Description
Claims (9)
- 基板と、基板の表面に直交する垂直方向に磁化容易軸を有する記録磁性層と、表面で記録磁性層を受け止め、前記垂直方向に沿って磁化容易軸を有し、記録磁性層の保磁力よりも小さい保磁力を有する補助磁性層とを備え、補助磁性層の膜厚と残留磁束密度との積は記録磁性層の膜厚と残留磁束密度との積の5分の1以下に設定されることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項1に記載の垂直磁気記録媒体において、前記補助磁性層は、少なくともCoを含む磁性膜と、少なくともPt、Pd、AuおよびAgのいずれかを含む非磁性膜との積層体で構成されることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項1に記載の垂直磁気記録媒体において、表面で前記補助磁性層を受け止め、基板の面内方向に磁化容易軸を有する軟磁性の裏打ち層をさらに備えることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項3に記載の垂直磁気記録媒体において、前記補助磁性層は、少なくともCoを含む磁性膜と、少なくともPt、Pd、AuおよびAgのいずれかを含む非磁性膜との積層体で構成されることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項1に記載の垂直磁気記録媒体において、前記補助磁性層の膜厚は5nm以下の値に設定されることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項1に記載の垂直磁気記録媒体において、表面で前記補助磁性層を受け止める非磁性層と、表面で非磁性層を受け止め、基板の面内方向に磁化容易軸を有する軟磁性の裏打ち層とをさらに備えることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項6に記載の垂直磁気記録媒体において、前記補助磁性層は、少なくともCoを含む磁性膜と、少なくともPt、Pd、AuおよびAgのいずれかを含む非磁性膜との積層体で構成されることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項6に記載の垂直磁気記録媒体において、前記補助磁性層の膜厚は5nm以下の値に設定されることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
- 請求項6に記載の垂直磁気記録媒体において、前記非磁性層の膜厚は5nm以下の値に設定されることを特徴とする垂直磁気記録媒体。
