Abstract
Description
この出願は、2010年7月30日出願に係る米国仮出願第61/369,430号、2010年7月30日出願に係る米国仮出願第61/369,392号および2010年11月11日出願に係る米国仮出願第61/412,456号の利益を主張するものであって、これら仮出願の内容はすべて引用により本明細書に組み込まれるものである。
本発明の複数の実施形態は、一般に電子ディスプレイ、キーボードおよびその他の物品を複数位置の間で操作者に対して相対的に移動させることができる装置に関するものである。
試験は50.8cmエアシリンダを用いた多数のシングルカムバランス機構を使用して行った。シングルカムバランス機構はそれぞれ、成形されたカムと所望の範囲にわたって所望の重量をバランスさせる仕様にしたがって製造された引張ばねおよびロープを含むその他の製造された構成部品とを備えたものを使用した。最大の応力をロープに与えるため、バランス機構はバランスをとるべき最大重量に調節した。エアシリンダは、エンジンの可動部品に接続して毎分6サイクルのレートで移動範囲にわたってサイクル運動を行わせた。最大負荷下での目標サイクル寿命を10,000サイクルと予想した。多くの場合、10,000サイクルをわずかに超えるとロープ不具合が生じたが、12,500サイクル未満で生じた。
試験はデュアルカムバランス機構を使用して行った。試験設定、負荷条件、サイクルレート、ロープ素材、重量範囲および移動範囲はすべて例1で説明したシングルカム機構での試験と同一とした。設計上の相違点としては、デュアルカム設計に対応するため、カム設計、ばね設計およびロープ配策の点で相違するものであった。この構成での少なくとも1回の試験において、機構は28,000サイクルを超えた。
Claims (50)
- 作業面に取付けられるように構成された基部と、
前記基部から上方へ延在された支柱部と、
垂直な移動範囲にわたって前記作業面に対して移動可能に前記支柱部に結合された取付部であって、該垂直な移動範囲において電子ディスプレイおよびキーボードを同時に移動させるように構成された取付部と、
を備えた電子ディスプレイおよびキーボードを位置決めする装置。 - 前記基部が前記作業面に堅固に取付けられるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記基部が前記作業面における孔を通って該作業面に堅固に取付けられるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の装置。
- 締結具と、前記孔を通って挿入された前記締結具を収容するように構成された取付板とをさらに備え、かつ、前記締結具が、前記作業面における前記孔を通って前記取付板と前記基部とを結合することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記基部が、前記作業面に取り外し可能に取付けられるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記基部が、該基部を前記作業面の縁部の周囲に取り外し可能に取付けるためのクランプを有していることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記クランプが、第1クランプ要素と、第2クランプ要素と、調節可能なねじとで構成されていて、前記ねじが、第1方向に回されると前記第1クランプ要素と前記第2クランプ要素とをともに移動させて該クランプを緩めるとともに、第2方向に回されると前記第1クランプ要素と前記第2クランプ要素とを互いに離隔するように移動させて該クランプを締め付けるように、前記第1クランプ要素と前記第2クランプ要素とにねじ込み結合されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記クランプがシャコ万力を有していることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記クランプが、上側ブラケットと、前記上側ブラケットに結合された調節可能な下側ブラケットとを有していることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記下側ブラケットが、第1脚部と第2脚部とを有し、前記第1脚部の長さが前記第2脚部の長さよりも大きく、前記第1脚部が第1の構成において前記上側ブラケットに結合するように構成され、かつ、前記第2脚部が第2の構成において前記上側ブラケットに結合するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の装置。
- 前記クランプがくさびを有していることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記クランプが、傾斜した表面を有する下側脚部を有し、かつ、前記くさびが、前記傾斜した表面に沿って移動して前記クランプを締め付けおよび緩めるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、前記キーボードを支持するように構成されたキーボードトレーを有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記キーボードトレーが、前記垂直な移動範囲における最低位置において前記作業面より下方に位置づけられていることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記キーボードトレーが、前記垂直な移動範囲における最高位置において前記作業面より上方に位置づけられていることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、前記作業面に対する前記キーボードトレーの角度を調節するためのキーボード傾転機構を有していることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記基部が、第1端部と、第2端部と、前記第1端部と前記支柱部との間に延在されている長尺セクションとを有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記基部の長尺セクションが、前記垂直な移動範囲にわたる前記取付部の動きによって規定される平面に対して概して平行とされていることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記長尺セクションが、前記支柱部の幅とほぼ同じ幅を有していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記長尺セクションの幅と前記支柱部の幅とが、約12.7cm以下とされていることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、電子ディスプレイマウント部を有し、かつ、前記長尺セクションの幅と前記支柱部の幅とが、前記電子ディスプレイマウント部の幅未満とされていることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、前記長尺セクションに対して概して平行な部分を有していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記長尺セクションが、前記取付部の概して平行な部分とほぼ同じ幅を有していることを特徴とする請求項22に記載の装置。
- 前記基部の前記長尺セクションが、約2.54cm以下の厚さを有していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記基部が、前記作業面の前縁部の周囲に前記基部を取り付けるためのクランプを前記第1端部において有していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記基部が、前記作業面の後縁部の周囲に前記基部を取り付けるためのクランプを前記第2端部において有していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記基部が、該基部から外側へ延在された1以上の安定化部分を有していることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部を前記垂直な移動範囲にわたって移動可能に前記支柱部に結合する第1リフト機構がさらに備えられ、かつ、前記第1リフト機構がバランス機構を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記バランス機構が、カムとエネルギー貯蔵部材とを備えていることを特徴とする請求項28に記載の装置。
- 前記第1リフト機構が、部分的に前記支柱部の中に配置されかつ部分的に前記基部の中に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項28に記載の装置。
- 前記垂直な移動範囲が、少なくとも約35.56cmとされていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記垂直な移動範囲が、約35.56cmおよび約60.96cmの間とされていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記垂直な移動範囲が、座位と立位との間で延在されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、電子ディスプレイマウント部と、キーボードトレーと、前記電子ディスプレイマウント部および前記キーボードトレーの間の長尺セクションとを有し、かつ、前記取付部が、前記取付部の前記長尺セクションに取付けられた移動可能な作業面をさらに有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、マウストレー、書類ホルダ、移動可能な作業面および電話ホルダのうち少なくとも1つを有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、1以上の電子ディスプレイを前記取付部に取付けるための1以上の電子ディスプレイマウント部を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記1以上の電子ディスプレイマウント部のうち少なくとも1つが、傾転機構および/または回転機構をさらに有していることを特徴とする請求項36に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、ノートブックトレーおよび/またはノートブックドッキングステーションを有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、キーボードトレーと、前記キーボードトレーに対して移動可能とされた電子ディスプレイマウント部とを有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記取付部が、前記電子ディスプレイマウント部を前記キーボードトレーに対して垂直に移動させるように構成された第2リフト機構を有していることを特徴とする請求項39に記載の装置。
- 概して水平な作業面に取付けられるように構成された基部と、
前記基部から上方へ延在された支柱部と、
電子ディスプレイを前記取付部に取付けるように構成された電子ディスプレイマウント部およびキーボードを支持するように構成されたキーボードトレーを有する取付部と、
前記取付部を前記垂直な移動範囲にわたって移動可能に前記支柱部に結合する第1リフト機構と、
を備えた、電子ディスプレイおよびキーボードを位置決めする装置において、
前記キーボードトレーが、前記垂直な移動範囲における最低位置において前記作業面より下方に位置づけられ、かつ、
前記キーボードトレーが、前記垂直な移動範囲における最高位置において前記作業面より上方に位置づけられていることを特徴とする電子ディスプレイおよびキーボードを位置決めする装置。 - 作業面に取付けられるように構成された基部、前記基部から上方へ延在する支柱部、および、垂直な移動範囲にわたって前記作業面に対して移動可能に前記支柱部に取付けた取付部を備えた位置決め装置を、該作業面に取付ける工程と、
前記取付部を用いて前記電子ディスプレイを支持する工程と、
前記取付部を用いて前記キーボードを支持する工程と、
前記取付部を前記垂直な移動範囲において移動させて前記電子ディスプレイと前記キーボードとを前記支柱部および前記作業面に対して同時に移動させる工程と、
を有する電子ディスプレイおよびキーボードを位置決めする方法。 - 前記位置決め装置の前記基部を前記作業面に堅固に取付ける工程をさらに有することを特徴とすることを特徴とする請求項42に記載の方法。
- 前記基部を堅固に取付ける工程が、締結具を前記作業面を貫通するように該作業面に挿入することを含むことを特徴とする請求項43に記載の方法。
- 前記位置決め装置の前記基部を前記作業面に取り外し可能に取付ける工程をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項42に記載の方法。
- 前記基部を前記作業面に締結する工程をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項45に記載の方法。
- 前記キーボードが前記作業面より下側から前記作業面より上側へ移動するように、前記取付部を前記垂直な移動範囲において移動させる工程をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項42に記載の方法。
- 前記キーボードと前記電子ディスプレイとが座位および立位の間で前記作業面に対して移動するように、前記取付部を前記垂直な移動範囲において移動させる工程をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項42に記載の方法。
- 前記電子ディスプレイが前記キーボードとは独立に移動するように、前記取付部を移動させる工程をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項42に記載の方法。
- 前記キーボードの角度を前記作業面に対して調節する工程をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項42に記載の方法。
