IN1の検出電圧=P1・Vref、
IN2の検出電圧=P2・Vref、
P1,P2は分圧比、とすると、
Rth1=(P1/(1-P1))・RL1、Rth2=(P2/(1-P2))・RL2
であり、これらの式により分圧比P1,P2から抵抗値Rth1,Rth2を求める。
図5の(a)のように嵌合状態が正常であれば接続異常は検出されない。
第1サーミスタ27、第2サーミスタ28の各抵抗値Rth1、Rth2から温度T1、T2を求めるには逐次上記対数関数の計算を行っても良いが、事前にRth1、Rth2とT1、T2の関係をテーブルにしてメモリ36に保存しておき検出されたRth1、Rth2に応じてこのテーブルを参照しても良い。Rth1、Rth2とT1、T2の関係のテーブルとする代わりに分圧比P1、P2と温度T1、T2関係を直接テーブルとすることもできる。
循環ポンプ16はAct6で印字待機状態となって以降、常時作動させる。すなわちインクは常時循環させておく。Act9で温度T2が許容範囲を逸脱した場合であってもAct10を含むループで待機する間、インクが循環することによって温度T2が許容範囲に戻ってくることを期待できる。
本実施形態にかかる液体吐出ヘッド及び液体吐出装置によれば、以下の効果が得られる。すなわち、温度センサとして2つのサーミスタ27、28を2つ設け、ハウジング内の温度と、アクチュエータ23aまたはアクチュエータ23aの下流側の流路の温度を検出することとした。このため、循環型の液体吐出ヘッドにおいて液体を加熱または冷却することで液体の温度変化がある場合にも、駆動ICの正確な温度を検出できる。したがって、駆動ICの過熱を防ぐことができるとともに、液体温度を適性に保つことが可能となる。
前記制御部は、前記第1の温度センサにより検出した検出値が所定の許容範囲外である場合には印字動作を休止し、前記第1の温度センサにより検出した検出値が所定の許容範囲内である場合には前記第2の温度センサにより検出した検出値に従って前記駆動回路に与える駆動電圧を制御して印字を可能とする。
以下に、本願出願の当初の特許請求の範囲に記載された発明を付記する。
(1)
液体を吐出する液体吐出部と、
前記液体吐出部を駆動する駆動回路または前記駆動回路が設けられる回路基板の温度を検出する第1の温度センサと、
前記液体吐出部の温度または前記液体吐出部に連通する所定の流路における前記液体の温度を検出する第2の温度センサと、を備える液体吐出ヘッド。

(1)に記載の液体吐出ヘッドと、
前記液体吐出ヘッドの動作を制御する制御部と、
複数の信号線を備え、前記液体吐出ヘッドと前記制御部とを接続する配線接続体と、を備え、
前記制御部は、前記第1の温度センサにより検出した検出値が所定の許容範囲外である場合には印字動作を休止し、前記第1の温度センサにより検出した検出値が所定の許容範囲内である場合には前記第2の温度センサにより検出した検出値に従って前記駆動回路に与える駆動電圧を制御して印字を可能とする
液体吐出装置。
(3)
前記制御部は、前記複数の前記温度センサの少なくとも一方により検出した検出値が、所定の正常範囲外である場合に報知処理を行う、(2)記載の液体吐出装置。
(4)
前記液体は、前記液体吐出ヘッドと、前記液体吐出ヘッドの外部との間で循環される、(2)または(3)に記載の液体吐出装置。
(5)
前記液体吐出ヘッドを通る循環路を備え、
前記循環路中であって前記液体吐出ヘッドの外部において、前記液体が加熱又は冷却される、(2)乃至(4)のいずれか記載の液体吐出装置。
Claims (5)
- 液体を吐出する液体吐出部と、
前記液体吐出部を駆動する駆動回路または前記駆動回路が設けられる回路基板の温度を検出する第1の温度センサと、
前記液体吐出部の温度または前記液体吐出部に連通する所定の流路における前記液体の温度を検出する第2の温度センサと、を備える液体吐出ヘッド。 - 請求項1に記載の液体吐出ヘッドと、
前記液体吐出ヘッドの動作を制御する制御部と、
複数の信号線を備え、前記液体吐出ヘッドと前記制御部とを接続する配線接続体と、を備え、
前記制御部は、前記1の温度センサにより検出した検出値が所定の許容範囲外である場合には印字動作を休止し、前記1の温度センサにより検出した検出値が所定の許容範囲内である場合には前記第2の温度センサにより検出した検出値に従って前記駆動回路に与える駆動電圧を制御して印字を可能とする
液体吐出装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記複数の前記温度センサの少なくとも一方により検出した検出値が、所定の正常範囲外である場合に報知処理を行う、請求項2記載の液体吐出装置。
- 前記液体は、前記液体吐出ヘッドと、前記液体吐出ヘッドの外部との間で循環される、請求項2または3に記載の液体吐出装置。
- 前記液体吐出ヘッドを通る循環路を備え、
前記循環路中であって前記液体吐出ヘッドの外部において、前記液体が加熱又は冷却される、請求項2乃至4のいずれか記載の液体吐出装置。
