Claims (4)
- 絶縁基板上に形成された薄膜トランジスタと、
前記薄膜トランジスタを含んだ絶縁基板上に形成され、前記薄膜トランジスタの一部分を露出させる第1コンタクトホールを有する第1絶縁膜と、
前記第1コンタクトホールを介して前記薄膜トランジスタに連結される第1電極と、
前記第1電極の一部分を露出させる第1開口部を有する第2絶縁膜と、
前記第1開口部内の前記第1電極上に形成された第1発光層と、
基板の全面に形成され、分離パターンを有する第2電極と、
第2絶縁膜上に形成され、前記第1開口部に対応する部分の第2電極を露出させる第2開口部と、前記分離パターンに対応する部分の第1電極を露出させる第2コンタクトホールとを有する第3絶縁膜と、
前記第2電極の露出された部分に形成された第2発光層と、
前記第2コンタクトホールを介して第1電極に連結されるように前記第3絶縁膜上に形成された第3電極とを備え、
前記第1及び第3絶縁膜は、平坦化膜であり、前記第2絶縁膜は、画素分離膜である
ことを特徴とするアクティブマトリクス有機電界発光表示装置。 - 前記第2電極は、前記第1及び第2発光層に対して共通電極として作用するカソード電極であり、前記第1及び第3電極は、同じレベルの電圧が共通的に印加されるアノード電極として作用することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアクティブマトリクス有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記分離パターンは、溝形態またはストライプ形態の陰刻パターンよりなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアクティブマトリクス有機電界発光表示装置。
- 前記第2電極が不透明電極よりなり、前記第1及び第3電極が透明電極よりなる場合、前記第1及び第2発光層から発光された光が各々互いに反対方向に放出され、前記第1及び第2電極が透明電極よりなり、前記第3電極が不透明電極よりなる場合、前記第1及び第2発光層から発光された光が共に基板方向に放出され、前記第2電極及び前記第3電極が透明電極よりなり、第1電極が不透明電極よりなる場合、前記第1及び第2発光層から発光された光が共に基板反対方向に放出されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアクティブマトリクス有機電界発光表示装置。
