Abstract
Description
以下のとおり、諸成分を表2に示す量で混合することにより、組成物を調製した。
組成物は、2つのライナーを組み合わせた厚さよりも0.002インチ(51マイクロメートル)大きい間隙を設定した2ロールコーターを使用して、350ナノメートルのピーク放射波長を有する複数の蛍光灯を使用して約1824ミリジュール/平方センチメートルの総UV−Aエネルギーに曝露させて、PET1剥離ライナーとPET2フィルム裏材との間でコーティングした。低出力感知ヘッドを装備したPOWER PUCK II放射計(EIT Incorporated,Sterling,VAから入手可能)を使用して、4.6メートル/分(15フィート/分)のウェブ速度で、総UV−Aエネルギーを決定した。次に、放射計ウェブ速度及びエネルギーを使用して、組成物の硬化中に使用したウェブ速度での総曝露エネルギーを計算した。別途記載のない限り、その後、PET1剥離ライナーを剥がして、下記の試験方法に従って試験するために自己湿潤性接着テープを提供した。
180°剥離接着性試験
幅0.5インチ(12.2cm)×長さ7インチ(178cm)の自己湿潤性接着剤コーティングテープを100cm×250cmのガラス上に置くことによって、試験用サンプルを調製した。試験前にイソプロパノールで拭くことによって、プレートを洗浄した。テープをパネル上にロールダウンして、2kgローラーを2回通過させた。スリップ/剥離試験機(Instrumentors Inc.;Strongsville,OH)で試験を実施した。180°の剥離角度及び12インチ/分(305mm/分)のプラテン速度で、合計5秒かけて、プレートからテープを剥がした。テープを剥がすために必要な力を0.5インチ当たりグラム数の単位で測定し、1インチ当たりグラム数(g/in)に変換した。すべての試験は、23℃及び50%相対湿度(RH)のCTH条件で実施した。試験前に、CTH条件でガラス基材上で10分間の放置時間にわたってサンプルを調整した。結果は、各接着剤についての3つの試験の平均である。結果を表3に示し、グラム毎インチ(g/in)及びニュートン毎デシメートル(N/dm)の両方で報告する。表3において、NTは、サンプルが試験されなかったことを意味する。
7.62cm(3インチ)×2.54cm(1インチ)の寸法を有するスライドガラスを69°の角度で保持し、自己湿潤性接着剤表面上に落とした。スライドガラスに浸潤する時間を秒単位で記録し、浸潤面積(例えば、スライドガラスでは3in2)で除算した。各サンプルについて試験を3回行い、平均を表4に示すように報告した。結果は、1平方インチあたりの秒数(s/in2)と1デシメートルあたりの秒数(s/dm2)の両方として報告する。
幅2.54cm(1インチ)×長さ20.32cm(8インチ)の接着剤コーティング構造化フィルムを直線偏光子、モデルLLC2−81−18(SanRitz Co.;Tokyo,Japan)上に配置することによって試験用サンプルを調製した。接着剤コーティング構造化フィルムは、構造化フィルム上に接着剤配合物のうちの1つをオーバーコートすることによって調製した。構造化フィルムは、米国特許第5,175,030号及び同第5,183,597号に記載されているように、キャスト及び硬化プロセスによって作製された、厚さ0.75mm(3ミル)のPETフィルム、MELINEX 454(Teijin DuPont Films;Chester,VA)の下塗り面上のアクリレート樹脂の正弦波構造を含む。正弦波構造は、ピークから谷までの高さ1.4ミクロン及びピッチ(ピークからピークまで又は谷から谷までの距離)7.5ミクロンを有している。接着剤コーティング構造化フィルムを、軽い手圧を用いてローラーを2回通過させて直線偏光子上にロールダウンした。
ポリプロピレンスタイラスアタッチメントを備えたTABERリニア摩耗試験機モデル5750(Taber Industries;North Tonawanda,NY)を使用して、耐擦傷性試験を実施した。計測器は、直線運動で前後に動く自由浮動水平アームを有し、垂直スプラインシャフトが水平アームに取り付けられており、シャフトに荷重を加えることができる。各実験のために、サンプルを約3.81cm(1.5インチ)×2.54cm(1インチ)の細片に切り出した。PET1シリコーン剥離ライナーを剥離し、接着剤/裏材をローラーでスライドガラス上に取り付けた。スタイラスアタッチメントが裏材に接触するように、試験片をスプラインシャフトの底部に固定した。重量ディスク0個、重量ディスク1個、重量ディスク2個、及び重量ディスク3個をシャフトに取り付けて、それぞれ対応する350グラム、600グラム、850グラム、及び1100グラムの荷重を標本にかけて、試験を実施した。各標本に、0.16cm/秒又は1.3cm/秒のいずれかの水平磨耗試験機アーム動作速度で、磨耗の1回の直線的ストローク(サイクルの半分)を与えた。それぞれの速度及び重量の組み合わせごとに、新しいサンプルを使用した。
静的剪断力は、以下の変更を行った、ASTM D3654−82、名称「感圧テープの保持力(Holding Power of Pressure-Sensitive Tapes)」の方法に従って決定した。剥離ライナーが存在する場合、それを試験用サンプルから取り外した。CTHの条件は、70°F(21℃)及び50% RHであった。高湿度実験では、条件は90°F(32℃)及び90% RHであった。幅1.27cm(0.5インチ)、長さ7.62cm(3インチ)の接着剤コーティングテープのサンプルを、3つの複製にダイカットした。長さ方向における最初の1.27cm(0.5インチ)の接着剤を、6.8kg(15lb)のハンドヘルドローラーが上記の長さのサンプルの上を30.48cm/分(12インチ/分)の速度で2回通過するようにすることで、5.08cm(2インチ)×5.08cm(2インチ)のガラス基材の縁部に接着させた。接着剤の反対側をそれ自体の上に折り重ねてステープルで留め、フック型の形状を作り、ハンガーをかけて、次いで、重りをかけた。サンプルを静的剪断スタンド(CHEMInstruments;Fairfield,OH)に取り付けた。
自己湿潤性接着フック物品は、以下のように準備した。3M Company,St.Paul,MN.から入手可能な3M Adhesion Promoter 4298UVを使用して、自己湿潤性接着剤コーティングテープサンプルのPET2フィルム裏材のコーティングされていない側を下塗りした。次いで、アクリル接着剤(3M Company,St.Paul,MNから入手可能な、剥離ライナー上に施された2ミル厚の3M 300LSEアクリル接着剤)を、PET2フィルム裏材の下塗り面に接着させた。剥離ライナーを300LSEアクリル接着剤から剥がし、コロナ処理して下塗りした15ミル厚の透明ポリカーボネートフィルムを、300LSEアクリル接着剤に接着させた。試験用サンプルは、正方形の形状をしており、表7に示すように大きさが異なっていた(1.5、2.5、3.5、4.5in2の面積)。次いで、ラミネータ圧力を約25psiに、かつライン速度を約30in/分に設定して、各試験用サンプルを、ロールツーロールラミネータに2回通した。最後に、約0.25in2〜1in2のベース面積を有する射出成形ポリカーボネートフック(異なるサイズのサンプルに対応する)を、アクリル接着剤(3M Company,St.Paul,MNから入手可能な3M SCOTCH−WELD Metal Bonderアクリル接着剤DP8407NS)を用いて、ポリカーボネートフィルムに接着した。重り吊り下げ試験で使用される重りがフック物品の底部から吊り下がるように、フックをポリカーボネートフィルムの縁部上の中央に位置決めし、フィルム縁部の約0.25インチ上に取り付けた。次いで、自己湿潤性接着フック物品を、室温で少なくとも72時間静置した。

- 前記溶媒モノマーが、約0重量部〜15重量部の酸官能性モノマーと、約60重量部〜約90重量部の前記低Tgモノマーと、を含む、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記溶質コポリマーが、前記組成物の約10重量部〜約20重量部である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記溶媒モノマー中の前記酸官能性モノマーのうちの少なくとも1つが、エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸、エチレン性不飽和スルホン酸、及びエチレン性不飽和ホスホン酸のうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記溶媒モノマー中の前記非酸官能性極性モノマーが、エチレン性不飽和ヒドロキシル含有モノマー、エチレン性不飽和アミン含有モノマー、又はこれらの組み合わせである、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記溶媒モノマー成分が、約0重量部〜約15重量部の前記非酸官能性極性モノマーを含み、前記溶媒モノマー成分が、約0重量部〜約15重量部の前記酸官能性モノマーを含む、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記組成物が、100部のa)及びb)に対して、約10部〜約80部の前記可塑剤を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物から形成されたフィルム。
- 前記フィルムが、硬化接着フィルムである、請求項14に記載のフィルム。
- 前記フィルムが、少なくとも0.16cm/秒の速度を有し、スタイラスに適用される重量が約0グラム〜約1500グラムの範囲である前記スタイラスの直線的ストロークを受けたとき、耐擦傷性を有する、請求項15に記載の硬化接着フィルム。
- 前記フィルムの幅0.5インチ、長さ0.5インチのサンプルが、約2lb/in2〜約10lb/in2の範囲の力が前記フィルムに適用されたとき、約10分〜40日の範囲の時間にわたって、基材に接着したままである、請求項15に記載の硬化接着フィルム。
- 前記硬化接着フィルムが、偏光子に適用される、請求項15に記載の硬化接着フィルム。
- 光学フィルム上に配置された、請求項15に記載の硬化接着フィルムの層を含む、接着物品。
- 前記光学フィルムが、多層光学フィルム及び微細構造化光学フィルムのうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項19に記載の接着物品。
- 硬化接着フィルムの製造方法であって、
h)(メタ)アクリレートモノマー及び多官能性アクリレートを含む、約60重量部〜約95重量部の溶媒モノマー成分と、
i)少なくとも25℃のTg又はTmを任意に有する、約5重量部〜約40重量部の溶質コポリマー成分であって、h)及びi)の合計が100重量部である前記溶質コポリマー成分とを、含む組成物を少なくとも部分的に重合して、少なくとも部分的に重合した組成物を得ること、を含む、硬化接着フィルムの製造方法。 - 100部のh)及びi)に対して
j)約5部〜約40部の多官能性アクリレート架橋剤と、
k)約5部〜約100部の可塑剤と、
を、前記少なくとも部分的に重合した組成物に添加して、第2の組成物を得ることと、
前記第2の組成物を更に光重合することと、を更に含む、請求項21に記載の方法。
