Abstract
【効果】粉末の塗着量を容易にコントロールすることができると共に、膜厚のバラツキが小さく緻密で塗着ムラの少ない粉末の塗膜を密着性よく磁石体表面に形成することができ、更に大面積を短時間で効率的に処理することが可能となり、良好な残留磁束密度と高い保磁力を有する高性能な希土類磁石を極めて効率的に製造し得る。

Description
請求項1:
R1−Fe−B系組成(R1はY及びScを含む希土類元素から選ばれる1種又は2種以上)からなる焼結磁石体を、R2の酸化物(R2はY及びScを含む希土類元素から選ばれる1種又は2種以上)を含有する粉末が溶媒中に分散した電着液に浸漬し、電着法により当該粉末を上記焼結磁石体の表面に塗着させ、当該磁石体の表面に上記粉末を存在させた状態で、当該磁石体及び粉末を当該磁石の焼結温度以下の温度で真空又は不活性ガス中において熱処理を施すことを特徴とする希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項2:
R2の酸化物を含有する粉末を水系又は有機系の溶媒に分散させたスラリーに上記焼結磁石体を浸漬して、電着を行なう請求項1記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項3:
電着液が、界面活性剤を分散剤として含有するものである請求項1又は2記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項4:
R2の酸化物を含有する粉末の平均粒子径が100μm以下である請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項5:
R2の酸化物を含有する粉末の磁石体表面に対する存在量が、その面密度で、10μg/mm2以上である請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項6:
R2の酸化物のR2に10原子%以上のDy及び/又はTbが含まれている請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項7:
上記R2の酸化物を含有する粉末において、R2に10原子%以上のDy及び/又はTbが含まれ、且つR2におけるNdとPrの合計濃度が前記R1におけるNdとPrの合計濃度より低いことを特徴とする請求項6記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項8:
上記熱処理後、更に低温で時効処理を施すことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項9:
上記焼結磁石体を、アルカリ、酸又は有機溶剤のいずれか1種以上により洗浄した後、上記電着法により上記粉末を磁石体表面に塗着させる請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項10:
上記焼結磁石体の表面層をショットブラストで除去した後、上記電着法により上記粉末を磁石体表面に塗着させる請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
請求項11:
上記熱処理後、最終処理として、アルカリ、酸又は有機溶剤のいずれか1種以上による洗浄処理、研削処理、又はメッキもしくは塗装処理を行う請求項1乃至10のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
Ndが14.5原子%、Cuが0.2原子%、Bが6.2原子%、Alが1.0原子%、Siが1.0原子%、Feが残部からなる薄板状の合金を、純度99質量%以上のNd、Al、Fe、Cuメタル、純度99.99質量%のSi、フェロボロンを用いてAr雰囲気中で高周波溶解した後、銅製単ロールに注湯するいわゆるストリップキャスト法により薄板状の合金とした。得られた合金を室温にて0.11MPaの水素化に曝して水素を吸蔵させた後、真空排気を行ないながら500℃まで加熱して部分的に水素を放出させ、冷却してから篩いにかけて、50メッシュ以下の粗粉末とした。
実施例1と同様にして、17mm×17mm×2mm(磁気異方性化した方向)のブロック状磁石体を用意した。また、平均粉末粒径が0.2μmの酸化テルビウムを質量分率40%でエタノールと混合し、よく分散させてスラリーとし、このスラリーを電着液とした。

Claims (11)
- R1−Fe−B系組成(R1はY及びScを含む希土類元素から選ばれる1種又は2種以上)からなる焼結磁石体を、R2の酸化物(R2はY及びScを含む希土類元素から選ばれる1種又は2種以上)を含有する粉末が溶媒中に分散した電着液に浸漬し、電着法により当該粉末を上記焼結磁石体の表面に塗着させ、当該磁石体の表面に上記粉末を存在させた状態で、当該磁石体及び粉末を当該磁石の焼結温度以下の温度で真空又は不活性ガス中において熱処理を施すことを特徴とする希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- R2の酸化物を含有する粉末を水系又は有機系の溶媒に分散させたスラリーに上記焼結磁石体を浸漬して、電着を行なう請求項1記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- 電着液が、界面活性剤を分散剤として含有するものである請求項1又は2記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- R2の酸化物を含有する粉末の平均粒子径が100μm以下である請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- R2の酸化物を含有する粉末の磁石体表面に対する存在量が、その面密度で、10μg/mm2以上である請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- R2の酸化物のR2に10原子%以上のDy及び/又はTbが含まれている請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- 上記R2の酸化物を含有する粉末において、R2に10原子%以上のDy及び/又はTbが含まれ、且つR2におけるNdとPrの合計濃度が前記R1におけるNdとPrの合計濃度より低いことを特徴とする請求項6記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- 上記熱処理後、更に低温で時効処理を施すことを特徴とする請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- 上記焼結磁石体を、アルカリ、酸又は有機溶剤のいずれか1種以上により洗浄した後、上記電着法により上記粉末を磁石体表面に塗着させる請求項1乃至8のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
- 上記焼結磁石体の表面層をショットブラストで除去した後、上記電着法により上記粉末を磁石体表面に塗着させる請求項1乃至9のいずれか1項記載の希土類永久磁石の製造方法。
