Description
連続運動を提供するための圧電セラミックの使用は公知である。たとえば、1989年10月17日に発行された米国特許第4,847,979号明細書に記載されている「インチワーム」モータなどの他の設計では、いくつかの類似の特徴、最も顕著には圧電アクチュエータから物体の運動に運動を伝達する能力が可能である機構が開示されている。また、この運動を達成するために1組の電気的ステップが必要とされることに気づくかもしれない。物体に伝達される運動は、圧電アクチュエータの動作に正比例する。圧電スタックアクチュエータは、一般に、0.0004”から0.0012”まで移動するため、大量の運動を得るために多数の電気サイクルを必要とする。いくつかの適用例は、上記で説明した発明を超える、速度、精度、および力の様々な関係を必要とする。
本明細書の説明では、いくつかの図全体にわたって同じ符号が同じ部分を指す添付の図面を参照する。
図5Aおよび5Bは、コンプレッサまたはポンプの外部形態および構造部品の両方を示している。コンプレッサまたはポンプ10aが、記述の目的のために概略図で示されている。図5A,5Bおよび図6にも示した特定の実施形態は、ポンピングまたは圧縮のベローズ方法を示しているものである。本発明が、容量型、可変容量型ポンプ/コンプレッサ能力も制限のないことを含めて、多様なポンプ/コンプレッサ方法に適用されることを当業者には理解されたい。たとえば、図示したベローズの代わりに、ピストンまたはダイヤフラムが採用されてもよい。前の例は、ポンプおよびコンプレッサに関する本発明の限界を定義するためのものではなく、本発明を使用して実施することができる広範囲のポンプ技術を示すためだけのものである。
Claims (3)
- 上側1次側部部分(18)、下側1次側部部分(20)、及びそれら1次側部部分(18、20)の一方の端部が結合された1次ウェブ部分(14)を備えたC字型部分(22)と、
前記1次ウェブ部分(14)に一方の端部が支持され且つ前記上側1次側部部分(18)及び前記下側1次側部部分(20)の間の空間に配置された1次アクチュエータ(16)と、
前記上側1次側部部分(18)の他方の端部に上側ヒンジウェブ(60)を介して接続された第1のアーム部分(24)と、
前記下側1次側部部分(20)の他方の端部に下側ヒンジウェブ(72)を介して接続された第2のアーム部分(26)と、
前記第1及び第2のアーム部分(24、26)と前記1次アクチュエータ(16)の他方の端部との間に介在する1次力伝達部材部分(40)と、
を備え、
前記第1及び第2のアーム部分(24、26)のそれぞれには、2次ウェブ部分(36、38)が一体的に付随しており、
前記2次ウェブ部分(36、38)のそれぞれには、第1の2次アーム(62、74)及び第2の2次アーム(64、76)の一方の端部が支持されるとともに、前記第1及び第2の2次アーム(62、64)(74、76)を開放位置と閉鎖位置との間で動かすための2次アクチュエータ(46、52)が設けられており、
前記C字型部分(22)と、前記ヒンジウェブ(60、72)と、前記第1及び第2のアーム部分(24、26)と、前記1次力伝達部材部分(40)と、前記第1及び第2の2次ウェブ部分(36、38)と、前記第1及び第2の2次アーム(62、64)(74、76)とは、一体の部材であり、
前記1次アクチュエータ(16)及び前記2次アクチュエータ(46、52)のそれぞれが互いに独立して動作可能であり、
前記1次アクチュエータ(16)が減勢されたとき、前記1次力伝達部材部分(40)が前記1次ウェブ部分(14)に近づく方向に移動することにより、前記第1及び第2の2次ウェブ部分(36、38)が互いに向かって引き込み位置へ運動し、
前記1次アクチュエータ(16)が付勢されたとき、前記1次力伝達部材部分(40)が前記1次ウェブ部分(14)から離れる方向に移動することにより、前記第1及び第2の2次ウェブ部分(36、38)が互いに遠ざかるように伸長位置へ運動し、
前記2次アクチュエータ(46、52)が減勢されたとき、前記第1及び第2の2次アーム部分(62、64)(74、76)が互いに向かって閉鎖位置へ運動し、
前記2次アクチュエータ(46、52)が付勢されたとき、前記第1及び第2の2次アーム部分(62、64)(74、76)が互いに遠ざかるように開放位置へ運動することを特徴とする装置。 - アクチュエータが、圧電型であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- アクチュエータが、磁気歪型であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
