- デバイスのアノードとカソードとの間に配置された少なくとも1つの発光性有機材料層を備え、
前記カソードは、不透明金属層である導電性材料の第一層と、少なくとも1つの有機材料層と前記導電性材料の第一層との間に配置された低い仕事関数を有する導電性材料の第二層とからなり、
前記導電性材料の第二層は、前記導電性材料の第一層よりも実質的に薄い最高で5nmの厚さを有し、かつBa、Baの合金もしくはBaの金属間化合物からなることを特徴とする有機発光デバイス。 - 請求項1記載の有機発光デバイスにおいて、前記導電性材料の第二層が0.5〜2nmの範囲の厚さを有することを特徴とする有機発光デバイス。
- 請求項1または2記載の有機発光デバイスにおいて、前記導電性材料の第一層と前記導電性材料の第二層との厚さの比が少なくとも20:1であることを特徴とする有機発光デバイス。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の有機発光デバイスにおいて、前記導電性材料の第一層がAlまたはAl合金からなることを特徴とする有機発光デバイス。
