Description
(A)ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂
ベース樹脂であるポリブチレンテレフタレート(PBT)系樹脂としては、ブチレンテレフタレートを主成分(例えば、50〜100重量%、好ましくは60〜100重量%、さらに好ましくは75〜100重量%程度)とするホモポリエステル又はコポリエステル(ポリブチレンテレフタレート、ポリブチレンテレフタレートコポリエステル)などが挙げられる。特にコポリエステルが好ましい。
PBT系樹脂との組み合わせにおいて、PBT系樹脂のレーザー溶着性を向上させる樹脂(B)としては、ポリカーボネート(PC)系樹脂(b1)、スチレン系樹脂(b2)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)系樹脂(b3)、及びアクリル系樹脂(b4)が挙げられる。これらの第2の樹脂(B)は、単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。なお、ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)と樹脂(B)との組合せにおいて、樹脂組成物はポリマーアロイを形成していてもよい。
ポリカーボネート系樹脂には、ジヒドロキシ化合物と、ホスゲン又はジフェニルカーボネートなどの炭酸エステルとの反応により得られる重合体が含まれる。ジヒドロキシ化合物は、脂環族化合物などであってもよいが、好ましくは芳香族化合物(特にビスフェノール化合物)である。ジヒドロキシ化合物は、単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。
スチレン系樹脂としては、例えば、スチレン系単量体(例えば、スチレン、ビニルトルエン、α−メチルスチレンなど)の単独又は共重合体;スチレン系単量体とビニル単量体(例えば、(メタ)アクリロニトリルなどの不飽和ニトリル、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル、(メタ)アクリル酸、無水マレイン酸などのα,β−モノオレフィン性不飽和カルボン酸又は酸無水物あるいはそのエステル、マレイミド、N−アルキルマレイミド、N−フェニルマレイミドなどのマレイミド系単量体など)との共重合体;スチレン系グラフト共重合体、スチレン系ブロック共重合体などが挙げられる。ポリスチレン系グラフト共重合体としては、例えば、ポリブタジエン、アクリルゴム、塩素化ポリエチレン、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体、エチレン−プロピレンゴム、エチレン−プロピレン−ジエンゴム、スチレン−ブタジエン共重合体ゴムなどのゴム成分に、スチレンと、アクリロニトリル及び/又はメタクリル酸メチルをグラフト重合した樹脂(例えば、ABS樹脂、MBS樹脂など)などが例示でき、ブロック共重合体として、例えば、スチレン−ブタジエン−スチレン(SBS)ブロック共重合体、スチレン−イソプレンブロック共重合体、スチレン−イソプレン−スチレン(SIS)ブロック共重合体、水素添加スチレン−ブタジエン−スチレン(SEBS)ブロック共重合体、水素添加スチレン−イソプレン−スチレン(SEPS)ブロック共重合体などが例示できる。これらのスチレン系樹脂は、単独で又は2種以上組み合わせて使用できる。
ポリエチレンテレフタレート系樹脂としては、エチレンテレフタレートを主成分(例えば、50〜100重量%、好ましくは60〜100重量%、さらに好ましくは75〜100重量%程度)とするホモポリエステル又はコポリエステル(ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリエチレンテレフタレートコポリエステル)などが挙げられる。
アクリル系樹脂には、例えば、(メタ)アクリル系単量体((メタ)アクリル酸又はそのエステルなど)の単独又は共重合体、(メタ)アクリル系単量体と他の共重合性単量体との共重合体などが含まれる。
成形体は、PBT系樹脂(A)と、樹脂(B)と、好ましくは補強材(C)とで構成された樹脂組成物を慣用の方法、例えば、(1)各成分を混合して、一軸又は二軸の押出機により混練し押出してペレットを調製した後、成形する方法、(2)一旦、組成の異なるペレット(マスターバッチ)を調製し、そのペレットを所定量混合(希釈)して成形に供し、所定の組成の成形品を得る方法、(3)成形機に各成分の1又は2以上を直接仕込む方法などで製造できる。なお、ペレットは、例えば、脆性成分(ガラス系補強材など)を除く成分を溶融混合した後に、脆性成分を混合することにより調製してもよい。
(A-1)ポリブチレンテレフタレート(ウィンテックポリマー(株)製,DX2000)
(A-2)ジメチルイソフタル酸(DMI)変性PBT樹脂
テレフタル酸と1,4−ブタンジオールとの反応において、テレフタル酸の一部(12.5mol%)を、共重合成分としてのDMI 12.5mol%に代え、変性ポリブチレンテレフタレートを調製した。
テレフタル酸と1,4−ブタンジオールとの反応において、1,4−ブタンジオールの一部10.0mol%に代えて、共重合成分としてEBPA 10.0mol%を用いて変性ポリブチレンテレフタレートを調製した。
(B-1)ポリカーボネート(PC)樹脂(帝人化成(株)製,パンライトL−1225)
(B-2)アクロリニトリル−スチレン(AS)樹脂(ダイセル化学工業(株)製,セビアンN AP−20)
(B-3)ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)樹脂(帝人(株)製,TR8580HP)
ガラス繊維(C)
平均繊維径11μm、平均繊維長3mmのガラス繊維を用いた。
表1〜4に示す割合で、PBT系樹脂(A)と樹脂(B)とガラス繊維(C)とを用いて、2軸押出機(日本製鋼所製,30mmφ)により250℃にて混錬を行い、ペレットを作製した。得られたペレットを用いて射出成形機((株)東芝製)により、シリンダー温度250℃及び表に示す金型温度の条件で試験片A(縦7cm×横1cm×厚さ3mm)を成形した。
引張試験機(東洋ボールドウィン製,UTM−2.5T)を用いてレーザー溶着した試験片Aと試験片Bとを5mm/分で引張せん断し、溶着強度を測定した。
分光光度計(日本分光(株)製,V570)を用いて、波長940nmでの試験片Aの光線透過率を測定した。

Claims (9)
- ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)と、スチレン系樹脂(B)と、ガラス繊維とを含み、レーザー光を透過して、相手材の樹脂成形品とレーザー溶着するためのレーザー溶着用ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂組成物(但し、ポリブチレンテレフタレートホモポリエステルを含まない)であって、
前記ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)が、イソフタル酸及びその反応性誘導体から選択された少なくとも一種の共重合性モノマー0.01〜30モル%で変性されたポリブチレンテレフタレート系共重合体であり、
スチレン系樹脂(B)が、スチレン−アクリロニトリル共重合体であり、
スチレン系樹脂(B)とポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)との割合が、前者/後者(重量比)=0.56/1〜1.2/1であるポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂組成物。 - スチレン系樹脂(B)とポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)との割合が、前者/後者(重量比)=0.75/1〜1.1/1である請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- ガラス繊維の含有量が10〜50重量%である請求項1又は2記載の樹脂組成物。
- 射出成形により形成された厚さ3mmの成形品において、800〜1100nmの波長の光線透過率が15%以上である請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物。
- レーザー光に対する吸収剤又は着色剤を含む第2の熱可塑性樹脂成形品に対してレーザー溶着により接合する第1の成形品を形成するための樹脂組成物である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物。
- レーザー光を透過し、相手材の樹脂成形品とレーザー溶着するための成形品であって、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物で形成された成形品。
- レーザー光透過部位を有し、この透過部位を相手材の樹脂成形品と接触させて、レーザー溶着により相手材の樹脂成形品と接合するためのレーザー光透過側部材である請求項6記載の成形品。
- 請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物で形成された成形品と、相手材の樹脂成形品とがレーザー溶着により接合されている複合成形品。
- 第1の成形品から、第2の成形品の方向に向けてレーザー光を照射して、前記第1の成形品と第2の成形品とを溶着により接合して複合成形品を製造する方法であって、前記第1の成形品を請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の樹脂組成物で形成し、第2の成形品をレーザー光に対する吸収剤又は着色剤を含む熱可塑性樹脂で形成し、前記第1の成形品と第2の成形品とを接合する複合成形品の製造方法。
