Description
(A)ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂
ベース樹脂であるポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)系樹脂としては、ブチレンテレフタレートを主成分(例えば、50〜100重量%、好ましくは60〜100重量%、さらに好ましくは75〜100重量%程度)とするホモポリエステル又はコポリエステル(ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレートコポリエステル)などが挙げられる。
エラストマーとしては、種々の熱可塑性エラストマーが使用できる。エラストマーの屈折率は、例えば、温度25℃において1.52〜1.59、好ましくは1.53〜1.58程度であってもよい。エラストマーの屈折率が小さすぎたり大きすぎると、透過光の散乱が著しくなり、溶着エネルギーの低下をもたらす。
ポリカーボネート系樹脂は、ジヒドロキシ化合物と、ホスゲン又はジフェニルカーボネートなどの炭酸エステルとの反応により得ることができる。ジヒドロキシ化合物は、脂環族化合物などであってもよいが、好ましくは芳香族化合物(特にビスフェノール化合物)である。
可塑剤としては、例えば、種々の可塑剤、例えば、エステル系可塑剤(芳香族多価カルボン酸エステル、脂環族多価カルボン酸エステル、ポリエステル、ショ糖脂肪酸エステルなど)、リン酸エステル系可塑剤(リン酸トリブチル、リン酸トリ−2−エチルヘキシル、リン酸トリフェニル、リン酸トリクレジルなど)、アクリル系重合体などが例示できる。これらの可塑剤は単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。これらの可塑剤のうち、沸点の高い可塑剤(例えば、沸点250〜400℃、好ましくは270〜400℃、さらに好ましくは300〜400℃程度の可塑剤)が好ましい。
樹脂組成物は充填剤又は補強剤(E)を含んでいてもよい。このような充填剤又は補強剤(E)には、繊維状補強材[例えば、無機質繊維(例えば、ガラス繊維、シリカ繊維、アルミナ繊維、シリカ・アルミナ繊維、アルミニウムシリケート繊維、ジルコニア繊維、チタン酸カリウム繊維、ウィスカー(炭化ケイ素、アルミナ、窒化ホウ素などのウィスカー)など)、有機質繊維(例えば、脂肪族又は芳香族ポリアミド、芳香族ポリエステル、フッ素樹脂、ポリアクリロニトリルなどのアクリル樹脂、レーヨンなどで形成された繊維)など]、板状補強材[例えば、タルク、マイカ、ガラスフレークなど]、粉粒状補強材[例えば、ガラスビーズ、ガラス粉、ミルドファイバー(例えば、ミルドガラスファイバーなど)など]、ウォラストナイト(珪灰石)などが含まれる。ウォラストナイトは、板状、柱状、繊維状などの形態であってもよい。繊維状補強材の平均径は、例えば、1〜50μm(好ましくは3〜30μm)程度、平均長は、例えば、100μm〜3mm(好ましくは500μm〜1mm)程度であってもよい。また、板状又は粉粒状補強材の平均粒径は、例えば、0.1〜100μm、好ましくは0.1〜50μm程度であってもよい。これらの補強材は単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。
核剤(F)としては、無機核剤(例えば、シリカ、アルミナ、ジルコニア、酸化チタンなどの金属酸化物;炭酸カルシウム、炭酸バリウムなどの金属炭酸塩;タルクなどの板状無機物又は珪酸塩;炭化ケイ素などの金属炭化物;窒化ケイ素、窒化ホウ素、窒化タンタルなどの金属窒化物など)が一般的に使用されるが、有機核剤を使用してもよい。核剤(例えば、無機核剤)の平均粒子径は、例えば、0.01〜10μm、好ましくは0.01〜5μm(例えば、0.01〜2μm)、さらに好ましくは0.01〜1μm程度であってもよい。
成形体は、PBT系樹脂(A)と、エラストマー(B)と、ポリカーボネート系樹脂(C)と、可塑剤(D)と、必要により充填剤又は補強材(E)及び/又は核剤(F)などで構成された樹脂組成物を慣用の方法、例えば、(1)各成分を混合して、一軸又は二軸の押出機により混練し押出してペレットを調製した後、成形する方法、(2)一旦、組成の異なるペレット(マスターバッチ)を調製し、そのペレットを所定量混合(希釈)して成形に供し、所定の組成の成形品を得る方法、(3)成形機に各成分の1又は2以上を直接仕込む方法などで製造できる。なお、ペレットは、例えば、脆性成分(ガラス系補強材など)を除く成分を溶融混合した後に、脆性成分(ガラス系補強材)を混合することにより調製してもよい。
実施例及び比較例では、以下のPBT系樹脂(A)、エラストマー(B)、ポリカーボネート系樹脂(C)、可塑剤(D)、充填剤又は補強剤(E)、核剤(F)、および着色剤を用いた。
(A−1)ジメチルイソフタル酸(DMI)変性PBT樹脂
テレフタル酸と1,4−ブタンジオールとの反応において、テレフタル酸の一部(12.5mol%)に代えて、共重合成分としてのDMI 12.5mol%を用い、変性ポリブチレンテレフタレートを調製した。

表1に示す割合(重量比)で、各成分を2軸押出機(日本製鋼所製,30mmφ)により260℃で混錬し、ペレットを作製した。得られたペレットを射出成形機((株)東芝製)により、シリンダー温度260℃及び金型温度80℃の条件で射出成形し、試験片A(縦80mm×横80mm×厚さ2mm,サイドゲート,ゲート幅2mm)を成形した。
レーザ溶着により得られた試験片Aと試験体Bとのボックス状複合体について、水中にて内圧0.02MPaを30秒間加え、接合部での気泡の発生の有無により気密性を評価した。
試験片Aの各部位について、分光光度計[日本分光(株)製「V570」]を用いて波長940nmでの光透過率(%)を測定し、光透過率の最大値と最小値との差(変動幅、%)を算出した。
Claims (11)
- ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)と、エラストマー(B)と、ポリカーボネート系樹脂(C)と、温度25℃において屈折率が1.45〜1.60であり、かつ芳香族多価カルボン酸エステル、及びアクリル系重合体から選択された少なくとも一種の可塑剤(D)とを含むレーザー溶着用樹脂組成物。
- ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)が、ポリブチレンテレフタレート、又は30モル%以下の共重合性モノマーで変性されたポリブチレンテレフタレート系共重合体である請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- エラストマー(B)の屈折率が温度25℃において1.52〜1.59である請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)100重量部に対して、エラストマー(B)1〜50重量部と、ポリカーボネート系樹脂(C)5〜100重量部と、可塑剤(D)1〜10重量部とを含む請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- さらに、充填剤又は補強剤(E)を含む請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- 充填剤又は補強剤(E)が、ガラス質である請求項5記載の樹脂組成物。
- さらに、核剤(F)を含む請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- 射出成形により形成された縦80mm×横80mm×厚み2mmの成形品において、800〜1200nmの波長の光線を照射したとき、前記成形品の部位による光線透過率の変動幅が10%以下である請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
