Abstract
【解決手段】圧着端子1は、底壁部14と、底壁部の幅方向において互いに対向しており、かつ底壁部の幅方向の両端からそれぞれ突出している一対の側壁部15,16と、を有する電線接続部12を備え、電線接続部は、長手方向の一端側に設けられ、電線の芯線に対して圧着される芯線圧着部12Aと、長手方向の他端側に設けられ、電線の被覆に対して圧着される被覆圧着部12Bと、を有し、電線に対して圧着されることで芯線および被覆を一体に覆い、電線に対して圧着される前の芯線圧着部において、一対の側壁部の外壁面同士の間隔Wdは、被覆圧着部側の端部12A2において最も広く、電線に対して圧着される前の被覆圧着部において、一対の側壁部の外壁面同士の間隔は、芯線圧着部側の端部12B1において最も広い。

図1から図23を参照して、第1実施形態について説明する。本実施形態は、圧着端子および端子圧着装置に関する。なお、図13には、図9のXIII−XIII断面が示されている。また、図14には、図15のXIV−XIV断面が示されている。

図24および図25を参照して、第2実施形態について説明する。第2実施形態については、上記第1実施形態で説明したものと同様の機能を有する構成要素には同一の符号を付して重複する説明は省略する。図24は、第2実施形態に係る第二金型の正面図、図25は、第2実施形態に係る第二金型の断面図である。図25には、図24のXXV−XXV断面が示されている。なお、図25においては、電線50が省略されている。第2実施形態において上記第1実施形態と異なる点は、外壁面15c,16cに対して最初に当接する位置が所望の位置となるように第二金型113が構成されている点である。
上記第1実施形態および第2実施形態の変形例について説明する。電線接続部12の長手方向と直交する断面において、バレル片部15,16の長さは、同じであってもよい。この場合、第二金型113は、第一バレル片部15を第二バレル片部16よりも内側に倒れ込ませるように形成される。

- 底壁部と、前記底壁部の幅方向において互いに対向しており、かつ前記底壁部の幅方向の両端からそれぞれ突出している一対の側壁部と、を有する電線接続部を備え、
前記電線接続部は、長手方向の一端側に設けられ、電線の芯線に対して圧着される芯線圧着部と、長手方向の他端側に設けられ、前記電線の被覆に対して圧着される被覆圧着部と、を有し、前記電線に対して圧着されることで前記芯線および前記被覆を一体に覆い、
前記電線に対して圧着される前の前記芯線圧着部において、前記一対の側壁部の外壁面同士の間隔は、前記被覆圧着部側の端部において最も広く、
前記電線に対して圧着される前の前記被覆圧着部において、前記一対の側壁部の外壁面同士の間隔は、前記芯線圧着部側の端部において最も広い
