Abstract
Description
本出願は2019年4月4日付韓国特許出願第10−2019−0039670号に基づいた優先権の利益を主張し、当該韓国特許出願の文献に開示されたすべての内容は本明細書の一部として含まれる。
集電体;前記集電体上に形成された第1活物質層;および前記第1活物質層上に形成された第2活物質層を含むリチウム二次電池用電極であって、
前記第1活物質層および第2活物質層は、活物質としてD50粒径が7μm〜15μmである活物質A、およびD50粒径が2μm以上〜7μm未満である活物質Bを含み、
前記第1および第2活物質層にそれぞれ含まれている活物質A:活物質Bの重量比は互いに異なり、第2活物質層の活物質A比率が第1活物質層より高く、
前記第2活物質層の活物質A:活物質Bの重量比は70:30超過である、リチウム二次電池用電極を提供する。

前記第2活物質層の活物質A:活物質Bの重量比は70:30超過である、リチウム二次電池用電極が提供される。
下記実施例および比較例で活物質のD50はレーザ回折法(laser diffraction method)を用いて測定した。
(1)正極の製造
正極活物質AとしてD50粒径が8.9μmであるLi(Ni0.6Mn0.2Co0.2)O2を、正極活物質BとしてD50粒径が3.7μmであるLi(Ni0.6Mn0.2Co0.2)O2を使用し、導電材としてはカーボンブラック、バインダーとしてはポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)を使用して次の方法で正極を製造した。
負極活物質としては人造黒鉛を使用し、導電材としてはカーボンブラックを使用し、増粘材としてはカルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)を使用し、バインダーとしてはスチレン‐ブタジエンゴム(SBR)を使用し、これらを96:1:1:2の重量比で混合して負極スラリーを製造した。
(1)正極の製造
正極活物質AとしてD50粒径が10.4μmであるLi(Ni0.6Mn0.2Co0.2)O2を、正極活物質BとしてD50粒径が5.8μmであるLi(Ni0.6Mn0.2Co0.2)O2を使用し、導電材としてはカーボンブラック、バインダーとしてはポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVdF)を使用して次の方法で正極を製造した。
正極として上記(1)で製造した正極を使用したことを除いては実施例1の(2)と同様な負極、セパレータ、電解質を使用して、同様な方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
(1)正極の製造
実施例1の第1活物質層用スラリーを12μm厚さのアルミホイル表面に28mg/cm2のローディング量で塗布し、120℃で10分乾燥した後、ロールプレスを実施して、単一活物質層を有する正極を製造した。
正極として上記(1)で製造した正極を使用したことを除いては実施例1の(2)と同様な負極、セパレータ、電解質を使用して、同様な方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
(1)正極の製造
第2活物質層用スラリーに含まれる活物質として、正極活物質A:正極活物質B=5:5(重量比)混合物を使用したことを除いては実施例1の(1)と同様な方法で、比較例2の正極を製造した。
正極として上記(1)で製造した正極を使用したことを除いては実施例1の(2)と同様な負極、セパレータ、電解質を使用して、同様な方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
(1)正極の製造
第1活物質層用スラリーに含まれる活物質として、正極活物質A:正極活物質B=5:5(重量比)混合物を使用し、第2活物質層用スラリーに含まれる活物質として、正極活物質A:正極活物質B=7:3(重量比)混合物を使用したことを除いては実施例1の(1)と同様な方法で、比較例3の正極を製造した。
正極として上記(1)で製造した正極を使用したことを除いては実施例1の(2)と同様な負極、セパレータ、電解質を使用して、同様な方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
前記各実施例および比較例で製造されたリチウム二次電池に対して、定電流/定電位制御の可能な充放電器を用いて25℃で電池抵抗特性を評価した。
充電:0.1C、CC(定電流)/CV(定電圧)、4.3V、0.005Cカットオフ

- 集電体、前記集電体上に形成された第1活物質層、および前記第1活物質層上に形成された第2活物質層を含むリチウム二次電池用電極であって、
前記第1活物質層および前記第2活物質層は、活物質としてD50粒径が7μm〜15μmである活物質A、およびD50粒径が2μm以上〜7μm未満である活物質Bを含み、
前記第1活物質層および前記第2活物質層にそれぞれ含まれている活物質A:活物質Bの重量比は互いに異なり、前記第2活物質層の活物質Aの比率が前記第1活物質層より高く、
前記第2活物質層の活物質A:活物質Bの重量比は70:30超過である、リチウム二次電池用電極。 - 前記第1活物質層の活物質A:活物質Bの重量比は50:50超過〜70:30以下であり、
前記第2活物質層の活物質A:活物質Bの重量比は70:30超過〜95:5以下である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用電極。 - 前記第1活物質層の活物質A:活物質Bの重量比は60:40〜70:30であり、
