Abstract
【解決手段】電池の外装体に、一方向に周期的に連続する波状のフィルムを用いる。また外装体の内部に、電極積層体の固定されていない端部と、外装体の内壁との間に空間を有する。さらに、電極積層体を挟む外装体の一対の部分の波が位相がずれるように形成されている。特に、稜線同士が重なり、且つ谷線同士が重なるように、位相が180度ずれて形成されている。

Description
本実施の形態では、本発明の一態様の電池の構成例、及び作製方法例について説明する。
図1(A)は、以下で例示する電池10の平面視である。また図1(B)は、図1(A)中の矢印で示す方向から見た図である。また図1(C)、(D)、(E)は、それぞれ、図1(A)中の切断線A1−A2、B1−B2、C1−C2で切断したときの断面概略図である。
続いて、空間25を形成した電池10を曲げた際の形状について説明する。
以下では、電池10の作製方法の一例について説明する。
上述のように、空間25は接合部33の形成時に、外装体11の一部が伸びることに伴って形成することができる。すなわち、空間25中の積層体12と外装体11との距離d0は、外装体11の接合部33における伸び量に応じて変化する。距離d0を大きくするため、外装体11に用いるフィルムとして、波状のフィルムの自然長に対する、フィルムを延伸したときの長さの比が、上述の値となるようなフィルムを用いることが好ましい。
次に、外装体11に用いることのできるフィルムの加工方法について説明する。
以下では、電池10として、特に二次電池を用いた場合の作製方法の一例について説明する。なお、上記と重複する点については、説明を省略する場合がある。
以下では、積層された複数の電極を有する積層体の構成例について説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態1を用いて得られる電池、特に二次電池を組み込んだ電子機器の一例を示す。

Claims (13)
- 積層体と、外装体を有する電池であって、
前記外装体は、フィルム状の形状を有し、前記積層体を挟むように2つに折り曲げられており、
前記外装体は、一対の第1の部分、第2の部分、一対の第3の部分、及び第4の部分を有し、
一対の前記第1の部分は、互いに重なり、
前記第1の部分は、前記第2の部分、前記第3の部分、及び前記第4の部分に囲まれた部分であり、且つ前記積層体と互いに重なる部分を含み、
前記第2の部分は、一対の前記第1の部分の間に位置し、折り曲げられた部分であり、
一対の前記第3の部分は、前記第1の部分を挟むように対向して位置し、且つ前記第2の部分と交差する向きに延びた帯状の部分であり、
前記第4の部分は、前記第1の部分を挟んで前記第2の部分とは反対側に位置する帯状の部分であり、
前記外装体は、前記第3の部分及び前記第4の部分で接合されており、
前記外装体の内部において、前記積層体と前記第2の部分とが接さずに、前記積層体と前記第2の部分との間に空間を有する、
電池。 - 請求項1において、
前記外装体の平面視において、前記第3の部分の延伸方向の長さは、前記第1の部分、前記第2の部分及び前記第4の部分を通り、当該方向に平行な方向の長さよりも長い、
電池。 - 請求項1又は請求項2において、
前記第1の部分は、互いに平行な複数の稜線と複数の谷線とが交互に位置する波形状を有し、
前記第3の部分は、平坦である、
電池。 - 請求項3において、
前記第1の部分は、前記第2の部分に近いほど、前記波の周期が長く、且つ振幅が小さくなる領域を有する、
電池。 - 請求項3または請求項4において、
前記外装体は、一対の前記第1の部分のうち、一方の前記第1の部分の前記稜線と、他方の前記第1の部分の前記谷線とが一致しない領域を有する、
電池。 - 請求項3乃至請求項5のいずれか一において、
一対の前記第1の部分は、それぞれの前記稜線同士が重なり、且つそれぞれの谷線同士が重なる領域を有する、
電池。 - 請求項3乃至請求項6のいずれか一において、
前記第2の部分は、前記波形状を有さない、
電池。 - 請求項3乃至請求項7のいずれか一において、
前記第1の部分の最も前記第2の部分側に位置する前記谷線と、前記第2の部分との間に、1つの前記稜線が位置する、
電池。 - 請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか一において、
前記電池を曲げていない状態において、前記外装体の内部における、前記積層体の前記第2の部分側の端部と、前記外装体の内側の表面との距離が、前記積層体の厚さを2tとしたとき、π×t以上であることを特徴とする、
電池。 - 外装体の内部に積層体を有する電池の作製方法であって、
互いに平行な複数の稜線と複数の谷線とが交互に位置し、複数の稜線同士が等間隔で位置する波状に加工されたフィルム状の前記外装体を準備する、第1のステップと、
前記外装体の一部を、前記稜線及び前記谷線と垂直な方向に180度折り曲げて前記積層体を挟む、第2のステップと、
前記積層体よりも外側に位置し、且つ前記稜線及び前記谷線と垂直な方向に延びる帯状の、前記外装体の他の一部を接合する、第3のステップと、を有し、
前記第3のステップにおいて、前記外装体の一部が平坦になるように接合し、且つ、前記外装体の前記積層体と重なる部分において、前記外装体の折り曲げられた部分に近いほど前記複数の稜線の間隔が広がるように、前記外装体を接合する、
電池の作製方法。 - 請求項10において、
前記第1のステップ後であって前記第2のステップより前に、前記外装体の前記稜線及び前記谷線と平行な方向に延びる帯状の部分が平坦になるように、前記外装体を加工する第4のステップを有し、
前記第2のステップにおいて、前記外装体の平坦に加工された部分を折り曲げる、
電池の作製方法。 - 請求項10または請求項11において、
前記第2のステップにおいて、折り返されて重なる前記外装体の稜線と谷線が重ならないようにずらして、前記外装体を折り曲げる、
電池の作製方法。 - 請求項10乃至請求項12のいずれか一において、
前記第2のステップにおいて、折り返されて重なる前記外装体の稜線同士が重なり、且つ谷線同士が重なるように、前記外装体を折り曲げる、
電池の作製方法。
