Description
NO+NO2+2NH3→2N2+3H2O …(式1)
4NO+4NH3+O2→4N2+6H2O …(式2)
6NO2+8NH3→7N2+12H2O …(式3)
ここで、上記の各反応式に基づく化学反応は反応温度が相違し、そのため、NOx触媒の温度に応じて反応式割合が相違することとなる。かかる場合、例えば(式1)(式2)による反応と(式3)による反応とでは、NOx触媒におけるNOx反応量に対するアンモニア反応量の比率である反応比率(すなわち、NOxとNH3とのモル比)が相違するため、NOx触媒の温度が高低相違すると、排気中のNOx量に対してNOx浄化に使用されるアンモニア量が相違することとなる。なお、(式1)(式2)の反応による反応比率は「1」、(式3)の反応による反応比率は「8/6=1.333」である。

4NO+4NH3+O2→4N2+6H2O …(式2)
6NO2+8NH3→7N2+12H2O …(式3)
のような反応を促進して排気中のNOxを還元する。そして、これらの反応においてNOxの還元剤となるアンモニア(NH3)を添加供給するものが、同SCR触媒13の上流側に設けられた尿素水添加弁15である。
(NH2)2CO+H2O→2NH3+CO2 …(式4)
のような反応をもって、尿素水が排気熱で加水分解されることによりアンモニア(NH3)が生成され、SCR触媒13にアンモニアが吸着するとともに同SCR触媒13において排気中のNOxがアンモニアにより選択的に還元除去される。すなわち、同SCR触媒13上で、そのアンモニアに基づく還元反応(上記反応式(式1)〜(式3))が行われることによって、NOxが還元、浄化されることになる。
(1)NO/NO2比Rnをパラメータとする反応比率マップを用い、その時のNO/NO2比Rnに基づいて反応比率Rre(ベース値)を算出するとともに、その反応比率Rre(ベース値)をSCR触媒温度Tscrにより補正する。
(2)SCR触媒温度Tscrをパラメータとする反応比率マップを用い、その時のSCR触媒温度Tscrに基づいて反応比率Rre(ベース値)を算出するとともに、その反応比率Rre(ベース値)をNO/NO2比Rnにより補正する。
本発明は上記実施形態の記載内容に限定されず、例えば次のように実施されてもよい。
Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、還元剤であるアンモニアにより排気中のNOxを選択的に浄化するNOx触媒を備え、前記NOx触媒の排気上流側に還元剤添加手段により還元剤を添加する排気浄化システムに適用され、
前記NOx触媒の温度と、前記NOx触媒におけるNOx反応量に対するアンモニア反応量の比率である反応比率との関係を示す制御データをあらかじめ登録しておき、
前記NOx触媒の温度を検出する触媒温度検出手段と、
前記制御データを用いて前記NOx触媒の温度から前記反応比率を算出する反応比率算出手段と、
前記反応比率算出手段により算出した反応比率に基づいて、前記NOx触媒におけるアンモニアの消費量を算出するアンモニア消費量算出手段と、
を備えるとともに、更に、
排気中のNOとNO2との割合であるNO/NO2比を算出するNO/NO2比算出手段を備え、
前記反応比率算出手段は、前記反応比率を、前記触媒温度検出手段により検出した触媒温度と前記NO/NO2比算出手段により算出したNO/NO2比とに基づいて算出し、その際、前記NOx触媒の温度が高いほど、前記反応比率を大きい値として算出するとともに、前記NO/NO2比が小さいほど、前記反応比率を大きい値として算出し、かつ前記反応比率を1以上の値とすることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記NO/NO2比と前記反応比率との関係を示す制御データをあらかじめ登録しておき、
前記反応比率算出手段は、前記NO/NO2比と前記反応比率との関係を示す制御データを用いて前記NO/NO2比から前記反応比率を算出する請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記NOx触媒の上流側に酸化触媒を備える排気浄化システムに適用され、
前記酸化触媒の温度を検出する手段を備え、
前記NO/NO2比算出手段は、前記検出した酸化触媒の温度に基づいて前記NO/NO2比を算出する請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記アンモニア消費量算出手段により算出したアンモニア消費量に基づいて、前記NOx触媒におけるアンモニア吸着量を算出する請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
