Description
(A)ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂
ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)とは、テレフタル酸成分(テレフタル酸又はそのエステル形成性誘導体)、及び炭素数4のアルキレングリコール(1,4−ブタンジオール)又はそのエステル形成性誘導体を少なくとも重合成分とする熱可塑性樹脂である。
本発明の特色は、前記PBT系樹脂組成物において、脂肪酸系化合物を(特定の割合で)配合する点にある。このような脂肪酸系化合物の添加により、PBT系樹脂組成物のレーザー透過性を効率よく向上できる。
本発明のPBT系樹脂組成物は、さらに環状ポリエステルオリゴマー含んでいてもよい。環状ポリエステルオリゴマーと前記脂肪酸系化合物とを組み合わせることにより、より一層前記樹脂組成物のレーザー透過性(およびレーザー溶着性)を向上できる。また、このような環状ポリエステルオリゴマーは、前記樹脂組成物に添加しても、PBT系樹脂そのものが有する機械的強度などの特性を低下させることがないため、レーザー透過性の向上と機械的強度などの特性の保持とを両立させて実現できる。さらに、環状ポリエステルオリゴマーの添加により、PBT系樹脂の溶融流動性を向上させることができるため、PBT系樹脂組成物の成形性をも高めることができる。このため、環状ポリエステルオリゴマーと脂肪酸系化合物との組み合わせにより、レーザー透過性の向上、PBT系樹脂の特性の保持、および流動性の向上をバランスよく両立させることができる。
上記式において、アルキレン基Rとしては、例えば、エチレン基、プロピレン基、トリメチレン基、テトラメチレン基、ヘキサメチレン基などのC2−12アルキレン基(特に直鎖状C2−12アルキレン基)、好ましくはC2−8アルキレン基、さらに好ましくはC2−4アルキレン基などが挙げられる。また、上記式において、二価の脂環式基Rとしては、シクロアルキレン基R(例えば、1,4−シクロヘキシレン基などのC5−10シクロアルキレン基)、シクロアルカンジアルキレン基(例えば、1,4−シクロヘキサンジメチレン基などのC5−10シクロアルカン−ジC1−4アルキレン基など)などが挙げられる。また、nは、1以上であればよく、例えば、1〜10、好ましくは1〜5、さらに好ましくは1〜3、特に1であってもよい。なお、nが2以上であるとき、複数のRは同一又は異なるアルキレン基又はシクロアルキレン基で構成してもよい。
本発明のレーザー透過性樹脂成形品は、前記樹脂組成物で形成されている。このような成形品(レーザー透過性樹脂成形品)は、各成分[すなわち、PBT系樹脂(A)と脂肪酸系化合物(B)と(必要に応じて環状ポリエステルオリゴマー(C)とさらに必要により他の成分と)]で構成された前記樹脂組成物を慣用の方法で成形することにより製造できる。例えば、本発明の成形品(又は成形体)は、(1)各成分を混合して、押出機(一軸又は二軸押出機)により混練し押出してペレットを調製した後、成形する方法、(2)一旦、組成の異なるペレット(マスターバッチ)を調製し、そのペレットを所定量混合(希釈)して成形に供し、所定の組成の成形品を得る方法、(3)成形機に各成分の1又は2以上を直接仕込む方法などで製造できる。また、樹脂成分の一部を細かい粉体としてこれ以外の成分と混合し添加することは、これらの成分の均一配合を行う上で好ましい方法である。また、前記添加剤などは、任意の時期に添加し、所望の組成物を得ることも可能である。
実施例及び比較例では、以下の成分を用いた。
(A−1)ポリブチレンテレフタレート(固有粘度=0.86dL/g、ウィンテックポリマー(株)製)
脂肪酸系化合物(B);
(B−1)モンタン酸ワックス(東洋ペトロライト社製、「LUZAWAX−EP」)
(B−2)カルシウムステアレイト(日本油脂社製、「カルシウムステアレイトS」)
(B−3)ペンタエリスリトールステアリン酸エステル(日本油脂社製、「ユニスターH476」)
(B−4)ソルビタン脂肪酸エステル(理研ビタミン社製、リケマールB−150)
(b)非脂肪酸系化合物;
低分子量ポリエチレン(三洋化成工業社製、「サンワックス165P」)
(C)環状ポリエステルオリゴマー;
環状ポリブチレンテレフタレートオリゴマー(サイクリクスコーポレイション社製、「CBT」(Cyclic butyleneterephthalate)、融点140〜190℃)。
上記2mm厚みのダンベル型試験片の標線部(試験片1又は幅狭部3の中央部分)を使用して、積分球を使用した分光光度計(日本分光(株)製、「V570」)により、波長940nmでの試験片の透過率を測定した。
レーザー透過側試験片として、上記厚み2mmのダンベル型試験片(試験片1)の幅狭部3の中央部から厚み方向に向けて切断した試験片A(試験片の半分に相当)を作成した。また、PBT樹脂(ウィンテックポリマー(株)製、ジュラネックス2002(黒))を用いて、前記試験片Aに対する被溶着試験片B(レーザー吸収側試験片)として試験片Aと同様の形状を有する試験片Bを作成した。

Claims (8)
- ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)と脂肪酸系化合物(B)と環状ポリエステルオリゴマー(C)とで構成され、脂肪酸系化合物(B)の割合が、ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)100重量部に対して、0.01〜1.0重量部であり、環状ポリエステルオリゴマー(C)の割合が、ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂(A)100重量部に対して3〜10重量部であるレーザー溶着用ポリブチレンテレフタレート系樹脂組成物。
- 脂肪酸系化合物(B)が、脂肪酸エステルおよび脂肪酸金属塩から選択された少なくとも1種である請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- 脂肪酸系化合物(B)が、C12−36脂肪酸エステルおよびC12−36脂肪酸金属塩から選択された少なくとも1種である請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
- 環状ポリエステルオリゴマー(C)が、環状ポリアルキレンテレフタレートオリゴマーである請求項1記載の樹脂組成物。
