Claims (1)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、酸素貯蔵能を有する助触媒を含み、酸化雰囲気の排ガス中のNOxを捕捉するとともに、還元剤を含む還元雰囲気の排ガスが供給されることにより、当該捕捉したNOxを還元することによって浄化するNOx浄化触媒と、
当該NOx浄化触媒における前記助触媒の酸素貯蔵能を表す酸素貯蔵能パラメータとして、当該NOx浄化触媒の温度を表す温度パラメータを検出する温度パラメータ検出手段と、
前記NOx浄化触媒よりも下流側の排気通路における排ガス中の空燃比を表す空燃比パラメータを検出する空燃比パラメータ検出手段と、
前記NOx浄化触媒に捕捉されているNOx量をNOx捕捉量として算出するNOx捕捉量算出手段と、
当該算出されたNOx捕捉量が所定値以上になったときに、前記NOx浄化触媒にNOxの還元動作を行わせるために、前記還元剤を前記NOx浄化触媒の上流側に供給することにより、前記NOx浄化触媒に流入する排ガスを還元雰囲気に制御する還元制御を実行する還元制御手段と、
を備え、
当該還元制御手段は、
前記還元制御の実行中、前記還元剤の供給量を表す供給量パラメータに応じて、前記NOx浄化触媒によって捕捉されているNOxの残量をNOx残量として算出するNOx残量算出手段と、
前記還元制御の実行中、前記検出された空燃比パラメータが表す排ガス中の空燃比が所定値よりもリッチ側に移行したときに、前記還元制御を終了すべきであると決定する第1決定手段と、
前記還元制御の実行中、前記検出された温度パラメータが表す前記NOx浄化触媒の温度が所定温度域にないときに、前記第1決定手段による前記還元制御の終了決定を禁止する禁止手段と、
前記還元制御の実行中、前記禁止手段によって前記第1決定手段による前記還元制御の終了決定が禁止されている場合において、前記NOx残量が所定値以下のときに、前記還元制御を終了すべきであると決定する第2決定手段と、
を有することを特徴とする内燃機関の排ガス浄化装置。
