Abstract
Description

リチウム電池は、典型的には、アノード、カソード、アノードとカソードとの間のセパレータ、アノードとカソードとの間のイオン連通した電解質(例えば、電解質が場合によってはセパレータを通って流れ、および滞留する)、および上記構成要素を収容する容器を含む。
米国特許第6881515号は、参照により本明細書に組み込まれるが、両側にゲル形成ポリマーおよび可塑剤で被覆された微多孔質膜を有するポリマー電池のためのセパレータを開示している。ゲル形成ポリマーは、ポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)およびそのコポリマーであり得る。

Claims (21)
- リチウム電池用の電池セパレータであって、
少なくとも1つの微多孔質膜または層と、
前記微多孔質膜または層の少なくとも1つの側の少なくとも1つの不織布層または材料であって、前記不織布層は前記微多孔質膜または層に結合されるか、または前記微多孔質膜または層の上に積層される不織布層または材料と、
前記不織布層または材料の表面へ接着されたコーティングと
を含む、前記電池セパレータ。 - 前記電池セパレータが、二次リチウム電池、リチウムイオン電池、またはリチウムポリマー電池用の電池セパレータである、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。

- 前記低溶融温度成分がポリオレフィン、ポリエチレン(PE)、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリメチルペンテン(PMP)、ポリブテン(PB)、それらのコポリマー、およびそれらのブレンドからなる群から選択され、
前記高溶融温度成分が、ポリエステル、ポリアミド(例えば、ナイロン)、フルオロポリマー(例えば、テフロン(登録商標))、アラミド(例えば、ケブラー、ノーメックス)、液晶ポリマー(ベクトラン)、ポリベンズイミダゾール(PBI)、ポリベンゾビスオキサゾール(PBO)、それらのコポリマー、およびそれらのブレンドからなる群から選択される、請求項7に記載の電池セパレータ。 - 前記不織布が、カード機加工不織布、ニードルパンチ不織布、エアレイド不織布、ウエットレイド不織布、スパンレース不織布、水流交絡不織布、スパンボンド不織布、溶融紡糸不織布、エレクトロ紡糸不織布、またはこれらの組み合わせである、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記コーティングが、繊維表面または前記不織布表面を覆う、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記コーティングが、強誘電体ポリマーから製造される、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記コーティングが、さらにフィラーを含む、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。
- 前記微多孔質膜または層が、
約20〜80%の範囲の多孔度と、
約0.02〜2μmの範囲の平均孔径と、
約15〜150秒の範囲のガーレー数と
を有する、請求項1に記載の電池セパレータ。 - 請求項1に記載のセパレータを含む電池、セル、パック、またはモジュール。
- 請求項14に記載の電池、セル、パック、またはモジュールを含む、デバイス、製品、システム、または車両。
- 不織布を巻き戻しすること、
微多孔質膜を巻き戻しすること、
前記不織布をコーティング材料でコーティングすること、
被覆された不織布を微多孔質膜に積層すること、
を含む、積層電池セパレータを製造する方法。 - 前記コーティング材料が強誘電体材料を含有する、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングすることは、前記コーティング材料を噴霧、浸漬、接触コーティング、および/またはブラッシングすることである、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 積層電池セパレータを製造する方法であって、
不織布を巻き戻しすること、
微多孔質膜を巻き戻しすること、
前記不織布を微多孔質膜に積層すること、
不織布をコーティング材料でコーティングすること、
を含む前記方法。 - 前記コーティング材料が強誘電体材料を含有する、請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングすることは、コーティング材料をその上に噴霧、浸漬、接触コーティング、および/またはブラッシングすることある、請求項19に記載の方法。
