Abstract
Description
本発明の実施例1を調製するときに使用される成分を表1に示す。
表2は、比較例1を調製するときに使用される成分を示す。比較例1は、4段階のアクリル系水性乳化重合によって調製される。
GPC分子量
「分子量」という用語は、本明細書で使用する場合、Polymer Laboratoriesデータ操作ソフトウェアを用い、テトラヒドロフラン溶媒中、狭い分子量のポリスチレン標準に対するゲル浸透クロマトグラフィー(GPC)によって25℃で決定したピーク平均分子量を指す。
BI 90(Brookhaven Instruments、ホルツビル、NY)の粒径検出器を用い、Dynamic Light Scattering(散乱角15°および90°)およびレーザー光源を用い、非常に希釈されたラテックス(固形分が0.001%になるまで希釈)について体積平均粒径を測定した。発光ダイオードアレイによってシグナルを検出し、内蔵型の補正器を用いてデータを分析した。
TA Instruments(ニューキャッスル、デラウェア、USA)製の示差走査熱量測定(DSC)を用いてガラス転移温度(Tg)を測定した。N2下、アルミニウム皿中、20℃/分の速度でサンプルを試験した。
膜のヘイズレベルをASTM 871−96(2010)にしたがって測定した。
膜の厚みをマイクロメーターによって測定した。
Hunter Labs.(レストン、バージニア、USA)製のColor Quest IIを用いて光学特性を測定した。
Claims (17)
- 多段階ポリマー組成物であって、
アルキル(メタ)アクリレートモノマーからなる群から選択される1種類以上のモノマーから誘導される95重量%より多い単位と、架橋するモノマー、グラフト接合するモノマー、またはこれらの組み合わせから誘導される0.1〜5重量%の単位とを含み、Tgが−85〜−10℃である架橋したコアと;
1つ以上の中間層を含み、それぞれの前記中間層が、アルキル(メタ)アクリレートモノマーからなる群から選択される1種類以上のモノマーから誘導される88.5〜100重量%の単位と、架橋するモノマー、グラフト接合するモノマー、またはこれら2種類以上の組み合わせから誘導される0〜5重量%の単位と、場合により、1つ以上の連鎖移動剤から誘導される0〜2.0重量%の単位とを含み、中間体領域の幅方向にTgが−30℃から70℃まで遷移するような前記中間層間の組成勾配が存在する、中間体領域と;
アルキル(メタ)アクリレート、スチレンモノマーおよびこれら2種類以上の組み合わせからなる群から選択される1種類以上のモノマーから誘導される98.5〜100重量%の単位と、1つ以上の連鎖移動剤から誘導される0〜1.5重量%の単位とを含み、Tgが40℃〜110℃である最外層とを備える、多段階ポリマー組成物。 - 前記最外層は、Tgが50℃〜97℃である、請求項1に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記架橋したコアは、Tgが−55〜−30℃である、請求項1〜2のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記架橋したコアの前記架橋するモノマー、前記架橋したコアの前記グラフト接合するモノマー、前記中間層の前記架橋するモノマーおよび前記中間層の前記グラフト接合するモノマーは、ブタンジオールジ(メタ)アクリレート、エチレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ジビニルベンゼン、ジエチレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、トリメチオールプロパントリアクリレート、ブチレングリコールジメタクリレート、これらのブレンド、およびこれら2種類以上の組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記架橋したコアの前記架橋するモノマーおよび前記中間層の前記架橋するモノマーは、アリルメタクリレート、ジアリルマレエート、これらのブレンド、およびこれら2種類以上の組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記架橋したコアの前記架橋するモノマーは、ブタンジオールジアクリレートであり、前記架橋したコアの前記グラフト接合するモノマーは、アリルメタクリレートであり、前記中間層の前記グラフト接合するモノマーは、アリルメタクリレートである、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記架橋したコアの前記アルキル(メタ)アクリレートモノマーは、ブチルアクリレート、エチルヘキシルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、メチルメタクリレート、およびこれら2種類以上の組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記中間層の前記アルキル(メタ)アクリレートモノマーは、ブチルアクリレート、エチルヘキシルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、メチルメタクリレート、シクロヘキシル(メタ)アクリレート、シクロペンチルメタクリレート、テトラヒドロフルフリルメタクリレート、ベンジル(メタ)アクリレートおよびこれら2種類以上の組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記最外層の前記アルキル(メタ)アクリレートモノマーは、ブチルアクリレート、エチルヘキシルアクリレート、エチルアクリレート、メチルメタクリレート、およびこれら2種類以上の組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記架橋したコアは、少なくとも95重量%のブチルアクリレート単位と、0.1〜5.0重量%のブチレングリコールジアクリレートとアリルメタクリレートの組み合わせの単位とを含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記1つ以上の中間層は、それぞれ、ブチルアクリレートおよびメチルメタクリレートから誘導される単位を含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記最外層は、ブチルアクリレートとメチルメタクリレートモノマーの組み合わせから誘導される95重量%より多い単位を含む、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 乳化重合によって作られ、ラテックス粒子が250nm未満の平均粒径を有する、請求項1〜12のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 前記最外層組成物の重量平均(Mw)分子量は、50,000g/mol未満である、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の多段階ポリマー組成物。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の前記多段階ポリマー組成物を含む膜またはシート。
- 前記膜が、弾性率が30,000psi以下;破壊時の伸び率が少なくとも200%といった性質の1つ以上を示す、請求項15に記載の膜またはシート。
- 前記膜またはシートは、厚みが3mil〜12milであり、ヘイズが1%未満、黄色度指数が1%未満といった性質の1つ以上を示す、請求項15に記載の膜またはシート。
