Abstract
Description
<実施例1>
偏光板(LG化学、高耐久偏光板)の両面に粘着剤(LG化学、高耐久粘着剤)を塗布した後、ロールツーロール工程を用いて、上記偏光板の一面には第1セパレートフィルム(ポリエチレンテレフタレート、PET)を積層し、他の一面には第2セパレートフィルム(ポリエチレンテレフタレート、PET)を積層した。また、上記第1セパレートフィルムとしては、三菱社製の厚さが38μmの単層フィルムを用い、上記第2セパレートフィルムとしては、LG化学社製の厚さが93μmの単層フィルムを用いた。
上記第2セパレートフィルムとして、厚さが38μmの単層フィルム(三菱)と厚さが 93μmの単層フィルム(LG化学)とを積層して、総厚さが131μmの2層のフィルムを用いたこと以外には、実施例1と同様に行った。
上記第2セパレートフィルムとして、厚さが50μmの単層フィルム(三菱)と厚さが 93μmの単層フィルム(LG化学)とを積層して、総厚さが143μmの2層のフィルムを用いたこと以外には、実施例1と同様に行った。
上記第2セパレートフィルムとして、厚さが38μmの単層フィルム(三菱)を用いたこと以外には、実施例1と同様に行った。
上記第2セパレートフィルムとして、厚さが50μmの単層フィルム(三菱)を用いたこと以外には、実施例1と同様に行った。
上記第2セパレートフィルムとして、厚さが75μmの単層フィルム(東レ)を用いたこと以外には、実施例1と同様に行った。
上記第2セパレートフィルムとして、厚さが75μmの単層フィルム(東レ)と厚さが93μmの単層フィルム(LG化学)とを積層して、総厚さが168μmの2層のフィルムを用いたこと以外には、実施例1と同様に行った。
実施例及び比較例に係る偏光板とポリカーボネートフィルムとの貼り合わせ工程の後に、上記偏光板とポリカーボネートフィルム間の接合面の不良発生の有無を評価して、下記表1に示す。また、上記実施例1及び比較例1によって光学フィルムと偏光板とを貼り合わせた結果を、下記図3に示す。下記表1の評価結果は、上記偏光板とポリカーボネートフィルム間の接合面を外観で確認したとき、気泡などの不良の発生有無で評価した。

- 偏光板;
前記偏光板のある一面に備えられた第1粘着剤層及び第1セパレートフィルム;並びに
前記偏光板の他の一面に備えられた第2粘着剤層及び第2セパレートフィルムを含み、
前記第2セパレートフィルムの総厚さは、75μm超過150μm以下である、偏光板積層体。 - 前記第2セパレートフィルムは、単層構造又は多層構造である、請求項1に記載の偏光板積層体。
- 前記第1セパレートフィルムの厚さは、10μm~75μmである、請求項1又は2に記載の偏光板積層体。
- 前記第1セパレートフィルム及び第2セパレートフィルムは、それぞれポリエチレン系樹脂、ポリプロピレン系樹脂、ポリエステル系樹脂及びポリカーボネート系樹脂のうち1種以上を含む、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の偏光板積層体。
- 前記第2セパレートフィルムが備えられる領域は、液晶表示装置の液晶パネル又は光学フィルムが位置する領域である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の偏光板積層体。
- 偏光板のある一面に第1粘着剤層を塗布し、他の一面に第2粘着剤層を塗布するステップ;及び
前記第1粘着剤層上に第1セパレートフィルムを積層させ、前記第2粘着剤層上に第2セパレートフィルムを積層させるステップを含み、
前記第2セパレートフィルムの総厚さは、75μm超過150μm以下である、偏光板積層体の製造方法。 - 前記第2セパレートフィルムは、単層構造又は多層構造である、請求項6に記載の偏光板積層体の製造方法。
- 前記第1セパレートフィルムの厚さは、10μm~75μmである、請求項6又は7に記載の偏光板積層体の製造方法。
- 前記第1セパレートフィルム及び第2セパレートフィルムは、それぞれポリエチレン系樹脂、ポリプロピレン系樹脂、ポリエステル系樹脂及びポリカーボネート系樹脂のうち1種以上を含む、請求項6~8のいずれか一項に記載の偏光板積層体の製造方法。
- 前記第1セパレートフィルム及び第2セパレートフィルムを積層させるステップは、ロールツーロール(roll to roll)工程で行われる、請求項6~9のいずれか一項に記載の偏光板積層体の製造方法。
- 前記第1セパレートフィルムを除去するステップ;及び液晶表示装置の液晶パネル又は光学フィルムの一面に前記偏光板積層体の第1セパレートフィルムが除去された面が接合するように、前記液晶パネル又は光学フィルムと偏光板とを貼り合わせるステップをさらに含む、請求項6~10のいずれか一項に記載の偏光板積層体の製造方法。
- 前記光学フィルムは、アンチグレア(antiglare)フィルム、ハードコート(hard coating)フィルム、反射防止フィルム及びAGLR(Anti-Glare & Low-Reflection)フィルムのうち1種以上を含む、請求項11に記載の偏光板積層体の製造方法。
- 前記光学フィルムは、ポリカーボネートフィルムである、請求項11又は12に記載の偏光板積層体の製造方法。
