R1R2N−L−SiXX’X”
(式中、R1およびR2は、それぞれ独立して、H、C1〜12アルキル、C1〜12アルケニル、C1〜12アルキニル、またはアリールであり、Lは、二価の直鎖C1〜12アルキレン、C3〜8シクロアルキレン、3〜8員環のヘテロシクロアルキレン、C1〜12アルケニレン、C3〜8シクロアルケニレン、3〜8員環のヘテロシクロアルケニレン、アリーレン、またはヘテロアリーレンである)を有してもよい。Lは場合により、C1〜4アルキル、C2〜4アルケニル、C2〜4アルキニル、C1〜4アルコキシ、ヒドロキシル、ハロ、カルボキシル、アミノ、ニトロ、シアノ、C3〜6シクロアルキル、3〜6員環のヘテロシクロアルキル、アリール、5〜6員環のヘテロアリール、C1〜4アルキルカルボニルオキシ、C1〜4アルキルオキシカルボニル、C1〜4アルキルカルボニル、ホルミル、C1〜4アルキルカルボニルアミノ、またはC1〜4アミノカルボニルで置換されている。場合により、Lには更に、−O−、−S−、−N(Rc)−、−N(Rc)−C(O)−、−N(Rc)−C(O)−O−、−O−C(O)−N(Rc)−、−N(Rc)−C(O)−N(Rd)−、−O−C(O)−、−C(O)−O−、または−O−C(O)−O−が介在している。RcおよびRdは、それぞれ独立して、水素、アルキル、アルケニル、アルキニル、アルコキシ、ヒドロキシアルキル、ヒドロキシル、またはハロアルキルである。X、X’、およびX”は、それぞれ、C1〜18アルキル、ハロゲン、C1〜8アルコキシ、C1〜8アルキルカルボニルオキシ、またはアミノ基である。アミノ置換有機シランが加水分解性置換基を有する場合は、X、X’、およびX”のうち少なくとも1つはアルキルではない。更に、X、X’、およびX”の任意の2つが共有結合を介して結合していてもよい。アミノ基はアルキルアミノ基であってもよい。
ポリマーフィルム(即ち基材)を調製するため、表1Aおよび1Bに示すポリマーの顆粒を厚さ0.38mmの2枚のポリテトラフルオロエチレンシートの間に載置して200℃で2〜3分間軟化させた。次いでこの軟化した材料をウォバシュ(Wabash)油圧プレス(インディアナ州ウォバシュのウォバシュ・メタル・プロダクツ・カンパニー・インコーポレーテッドの油圧部(Wabash Metal Products Company,Inc.,Hydraulic Division(Wabash,IN)))の2枚の熱板の間で約5〜10秒間プレスした後、即座に13〜15℃、2〜4psi(0.014〜0.028MPas)の冷間ウォバシュ油圧プレスに移した。冷間プレスで室温に冷却した後、厚さ1.5mmの円形のポリマーフィルムを得た。次いでこのプレスフィルムの小片を、ポリエチレンテレフタレートおよびシリコーンで被覆された剥離ライナーでライニングした2枚のステンレス鋼板の間に載置して200℃で2〜3分間加圧プレスを行った後、ウォバシュ油圧プレスの2枚の熱板の間に適用した。このようにして作製したフィルムは、厚さ0.08〜0.15mmの薄くて滑らかなフィルムであった。このようにして調製した基材フィルムを積層に用いるため、寸法約2.5cm×5cmに裁断した。
スライドガラスおよびステンレス鋼板片(1インチ(2.54cm)×2インチ(5.08cm))をアセトンできれいにした。ガラスまたは鋼基材の表面に接着組成物をコーティングした後、このコーティングされた基材上に表面が十分に接触するようにフルオロポリマーフィルム片を積層した。基材表面とフルオロポリマーフィルムとの間に短辺に沿ってシリコーンライナーの細片を挿入し、剥離試験用のつまみができるようにした。積層した試料を実施例1に説明した254nm光反応器の中央部に縦に載置し、表1Aおよび1Bに示した時間照射した。剥離強度の測定値を表1Aおよび1Bに示す。
フルオロポリマーフィルムに替えて、VDFとHFPとのゴム状共重合体の未硬化物であるフルオロエラストマー、フローレルTMFC−2145、(ダイネオン・エルエルシーより入手可能)の25%メタノール溶液を、スライドガラスの接着組成物を有する面にコーティングした。次いでこのフルオロエラストマーをコーティングしたガラスに実施例1で説明した光反応器内で254nmの光を表1Aおよび1Bに示す時間照射した。フルオロエラストマーとガラスとの間に接着が見られた。
表2Aおよび2Bに記載した接着組成物(BC)および比較組成物(COMP)を使用し、裁断したフルオロポリマーフィルムに接着組成物または比較組成物をコーティングしたことを除いて実施例1の手順に従った。次いでこの接着組成物上に第2フルオロポリマーフィルムを載置することにより積層体前駆体を形成した。次いでこの前駆体を254nm光反応器(16個の低圧水銀電球を備えたライオネット反応槽、型式RPR−100)の中央部に縦に載置した。表3A〜4に示す時間、試料を照射した。照射後、2枚のフルオロポリマーフィルムを引き剥がして、最終マルチプレーヤー(multiplayer)物品を形成するべく、接着用基材に別々に貼り合わせた。剥離試験用にケイ素ライナー細片を層間の隙間に短辺に沿って約0.6cm差し込んだ。この物品を200℃で2分間熱プレスした後、即座に13〜15℃の冷間ウォバシュ油圧プレスに移した。冷間プレス内で室温に冷却された試料はすぐに剥離試験に供することができる状態にあった。
この比較例は、電子供与体が本発明による接着を促すのに有効でないことを示すものである。実施例1の手順に従い、電子供与体を10重量%メタノール溶液として用いて得られた接着に関する結果を表4に示す。
Claims (4)
- フルオロポリマーを基材に接着させる方法であって、
(i) アンモニウム化合物、ホスホニウム化合物、スルホニウム化合物、スルホキソニウム化合物、ヨードニウム化合物、アルソニウム化合物、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される光吸収化合物と、(ii) ホスフィン、チオール、チオエーテル、フェノール、チオフェノール、フェノラート、チオフェノラート、アルキルアミン、フルオロアルキルアミン、アミノアルケン、ビニルアニリン、アリルアミン、ジアリルアミン、アニリン、エチレンジアミン、およびアミノエタノールからなる群より選択される電子供与体とを含む接着組成物をフルオロポリマーと基材との間に提供する工程と、
前記接着組成物を化学線に曝す工程と、
を含む方法。 - 前記電子供与体が、アルキルアミン、アリルアミン、ジアリルアミン、アニリン、エチレンジアミン、およびアミノエタノールからなる群より選択される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- (i) アンモニウム化合物、ホスホニウム化合物、スルホニウム化合物、スルホキソニウム化合物、ヨードニウム化合物、アルソニウム化合物、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群より選択される光吸収化合物および(ii) ホスフィン、チオール、チオエーテル、フェノール、チオフェノール、フェノラート、チオフェノラート、アルキルアミン、フルオロアルキルアミン、アミノアルケン、ビニルアニリン、アリルアミン、ジアリルアミン、アニリン、エチレンジアミン、およびアミノエタノールからなる群より選択される電子供与体の組み合わせと化学線とに曝された表面を備え、ポリマー基材に接着させるのに好適な、処理されたフルオロポリマー基材。
- 前記電子供与体が、アルキルアミン、アリルアミン、ジアリルアミン、アニリン、エチレンジアミン、およびアミノエタノールからなる群より選択される、請求項3に記載のフルオロポリマー基材。
