Description
LiaNi1−x1−y1−z1Wz1Cox1M1 y1M2 q1O2
Ni1‐x2‐y2‐z2Wz2Cox2M1 y2(OH)2
60℃と設定された5Lのバッチ(batch)式反応器にて、NiSO4、CoSO4、MnSO4、AlSO4、およびNa2WO4を、ニッケル:コバルト:マンガン:アルミニウム:タングステンのモル比が85.857:9.995:1.999:1.999:0.15のモル比となるようにする量で水中で混合し、濃度2Mの金属溶液を準備した。
850℃で焼成を行ったことを除き、実施例1と同様に行って正極活物質を製造した。
60℃と設定された5Lのバッチ(batch)式反応器にて、NiSO4、CoSO4、MnSO4、およびAlSO4をニッケル:コバルト:マンガン:アルミニウムのモル比が86:10:2:2のモル比となるようにする量で水中で混合し、濃度2Mの金属溶液を準備した。
リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物Li(Ni0.85857Co0.09995Mn0.01999W0.0015Al0.01999)O2を製造し、水洗を行わなかったことを除き、実施例1と同様に行って正極活物質を製造した。
正極活物質前駆体Ni0.86Co0.1Mn0.02Al0.02(OH)2と水酸化リチウム(LiOH)を1:1.02のモル比で混合し、Na2WO4をW含量基準で0.05モル比で混合した後、890℃で15時間程度焼成することで、正極活物質を製造した。
実施例1、2および比較例1〜3で製造された正極活物質のタングステンドープ有無を確認するために、ICP分析実験を行った。正極活物質中にドープされたWは、ICP分析によりその濃度を測定することができる。
実施例1、2および比較例1〜3で製造されたそれぞれの正極活物質、カーボンブラック導電材、およびPVdFバインダーをN‐メチルピロリドン溶媒中で95:2.5:2.5の割合(重量比)で混合して正極合剤(粘度:5000mPa・s)を製造し、それをアルミニウム集電体の一面に塗布した後、130℃で乾燥後、圧延して正極を製造した。
Claims (20)
- ニッケル(Ni)、コバルト(Co)、およびマンガン(Mn)を含むリチウム複合遷移金属酸化物を含み、
前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物は、ニッケル(Ni)サイトの一部がタングステン(W)で置換されており、
前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物の粒子の表面に残存するリチウムタングステン酸化物の含量が1000ppm以下である、リチウム二次電池用正極活物質。 - 前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物は、結晶構造中にタングステン(W)を10〜5000ppmで含有する、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物は、結晶構造中にタングステン(W)を2000〜3000ppmで含有する、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物の粒子の平均粒径(D50)をd、前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物の結晶サイズをcとしたときに、d/1000cが0.05以上である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物の結晶サイズが100〜200nmである、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物は、ニッケル(Ni)、コバルト(Co)、マンガン(Mn)、およびアルミニウム(Al)を含む4成分系リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質。
- 平均粒径(D50)が3〜6μmであり、{(D90−D10)/D50}が0.6以下である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質。
- 前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物は、下記化学式1で表され、

前記化学式1中、1.0≦a≦1.5、0<x1≦0.2、0<y1≦0.2、0<z1≦0.2、0≦q1≦0.1であり、M1は、MnおよびAlからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上であり、M2は、Ba、Ca、Zr、Ti、Mg、Ta、Nb、およびMoからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質。 - 前記化学式1中、0<x1+y1+z1≦0.2を満たす、請求項8に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質。
- ニッケル(Ni)含有原料物質、コバルト(Co)含有原料物質、マンガン(Mn)含有原料物質、およびタングステン(W)含有原料物質を含む金属溶液を準備するステップと、
前記金属溶液を共沈反応させて正極活物質前駆体を製造するステップと、
前記正極活物質前駆体とリチウム原料物質を混合して焼成することで、ニッケル(Ni)サイトの一部がタングステン(W)で置換されたリチウム複合遷移金属酸化物を製造するステップと、
前記焼成されたリチウム複合遷移金属酸化物を水洗することで、リチウム遷移金属酸化物の表面に残留するリチウムタングステン酸化物を除去するステップと、を含むリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。 - 前記タングステン(W)含有原料物質は、タングステン酸ナトリウム(Na2WO4)、タングステンオキシド(WO3)、およびタングステン酸(H2WO4)からなる群から選択される何れか1つ以上である、請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。
- 前記金属溶液は、ニッケル(Ni)含有原料物質、コバルト(Co)含有原料物質、マンガン(Mn)含有原料物質、およびタングステン(W)含有原料物質の全体に対して、タングステン(W)含有原料物質を0.05〜0.5モル%で含む、請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。
- 前記正極活物質前駆体は、下記化学式2で表され、

前記化学式2中、0<x2≦0.2、0<y2≦0.2、0<z2≦0.2であり、M1は、MnおよびAlからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種以上である、請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。 - 前記化学式2中、0<x2+y2+z2≦0.2を満たす、請求項13に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。
- 前記焼成の温度が700〜900℃である、請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。
- 前記水洗は、−10〜30℃の温度で行う、請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。
- 前記リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物は、結晶構造中にタングステン(W)を10〜5000ppmで含有する、請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。
- 前記水洗の後に、リチウム複合遷移金属酸化物の粒子の表面に残存するリチウムタングステン酸化物の含量が1000ppm以下である、請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質の製造方法。
- 請求項1から9の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極活物質を含むリチウム二次電池用正極。
- 請求項19に記載のリチウム二次電池用正極を含むリチウム二次電池。
