパレータ30は、セレクタ28に、パルス信号S1を選択させる。
図2は、図1のモータ駆動回路100の第1モードにおける動作状態を示すタイムチャートである。図2は、上から順に、電源電圧Vdd、スイッチング電圧Vsw1、Vsw2、出力電流Iout1、Iout2、ホール信号H+、H−を示す。出力電流Iout1は、コイルの端子P1からP2に向かう向きの電流、出力電流Iout2は、コイルの端子P2からP1に向かう向きの電流である。
図5は、本発明の第2の実施の形態に係る振動モータ1およびそれを駆動するためのモータ駆動回路100を含むモータユニット2の構成を示す回路図である。モータユニット2は、振動モータ1、ホール素子3、モータ駆動回路100を備え、ひとつのパッケージを構成する。
第1ハイサイドトランジスタMH1、第1ローサイドトランジスタML1のオンオフ状態は、各トランジスタのゲートに印加される第1ハイサイド駆動信号SH1、第1ローサイド駆動信号SL1によって制御される。第1ハイサイドトランジスタMH1がオンのとき、第1スイッチング電圧Vsw1は電源電圧Vddとなり、第1ローサイドトランジスタML1がオンのとき、第1スイッチング電圧Vsw1は接地電位(0V)となる。
図6は、図5のモータ駆動回路100の動作状態を示すタイムチャートである。図6は、上から順に、電源電圧Vdd、スイッチング電圧Vsw1、Vsw2、出力電流Iout1、Iout2、ホール信号H+、H−を示す。出力電流Iout1は、振動モータ1のコイルの端子P1からP2に向かう向きの電流、出力電流Iout2は、コイルの端子P2からP1に向かう向きの電流である。
Claims (18)
- 駆動対象となるモータのコイルに接続されるHブリッジ回路と、
前記モータのロータの位置情報を示すホール信号を受け、矩形信号に変換するコンパレータと、
前記モータのコイルの通電時間を規定するパルス変調されたパルス信号を生成するパルス変調器と、
前記パルス信号および前記矩形信号にもとづき、前記Hブリッジ回路を駆動するプリドライバと、
を備え、
前記パルス変調器は、
予め定められた異なる第1、第2、第3レベルのいずれかの電圧レベルを取り得る外部からの制御信号を受け、前記制御信号の電圧レベルを判定する3ステートコンパレータを含み、
前記3ステートコンパレータが、前記制御信号が前記第1レベルで固定的に入力される状態を検出したとき、第1モードに設定され、
前記3ステートコンパレータが、前記制御信号が前記第2レベルで固定的に入力される状態を検出したとき、第2モードに設定され、
前記3ステートコンパレータが、前記制御信号が、前記第3レベルと、前記第1、第2レベルのいずれか一方のレベルと、を交互に繰り返すパルス状にて入力される状態を検出したとき、第3モードに設定され、
前記第1モードにおいて、前記モータの起動開始後、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を100%に設定し、その後、デューティ比を、所定値に切り換え、
前記第2モードにおいて、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を100%に設定し続け、
前記第3モードにおいて、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を前記制御信号のデューティ比に設定し、かつ前記パルス信号の周波数を前記制御信号の周波数に設定することを特徴とするモータ駆動回路。 - 前記パルス変調器に入力される前記制御信号は、パルス状に入力される際に、前記第3レベルと前記第2レベルとを交互に繰り返すように生成され、
前記パルス変調器は、前記制御信号が前記第3レベルのとき、前記モータのコイルに通電し、前記第2レベルのとき、前記モータが回生するように、前記パルス信号の論理値を設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 前記パルス変調器に入力される前記制御信号は、パルス状に入力される際に、前記第3レベルと前記第2レベルとを交互に繰り返すように生成され、
前記パルス変調器は、
前記モータの起動開始後、デューティ比が100%であり、その後デューティ比が前記所定値となる第2パルス信号を生成するパルス信号生成部と、
前記第2パルス信号と、ハイレベル電圧と、ローレベル電圧が入力され、前記パルス信号を出力すセレクタと、
をさらに含み、
前記3ステートコンパレータは、
前記制御信号が前記第1レベルのとき、前記セレクタに前記第2パルス信号を選択させ、
前記制御信号が前記第2レベルのとき、前記セレクタに前記ハイレベル電圧を選択させ、
前記制御信号が前記第3レベルのとき、前記セレクタに前記ローレベル電圧を選択させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 前記第3レベルは、前記第1レベルと第2レベルの中間レベルであることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のモータ駆動回路。
- 前記パルス変調器は、
前記第1モードにおいて、前記モータの起動開始から所定の期間、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を100%に設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 前記パルス変調器は、
前記第1モードにおいて、前記モータの起動開始後、前記モータの回転数が所定値に達するまでの期間、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を100%に設定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 1つの半導体基板上に一体集積化されたことを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のモータ駆動回路。
- 振動モータと、
前記振動モータのロータの位置情報を示すホール信号を出力するホール素子と、
前記ホール信号にもとづき、前記振動モータを駆動する請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の駆動回路と、
を備えることを特徴とするモータユニット。 - 基地局と通信する通信部と、
請求項8に記載のモータユニットと、
を備え、
前記通信部は、前記基地局からの着信があったとき、前記モータユニットに、前記振動モータの回転を指示することを特徴とする電子機器。 - 振動モータの駆動回路であって、
駆動対象となる前記振動モータのコイルに接続されるHブリッジ回路と、
前記振動モータのロータの位置情報を示すホール信号を受け、矩形信号に変換するコンパレータと、
前記振動モータのコイルの通電時間を規定するパルス変調されたパルス信号を生成するパルス変調器と、
前記パルス信号および前記矩形信号にもとづき、前記Hブリッジ回路を駆動するプリドライバと、
を備え、
前記パルス変調器は、
予め定められた異なる第1、第2、第3レベルのいずれかの電圧レベルを取り得る外部からの制御信号を受け、前記制御信号の電圧レベルを判定する3ステートコンパレータを含み、
前記3ステートコンパレータが、前記制御信号が前記第1レベルで固定的に入力される状態を検出したとき、第1モードに設定され、
前記3ステートコンパレータが、前記制御信号が前記第2レベルで固定的に入力される状態を検出したとき、第2モードに設定され、
前記3ステートコンパレータが、前記制御信号が、前記第3レベルと、前記第1、第2レベルのいずれか一方のレベルと、を交互に繰り返すパルス状にて入力される状態を検出したとき、第3モードに設定され、
前記第1モードにおいて、前記モータの起動開始後、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を100%に設定し、その後、デューティ比を、所定値に切り換え、
前記第2モードにおいて、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を100%に設定し続け、
前記第3モードにおいて、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を前記制御信号のデューティ比に設定し、かつ前記パルス信号の周波数を前記制御信号の周波数に設定することを特徴とするモータ駆動回路。 - 前記パルス変調器に入力される前記制御信号は、パルス状に入力される際に、前記第3レベルと前記第2レベルとを交互に繰り返すように生成され、
前記パルス変調器は、前記制御信号が前記第3レベルのとき、前記モータのコイルに通電し、前記第2レベルのとき、前記モータが回生するように、前記パルス信号の論理値を設定することを特徴とする請求項10に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 前記パルス変調器に入力される前記制御信号は、パルス状に入力される際に、前記第3レベルと前記第2レベルとを交互に繰り返すように生成され、
前記パルス変調器は、
前記モータの起動開始後、デューティ比が100%であり、その後デューティ比が前記所定値となる第2パルス信号を生成するパルス信号生成部と、
前記第2パルス信号と、ハイレベル電圧と、ローレベル電圧が入力され、前記パルス信号を出力すセレクタと、
をさらに含み、
前記3ステートコンパレータは、
前記制御信号が前記第1レベルのとき、前記セレクタに前記第2パルス信号を選択させ、
前記制御信号が前記第2レベルのとき、前記セレクタに前記ハイレベル電圧を選択させ、
前記制御信号が前記第3レベルのとき、前記セレクタに前記ローレベル電圧を選択させることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 前記パルス変調器は、
前記振動モータの起動開始から所定の期間、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を100%に設定することを特徴とする請求項10に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 前記パルス変調器は、
前記パルス信号のデューティ比を前記振動モータの回転数の目標値に応じた所定値に設定するためのオシレータと、前記所定の期間を測定するためのオシレータと、を共有することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 前記パルス変調器は、
前記振動モータの起動開始後、前記振動モータの回転数が所定値に達するまでの期間、前記パルス信号のデューティ比を100%に設定することを特徴とする請求項10に記載のモータ駆動回路。 - 1つの半導体基板上に一体集積化されたことを特徴とする請求項10から15のいずれかに記載のモータ駆動回路。
- 振動モータと、
前記振動モータのロータの位置情報を示すホール信号を出力するホール素子と、
前記ホール信号にもとづき、前記振動モータを駆動する請求項10から16のいずれかに記載の駆動回路と、
