Abstract
Description
しかし、標準的な薄膜加工装置はカスタムのサイズ又は形状のガラスシートの上に薄膜成膜ができない。代わりに、薄膜成膜はその後に分離され且つ複数の個々のガラスシートに整形される大きな矩形のガラスシート(いわゆるマザーシート)の上に発生する。個々のシートは典型的に別々の電子装置に使用される。
Claims (20)
- マザーシートの中に1つ以上のボイドを形成する工程と、
前記マザーシートを前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドにおける1つ以上のエッジを強化するために加工する工程と、
前記マザーシートを複数の個々のシートが形成するように分離する工程と、
を備える方法。 - さらに、前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドにおける前記1つ以上のエッジを強化した後に、前記マザーシート上に導電性トレースを形成するために前記マザーシートを加工する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の個々のシートの1つ以上のエッジは、前記1つ以上のボイドにおける前記1つ以上のエッジを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドを形成する工程は、前記複数の個々のシートの少なくとも1つの全長に対応する1つ以上のエッジを形成するために、前記1つ以上のボイドを整形及び配置する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドを形成する工程は、前記1つ以上のボイドを、前記マザーシートを複数の個片化前シートにつなぐ1つ以上のタブを作るために、整形及び配置する工程を含み、前記タブは前記マザーシートから分離の後に前記複数の個片化前シートの非強化エッジを最小限化するように構成され、
前記マザーシートを前記複数の個片化シートが形成するように分離する工程は、前記複数の個々のシートを形成するために前記1つ以上のタブにおいて前記マザーシートから前記複数の個片化前シートを分離する工程を含む、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - さらに、前記マザーシートから分離する前に、前記個片化前シートを試験するための、複数の導電性トレースを最小限に収容するために前記タブの幅を構成する工程を含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- さらに、前記マザーシート上に前記導電性トレースを形成する前に、充填材料で前記1つ以上のボイドを充填する工程を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドにおける前記1つ以上のエッジを強化する工程は、前記マザーシートに全体的な強化処理を適用する工程を含む、ことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドにおける前記1つ以上のエッジを強化する工程は、前記マザーシートに局所的な強化処理を適用する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記局所的な強化処理は、前記1つ以上のボイドにおける前記1つ以上のエッジにエッジ研磨を適用する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記局所的な強化処理は、前記1つ以上のボイドにおける前記1つ以上のエッジに化学的エッチングを適用する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記局所的な強化処理は、前記1つ以上のボイドにおける前記1つ以上のエッジに酸性研磨を適用する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記全体的な強化処理は、前記マザーシートを化学的強化剤に浸漬する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の個々のシートを形成するために前記マザーシートを分離する工程は、前記1つ以上のボイドの少なくとも1つに交差する分離の軌道に沿って分離する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- マザーシートの中に1つ以上のボイドを形成する工程と、
前記マザーシートを前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドにおける1つ以上のエッジを強化するために加工する工程と、
前記1つ以上のボイドを充填材料で充填する工程と、
前記マザーシートを前記マザーシート上に導電性トレースを形成するために加工する工程と、
前記1つ以上のボイドから前記充填材料を除去する工程と、
前記マザーシートを複数の個々のシートが形成するように分離する工程と、
を備える方法。 - 前記複数の個々のシートの1つ以上のエッジは、前記1つ以上のボイドにおける前記1つ以上のエッジを含むことを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の方法。
- 複数の個々のシートであって、前記個々のシートの上に形成される導電性トレースとタブ領域を除いて強化されるエッジとを備え、
前記個々のシートは、
マザーシートの中に、前記マザーシートを複数の個片化前シートにつなぐ1つ以上のタブを作るために、1つ以上のボイドを整形及び配置する工程を含み、前記タブは分離の後に前記複数の個片化前シートの非強化エッジを最小限化するように構成され、
前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドにおける1つ以上のエッジを強化する工程と、
前記複数の個片化前シート上に導電性トレースを形成する工程、及び
前記複数の個々のシートを形成するために前記1つ以上のタブにおいて前記マザーシートから前記複数の個片化前シートを分離する工程と、
を含む工程により形成されることを特徴とする、個々のシート。 - 前記マザーシートの中の前記1つ以上のボイドを整形及び配置する工程は、前記複数の個々のシートの少なくとも1つの全長に対応する1つ以上のエッジを形成するために、前記1つ以上のボイドを整形及び配置する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の複数の個々のシート。
- 前記工程はさらに、前記マザーシートから分離する前に前記個片化前シートを試験するための、複数の導電性トレースを最小限に収容するために前記タブの幅を構成する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の複数の個々のシート。
- 前記工程はさらに、前記マザーシート上に前記導電性トレースを形成する前に、充填材料で前記1つ以上のボイドを充填する工程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項17から19のいずれかに記載の方法。
