Claims (1)
- 液タンクからマトリクス配列した複数のノズルと連通する複数の圧力室に液を供給し、圧電素子によって前記圧力室を収縮させて前記ノズルから前記液を吐出する記録ヘッドを備えた液滴噴射装置において、
前記記録ヘッドは、上面から見た平面形状が矩形の1つの角部に当該矩形の外側へ突出した突出部を有する形状の複数の圧力室が前記複数のノズルに対応してマトリクス配置されるとともに、前記マトリクス配列の一方の方向について隣接する圧力室の前記突出部同士が対向し、かつ、対向する突出部同士が前記マトリクス配列の他の方向に並ぶように前記複数の圧力室が形成され、前記複数の圧力室の上面を構成する振動板が前記複数の圧力室と一体の構造体として形成される圧力室プレートと、
前記複数の圧力室の下面を構成し、各圧力室の平面形状における前記突出部と対向する角部に前記ノズルが位置するように位置合わせがされて前記圧力室プレートに接合されるノズルプレートと、
を具備し、
前記振動板は、各圧力室の突出部の位置に対応して該振動板を貫通するように複数の液供給口が形成されるとともに、前記振動板には各圧力室のそれぞれに対応する位置に前記圧電素子が固定され、
前記液タンクは、前記複数の圧力室に液を供給する共通液室が形成されるとともに、前記液供給口の直径よりも大きい幅を有する供給溝が該共通液室の下面から真下に向かってまっすぐに形成され、
前記供給溝は、前記対向する液供給口同士が並ぶ前記他の方向に沿って形成されるとともに、当該他の方向に沿って配列した前記液供給口に一括して液を供給する構造を有し、
前記供給溝と前記他の方向に沿う前記液供給口の列との位置合わせがされ、前記圧力室プレートの上面に前記液タンクが重ね合わせられることを特徴とする液滴噴射装置。
