Description
先ず、本発明の第1の実施の形態を説明する。図1は本発明に係る表示装置の概略構成例を示す回路図であり、図2はその要部である撮像装置の第1の実施の形態を示す回路図である。
次に、本発明の第2の実施の形態を説明する。ただし、ここでは、上述した第1の実施の形態との相違点についてのみ説明する。
Claims (6)
- 一方の主電極端が電源配線と接続された薄膜トランジスタからなる光電変換素子と、
光電変換素子の薄膜トランジスタの他方の主電極端と一方の電極が接続されており、光電変換素子が変換した電荷を蓄積する蓄積容量と、
ゲート電極が光電変換素子の薄膜トランジスタの他方の主電極端及び蓄積容量の他方の電極と接続されており、蓄積容量に蓄積された電荷を受け取り増幅して出力する増幅用薄膜トランジスタ、
とを備え、
光電変換素子の薄膜トランジスタは、光を電荷に変換する光電変換機能と蓄積容量内の電荷を放電するリセット機能とが、自身のゲート電極に印加するゲート電圧により切替え可能に構成されており、
光電変換機能が働くときには、電源配線に電源電位が与えられるとともに、光電変換素子の薄膜トランジスタは、光を電荷に変換し、この変換した電荷を蓄積容量に蓄積し、
リセット機能が働くときには、蓄積容量の一方の電極の電位と等しい電位が電源配線に与えられるとともに、光電変換素子の薄膜トランジスタは、蓄積容量内の電荷を放電させる、
ように構成されており、
画像表示素子に対応して、光電変換素子、蓄積容量、及び、増幅用薄膜トランジスタが、マトリクス状に配されており、
一つのフィールド期間にて、ある行の蓄積容量の蓄積電荷読み出しと、ある行よりも読み出し順が一つ前の行の蓄積容量についてのリセット機能による電荷放電との両方を、共通の信号に基づいて行うべく、読み出し行を選択するための行選択線と当該行よりも読み出し順が一つ前の行の電源配線とが同じ配線で構成されている撮像装置。 - 増幅用薄膜トランジスタは、自身のソース電極が電源供給線に接続され、自身のゲート電極が蓄積容量に接続されてソースフォロア回路を形成している請求項1に記載の撮像装置。
- 光電変換素子の薄膜トランジスタは、受光した光量によってリーク電流が変化することにより光電変換機能が働く請求項2に記載の撮像装置。
- 光電変換素子の薄膜トランジスタは、ゲート電圧が閾値未満であるときには光電変換機能が働き、ゲート電圧が閾値以上であるときにはリセット機能が働くように構成されている請求項3に記載の撮像装置。
- 光電変換素子の薄膜トランジスタに印加されるゲート電圧を閾値以上にするとき、蓄積容量の両電極の電位を共に接地レベルに設定する請求項4に記載の撮像装置。
- マトリクス状に配された画像表示素子と、画像表示素子に付設された請求項1乃至請求項5の何れか1項に記載の撮像装置とを備えた表示装置。
