Abstract
【解決手段】
逃げ面1とすくい面2との交差稜線部に切れ刃3が形成された工具本体7に硬質皮膜4が被覆されて成る硬質皮膜被覆切削工具であって、工具先端から軸方向に工具直径の0.3倍以下の範囲における切れ刃3に直角な断面において、逃げ面1側の硬質皮膜4の膜厚をh1、切れ刃3近傍のすくい面2側の硬質皮膜4の膜厚をh2としたとき、8μm≦h1≦30μm且つ0≦h2/h1≦0.5とする。

であることを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具に係るものである。
使用工具:ダイヤモンド皮膜が被覆された1枚刃ボールエンドミル(直径1mm、刃長0.7mm、シャンク径4mm、全長50mm)
被削材:超硬合金VM−40(CIS規格)
クーラント:エアブロー
工具突出し量:15mm
回転速度:30,000min−1、送り速度:150mm/min、軸方向の切込み深さ:0.05mm
半径方向の切込み深さ:0.25mm
加工方法:4.3mm×4.3mm×深さ0.6mmの四角ポケット形状を加工する。
使用工具:ダイヤモンド皮膜が被覆された1枚刃ボールエンドミル(直径1mm、刃長0.7mm、シャンク径4mm、全長50mm)
被削材:超硬合金VM−40(CIS規格)
クーラント:エアブロー
工具突出し量:15mm
回転速度:30,000min−1、送り速度:150mm/min、軸方向の切込み深さ:0.02mm
半径方向の切込み深さ:0.1mm
加工方法:被削材の上面に5mm×5mm×深さ0.02mm(軸方向の切込み深さ分)の大きさの領域を切削加工(ダウンカット)する。
工具の進行方向:被削材の外方から被削材の上面と正面の稜線に対して直角方向に工具を被削材へ進入させる。
評価:前記稜線におけるコバ欠けの状態(有無)を確認する。

Claims (8)
- 逃げ面とすくい面との交差稜線部に切れ刃が形成された工具本体に硬質皮膜が被覆されて成る硬質皮膜被覆切削工具であって、工具先端から軸方向に工具直径の0.3倍以下の範囲における切れ刃に直角な断面において、逃げ面側の硬質皮膜の膜厚h1及び切れ刃近傍のすくい面側の硬質皮膜の膜厚h2が、下記2条件を充足するように構成したことを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具。

(2)0≦h2/h1≦0.5 - 請求項1記載の硬質皮膜被覆切削工具において、工具先端から軸方向に工具直径の0.3倍以下の範囲における切れ刃に直角な方向で、当該切れ刃の刃先の丸みを半径Rの円弧で近似したとき、
0.1h1≦R≦0.8h1
であることを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具。 - 請求項1記載の硬質皮膜被覆切削工具において、工具先端から軸方向に工具直径の0.3倍以下の範囲における切れ刃に直角な方向で、当該切れ刃の刃先の丸みを半径Rの円弧で近似したとき、
0.1h1≦R≦15μm
であることを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具。 - 請求項1〜3いずれか1項に記載の硬質皮膜被覆切削工具において、工具先端から軸方向に工具直径の0.3倍以下の範囲における、すくい面側の硬質皮膜の少なくとも切れ刃に隣接する領域に、切れ刃に対して90°±20°の範囲の角度で交差する多数の微細な凸条が並設されていることを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具。
- 請求項4記載の硬質皮膜被覆切削工具において、前記凸条の並設間隔は1μm以上30μm以下であることを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具。
- 請求項4,5いずれか1項に記載の硬質皮膜被覆切削工具において、前記凸条が並設されている部分の算術平均粗さRaが0.05μm以上1μm以下であることを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具。
- 請求項4〜6いずれか1項に記載の硬質皮膜被覆切削工具において、前記凸条は、切れ刃近傍の前記すくい面側の硬質皮膜の表面部をレーザ照射により除去する際に形成されたものであることを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具。
- 請求項1〜7いずれか1項に記載の硬質皮膜被覆切削工具において、前記硬質皮膜はダイヤモンド皮膜であることを特徴とする硬質皮膜被覆切削工具。
