Claims (11)
- カーボン膜で被覆された電極集電体を製造する方法であって、
導電性基材をチャンバ内に配置する工程と、
前記チャンバ内を減圧するとともに、該チャンバ内をフッ素系ガスと不活性ガスとの混合ガス雰囲気とし、該雰囲気下にて前記配置した基材の表面をドライエッチングするエッチング処理工程と、
前記エッチング処理した基材の表面に、実質的にカーボンから構成されたカーボン膜を形成するカーボン成膜処理工程と
を含み、
前記エッチング処理と前記カーボン成膜処理とを同一のチャンバ内で実行し、かつ、
前記チャンバ内における前記フッ素系ガスと前記不活性ガスとの混合比は、前記カーボン成膜処理によって得られるカーボン膜中のフッ素濃度が15at%以下となるように調整される、電極集電体の製造方法。 - 前記チャンバ内の混合ガス雰囲気における前記フッ素系ガスの比率は1モル%以上15モル%以下の範囲に調整される、請求項1に記載の製造方法。
- 前記フッ素系ガスは、CF 4 、SF 6 及びCHF 3 からなる群から選択される一種以上のガスである、請求項1または2に記載の製造方法。
- 前記カーボン成膜処理は、前記基材にカーボンを物理蒸着または化学蒸着することにより行われる、請求項1から3の何れか一つに記載の製造方法。
- 前記導電性基材は、アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金から成る箔状の長尺な導電性シートであり、該長尺な導電性シートの長手方向に前記エッチング処理と前記カーボン成膜処理とが連続的に行われる、請求項1から4の何れか一つに記載の製造方法。
- カーボン膜で被覆された電極集電体を製造する装置であって、
内部を減圧可能に構成されたチャンバと、
前記チャンバ内に配置され、導電性基材を保持する基材保持機構と、
前記チャンバ内にフッ素系ガスと不活性ガスとを導入するガス導入機構と
を備え、
前記チャンバの内部には、前記基材表面をドライエッチングするエッチング処理部と、該エッチングした基材表面に実質的にカーボンから構成されたカーボン膜を形成するカーボン成膜処理部と、が設けられており、
前記ガス導入機構は、所定のモル比でフッ素系ガスと不活性ガスとが混合した混合ガス雰囲気を前記チャンバ内に形成し得るように構成され、
前記フッ素系ガスと前記不活性ガスとの混合比は、前記カーボン成膜処理によって得られる前記カーボン膜のフッ素濃度が15at%以下となるように調整される、電極集電体製造装置。 - 前記チャンバ内の混合ガス雰囲気における前記フッ素系ガスの比率は1モル%以上15モル%以下の範囲に調整される、請求項6に記載の電極集電体製造装置。
- 前記フッ素系ガスは、CF 4 、SF 6 及びCHF 3 からなる群から選択される一種以上のガスである、請求項6または7に記載の電極集電体製造装置。
- 前記基材保持機構は、前記エッチング処理部を経て前記カーボン成膜処理部へと前記基材を連続的に流通させるように構成されている、請求項6から8の何れか一つに記載の電極集電体製造装置。
- 前記カーボン成膜処理部は、前記基材にカーボンを物理蒸着または化学蒸着し得るように構成されている、請求項6から9の何れか一つに記載の電極集電体製造装置。
- 請求項1から5の何れか一つに記載の製造方法、若しくは請求項6から10の何れか一つに記載の製造装置により製造された電極集電体を備えた電池。
