Abstract

 内径寸法誤差を小さくすることが可能な、磁気ディスク用ガラス基板の製造方法を提供する。  複数のガラス基板102のそれぞれを、複数の化学強化処理槽130のいずれかの化学強化処理液に接触させることにより、ガラス基板を化学強化する化学強化工程を含む本発明の磁気ディスク用ガラス基板の製造方法は、化学強化工程前の複数のガラス基板102毎の内径を測定する内径測定工程と、化学強化工程によって生じるガラス基板102の内径の変化量を複数の化学強化処理槽130毎に把握する把握工程と、変化量に基づいて、内径が測定された複数のガラス基板の化学強化工程後の内径が所望する値になるように、化学強化を行う化学強化処理槽130をそれぞれ決定する組合せ決定工程と、をさらに含み、化学強化工程では、複数のガラス基板102を決定されたそれぞれの化学強化処理槽130で化学強化する。
