図1〜図7は、限定されないが、ステントなどの医療デバイスを、血管などの中空の解剖学的構造内に送達及び/または展開するために使用され得る、医療デバイス送達システムの実施形態を示す。ステントは、編組ステント、または編みステント、織りステント、レーザーカットステント、巻きステントなどの他の形態のステントを含むことができる。ステントは、任意選択で、脳内または頭蓋内の動脈を含む血管内、あるいは末梢動脈などの身体内の他の場所で発見されるような、動脈瘤の治療のための「フローダイバータ」デバイスとして作用するように構成することができる。ステントは、任意選択で、Irvine,California USAのMedtronic Neurovascularによって市販されているPIPELINE(商標)Embolization Deviceの任意のバージョンまたはサイズと同様とすることができる。あるいは、ステントは、本明細書に記載されているように、任意の適切な管状医療デバイス及び/または他の特徴を含むことができる。
