Description
ここで、特定温度領域とは、重質燃料及び軽質燃料とアルコール燃料との蒸発率の相違により、燃料中にアルコールが含有されているか否かに関わらず実際の空燃比を目標空燃比にするのに必要な燃料噴射量がほとんど変わらない温度領域を意味する。
第1の発明によれば、特定温度領域における空燃比の差分に基づいて異常診断が行われるため、アルコールが含有されているか否かに関わらず重軽質比率検出センサの異常を正確に検出することができる。

Claims (5)
- 重質燃料、軽質燃料、アルコール燃料及びこれらの混合物を燃料として使用可能な内燃機関において、重質燃料と軽質燃料との比率を検出可能な重軽質比率検出手段と、排気ガスの空燃比を検出する空燃比検出手段とを具備し、重軽質比率検出手段に基づいて空燃比が目標空燃比となるように燃料噴射量を算出する内燃機関の制御装置において、
機関温度が特定温度領域内にある場合における目標空燃比と空燃比検出手段によって検出された空燃比との差分に基づいて重軽質比率検出手段の異常を診断する、内燃機関の制御装置。 - 燃料中のアルコール含有比率を検出可能なアルコール比率検出手段を更に具備し、当該制御装置は重軽質比率検出手段に加えてアルコール比率検出手段に基づいて空燃比が目標空燃比となるように燃料噴射量を算出し、機関温度が特定温度領域外にある場合における目標空燃比と空燃比検出手段によって検出された空燃比との差分に基づいてアルコール比率検出手段の異常を診断する、請求項1に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 機関温度が特定温度領域内にある場合における空燃比検出手段によって検出された空燃比が目標空燃比よりもリーンであるときには実際の重質燃料と軽質燃料との比率については重軽質比率検出手段によって検出された重質燃料と軽質燃料との比率よりも重質燃料の比率が高いと判定し、機関温度が特定温度領域内にある場合における空燃比検出手段によって検出された空燃比が目標空燃比よりもリッチであるときには実際の重質燃料と軽質燃料との比率については重軽質比率検出手段によって検出された重質燃料と軽質燃料との比率よりも軽質燃料の比率が高いと判定する、請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 上記機関温度が特定温度領域内にある場合における目標空燃比と空燃比検出手段によって検出された空燃比との差分と、上記機関温度が特定温度領域外にある場合における目標空燃比と空燃比検出手段によって検出された空燃比との差分とに基づいて、上記算出された燃料噴射量を補正する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
- 燃料補給の有無を判定する燃料補給判定手段をさらに具備し、燃料補給判定手段によって燃料補給があったと判定された場合にのみ上記重軽質比率検出手段の異常の判定を行う、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の制御装置。
