Abstract
Description

Claims (15)
- 炭素繊維系強化材料;繊維ガラス系強化材料;金属系強化材料;またはセラミック系強化材料のうちの1つ以上を含む強化材料と;
炭素複合材とを含む強化複合材であって、
前記炭素複合材は:炭素と;SiO2;Si;B;B2O3;金属、または金属の合金のうちの1つ以上を含むバインダーとを備え、前記金属は:アルミニウム;銅;チタン;ニッケル;タングステン;クロム;鉄;マンガン;ジルコニウム;ハフニウム;バナジウム;ニオブ;モリブデン;スズ;ビスマス;アンチモン;鉛;カドミウム;またはセレンのうちの1つ以上である、強化複合材(10)。 - 前記炭素繊維系の材料は:炭素繊維フィラメント;炭素繊維ロービング;炭素繊維糸;炭素繊維トウ;炭素繊維テープ;炭素繊維リボン;炭素繊維メッシュ;炭素繊維チューブ;炭素繊維フィルム;炭素繊維ブレード;織炭素繊維;不織炭素繊維;または炭素繊維マットのうちの1つ以上を含み、前記金属系強化材料は、金属繊維;金属繊維糸;金属繊維メッシュ;または金属繊維布のうちの1つ以上を含み;前記繊維ガラス系強化材料は;繊維ガラス布を含み;前記セラミック系強化材料は;セラミック織物;セラミック繊維ウール;または耐火性セラミック繊維のうちの1つ以上を含む、請求項1に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 前記強化材料は、メッシュサイズが約10〜約400の織炭素繊維を含む、請求項1または請求項2に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 前記炭素複合材中の炭素は:膨張黒鉛;膨張性黒鉛;天然黒鉛;または合成黒鉛のうちの1つ以上を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 前記炭素複合材は、炭素微細構造間に間隙空間を有する炭素微細構造を備え;前記バインダーは、少なくともいくつかの前記間隙空間に配置され;前記炭素微細構造は、前記炭素微細構造内に無充填のボイド(6)を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 前記炭素複合材は、少なくとも2つの炭素微細構造と、少なくとも2つの炭素微細構造の間に配置された結合相(2)とを含み、前記結合相(2)は、前記バインダーを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 前記結合相(2)は、バインダー層(3)と、前記少なくとも2つの炭素微細構造のうちの1つを前記バインダー層に接合する界面層(4)とを備え、前記界面層(4)は:C−金属接合;C−B接合;C−Si接合;C−O−Si接合;C−O−金属接合;または金属炭素溶液のうちの1つ以上を含む;請求項6に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 第1の層および第2の層を備え;前記第1の層は前記強化材料を備え、前記第2の層は前記炭素複合材を備える、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 前記第1の層は:SiO2;Si;B;B2O3;金属;または金属の合金のうちの1つ以上を含むバインダーをさらに備え、前記金属は:アルミニウム;銅;チタン;ニッケル;タングステン;クロム;鉄;マンガン;ジルコニウム;ハフニウム;バナジウム;ニオブ;モリブデン;スズ;ビスマス;アンチモン;鉛;カドミウム;またはセレンのうちの1つ以上である、請求項8に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 前記強化複合材(10)は、第1の層と第2の層を交互に備える、請求項8または請求項9に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 前記強化材料は、前記炭素複合材の母材上に配置される、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の強化複合材(10)。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の強化複合材(10)を備える物品。
- 前記物品は、ベアリング;ベアリングシート;ブッシュ;ピストン;またはバックアップリングである、請求項12に記載の物品。
- 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の強化複合材(10)を製造する方法であって、該方法は:
強化材料と炭素およびバインダーを含む組成物とを型内で交互に配置して強化組成物を提供することと;
前記強化組成物を温度約350℃〜約1400℃および圧力約500psi〜約30,000psiで圧縮して前記強化複合材を形成することとを含む、方法。 - 請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の強化複合材(10)を製造する方法であって、該方法は:
強化層を炭素複合材層(8)の上に重ねて強化組成物を提供することと;
前記強化組成物を温度約350℃〜約1400℃および圧力約500psi〜約30,000psiで圧縮して前記強化複合材を形成することとを含む、方法。
