Description
ポリフッ化ビニリデン‐ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合体(PVdF‐HEP)及びシアノエチルプルランを10:1.75の重量比でそれぞれアセトンに添加し、50℃で約12時間以上溶解させて高分子溶液を製造した。製造した高分子溶液にチタン酸バリウム(BaTiO3)粉末を高分子混合物:無機物=1:9(重量比)になるように添加し、12時間以上ボールミル法で無機物粒子を破砕及び分散してスラリーを製造した。製造されたスラリーの無機物粒子の平均粒径は600nmであった。
コロナ放電処理していない厚さ12μmのポリエチレン多孔性膜(気孔度45%)2枚を、110℃の温度条件下、1.5kg/cmで加圧する加圧ロールを用いてラミネーティングした。ラミネーティング直後にセパレータを分離し、表面気孔度を測定したところ、23%程度に低くなり、通気度も315.6sec/100mLに上昇して表面気孔が損傷したことが分かった。
コロナ放電処理していない厚さ12μmのポリエチレン多孔性膜(気孔度45%)を、実施例1で製造したスラリーを使用して片面スロットコーティングした後、60℃の温度に調節されたオーブンに通過させてスラリーに含まれた溶媒を乾燥させた。完成されたセパレータの通気度は432.6sec/100mLで、良好であった。
実施例1によってコロナ放電処理したポリエチレン多孔性膜の表面、及び比較例1によって加熱、加圧処理後、分離したポリエチレン多孔性膜の表面をSEM写真撮影して図2及び図3に示した。
実施例1及び比較例2で製造したセパレータの多孔性基材に存在するバインダー高分子の分布量を厚さ方向に沿って図5のグラフに示した。
Claims (14)
- セパレータの製造方法であって、
(S1)2つの多孔性基材のうち少なくとも1つ以上の接合面にコロナ放電処理し、多孔性基材をラミネートする段階と、
(S2)無機物粒子が分散され、バインダー高分子が溶媒に溶解されたスラリーを、前記ラミネートした多孔性基材の両面にコーティングする段階と、
(S3)前記コーティングされたラミネートした多孔性基材をデラミネートする段階とを含んでなる、セパレータの製造方法。 - 前記S1段階の多孔性基材が、ポリオレフィン系多孔性基材であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 前記ポリオレフィン系多孔性基材が、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブチレン及びポリペンテンからなる群より選択されたいずれか1つの高分子で形成されたことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 前記S1段階の多孔性基材の厚さが5μmないし50μmであり、
前記S1段階の多孔性基材の気孔の大きさが0.01μmないし50μmであり、
前記S1段階の多孔性基材の気孔度が10%ないし95%であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセパレータの製造方法。 - 前記S2段階のコーティングがディップコーティング方法を用いることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 前記無機物粒子の平均粒径が0.001μmないし10μmであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 前記無機物粒子が、誘電率定数が5以上の無機物粒子、リチウムイオン伝達能力を有する無機物粒子、及びこれらの混合物からなる群より選択された無機物粒子であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 前記誘電率定数が5以上の無機物粒子が、BaTiO3、Pb(Zr,Ti)O3(PZT)、Pb1−xLaxZr1−yTiyO3(PLZT、0<x<1、0<y<1)、Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3‐PbTiO3(PMN‐PT)、ハフニア(HfO2)、SrTiO3、SnO2、CeO2、MgO、NiO、CaO、ZnO、ZrO2、SiO2、Y2O3、Al2O3、SiC及びTiO2からなる群より選択されたいずれか一種の無機物粒子またはこれら二種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 前記リチウムイオン伝達能力を有する無機物粒子が、リチウムホスフェート(Li3PO4)、リチウムチタンホスフェート(LixTiy(PO4)3、0<x<2、0<y<3)、リチウムアルミニウムチタンホスフェート(LixAlyTiz(PO4)3、0<x<2、0<y<1、0<z<3)、(LiAlTiP)xOy系列ガラス(0<x<4、0<y<13)、リチウムランタンチタネート(LixLayTiO3、0<x<2、0<y<3)、リチウムゲルマニウムチオホスフェート(LixGeyPzSw、0<x<4、0<y<1、0<z<1、0<w<5)、リチウムナイトライド(LixNy、0<x<4、0<y<2)、SiS2系列ガラス(LixSiySz、0<x<3、0<y<2、0<z<4)、P2S5系列ガラス(LixPySz、0<x<3、0<y<3、0<z<7)からなる群より選択されたいずれか一種の無機物粒子またはこれらの二種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 前記無機物粒子とバインダー高分子との重量比が50:50ないし99:1であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 前記バインダー高分子が、ポリフッ化ビニリデン‐ヘキサフルオロプロピレン、ポリフッ化ビニリデン‐トリクロロエチレン、ポリメチルメタクリレート、ポリブチルアクリレート、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリビニルピロリドン、ポリビニルアセテート、エチレンビニルアセテート共重合体、ポリエチレンオキサイド、ポリアリレート、セルロースアセテート、セルロースアセテートブチレート、セルロースアセテートプロピオネート、シアノエチルプルラン、シアノエチルポリビニルアルコール、シアノエチルセルロース、シアノエチルスクロース、プルラン、及びカルボキシルメチルセルロースからなる群より選択されたいずれか一種のバインダー高分子またはこれらの二種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のセパレータの製造方法。
- 正極と、負極と、及び前記正極と前記負極との間に介在させてなる請求項12に記載のセパレータとを備えてなる、電気化学素子。
- 前記電気化学素子がリチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の電気化学素子。
