Description
本出願は2014年9月17日に出願された米国特許出願第14/488,851号の利益を請求するものであり、その全体が参照により本明細書に組み込まれる。
発明は、ミクロ構造を含む炭素複合に関し、より詳しくは、格子間空間及び結合剤を有するミクロ構造に関する。
先行技術における上記の及び他の欠点は、一実施形態において、炭素ミクロ構造であって、該炭素ミクロ構造間に格子間空間を有する炭素ミクロ構造と、該格子間空間の少なくとも一部において配列された結合剤とを含み、前記炭素ミクロ構造が前記炭素ミクロ構造内に未充填空隙を含む、炭素複合体によって克服される。
Claims (22)
- 膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造であって該膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造間に格子間空間を有する膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造と、
該格子間空間の少なくとも一部に配列された結合剤と、を含み、
前記膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造が前記膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造内に、結合剤で充填されていない空隙を含む、炭素複合体。 - 前記膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造内の前記空隙が20nm〜1μmのサイズを有する、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記炭素複合体が4%より大きい弾性伸びを有する、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記格子間空間が0.1μm〜100μmのサイズを有する、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記結合剤が前記膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造間の前記格子間空間の10%〜90%を占有する、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造が機械的インターロッキングによって結合されている、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 化学結合、固溶体、又はそれらの組み合わせが少なくとも幾つかの膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造と前記結合剤との間に形成される、請求項6に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造が1〜200μmの厚みを有し、10〜500μmの直径を有する、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記膨張黒鉛ミクロ構造が膨張黒鉛のミクロ構造を含む、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記結合剤がSiO2、Si、B、B2O3、金属、該金属の合金、または前述の少なくとも1つを含む組み合わせを含み、前記金属がアルミニウム、銅、チタン、ニッケル、タングステン、クロム、鉄、マンガン、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、バナジウム、ニオビウム、モリブデン、スズ、ビスマス、アンチモン、鉛、カドミウム、及びセレンの少なくとも1種である、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記結合剤が鋼、ニッケル−クロム系合金、ニッケル−銅系合金、または前述の少なくとも1つを含む組み合わせを含む、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 炭素繊維、カーボンブラック、雲母、粘土、ガラス繊維、セラミック繊維、セラミック中空構造体、または前述の少なくとも1つを含む組み合わせを更に含む、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記炭素複合体の合計重量を基準にして20〜80重量%の前記膨張黒鉛を含む、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記炭素複合体が0.5〜10g/cm3の密度を有する、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記炭素複合体が−65°F(−54℃)から最大1200°F(649℃)までの動作温度の範囲で耐熱性を有する、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記炭素複合体が水、オイル、かん水(ブライン)、及び酸に対して化学的に耐性がある、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記炭素複合体がショアAで50からショアDスケールで最大75までの硬度を有する、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 15%歪み及び600°F(316℃)における前記炭素複合体の試料のシール力が緩和なしで5800psiにおいて少なくとも20分間維持される、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 前記炭素複合体がバー、ブロック、シート、チューブ、円筒形ビレット、トロイド、粉末、又はペレットの形態である、請求項1に記載の炭素複合体。
- 請求項1に記載の炭素複合体を含むシートであって、該シートが10μm〜10cmの厚みを有する、シート。
- 請求項1に記載の炭素複合体を含む粉末であって、該粉末が10μm〜1cmの平均サイズを有する粒子を含む、粉末。
- 請求項1に記載の炭素複合体を含む複数のペレットであって、前記ペレットが0.5cm〜5cmの平均サイズを有する粒子を含む、複数のペレット。
