種々の異なるポリマー樹脂組成物を配合し、熱安定性に関して試験した。熱安定性は、モールド表面の光沢減少(gloss reduction)、および成形品の色減少(color reduction)によって測定した。
サンプルの引張強度特性と歪み特性を、ISOテスト番号527に従って試験した。破断点での引張強度、破断点での伸び(%)、および引張モジュラスについて算出した。
光沢減少を使用して堆積物の生成を測定した。光沢計測器を使用して、先ず成形する前の清浄なモールド表面に関して、次いで1時間の成形後のモールド表面に関して、モールド表面の光沢を測定した。光沢減少は、次のように定義される:
光沢減少(%)=(成形前の光沢度−1時間の成形後の光沢度)/成形前の光沢度×100
光沢度の読み取り値は、モールド表面の2つの異なる場所における、各場所での3回の繰り返し測定にて採用する。光沢減少を算出するためには、読み取り値の平均を採用する。光沢減少がより低いということは、モールド上に生じる堆積物がより少ないということに相当する。
成形試験片の熱安定性を測定するのにカラーLの減少(color L reduction)が使用される。最初に、試験片の作製後に試験片に関してカラーLを測定する。次いで試験片をシリコーン油中に290℃で2分浸漬し、熱処理後に再びカラーLを測定する。カラーLの減少は次のように産出される:
カラーLの減少=成形試験片のカラーL−290℃で2分熱処理後の試験片のカラーL
カラーLの減少がより少ないということは、熱安定性がより高いということを示している。
下記の実施例は、本開示に従って組成物を使用したときの、モールド堆積物の減少を示す。
下記は机上の実施例であり、本開示に従って製造できる他の種々の配合物を示す。下記配合物のいずれも、ポリマー物品を成形するのに使用されたときに、良好な色保持特性を有しつつ比較的少ないモールド堆積物を示すと考えられる。本実施例では、ガラス繊維を補強用充填剤として使用する代わりに、組成物は炭素繊維を含有する。
Claims (15)
- 樹脂組成物であって、
芳香族ポリエステルポリマーとポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーを含むポリマー混合物であって、芳香族ポリエステルポリマーとポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーが、ポリマー混合物中に約5:1〜約1:5の重量比にて存在する、前記混合物;および、
ホスファイトを含む少なくとも第1の安定剤であって、ホスファイトが、90%を超えるスピロ異性体含量を有するモノホスファイトまたはジホスファイトを含む、前記安定剤;
を含む、前記樹脂組成物。 - ホスファイトが、トリス(2,4−ジ−tert−ブチルフェニル)ホスファイトを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- ホスファイトが、ビス(2,4−ジクミルフェニル)ペンタエリスリトール ジホスファイトを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- ホスファイトが、ジステアリル ペンタエリスリトール ジホスファイトを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- ポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーが、約80Pa.s未満の溶融粘度を有し、芳香族ポリエステルポリマーが、約250℃〜約400℃の融点を有し、ポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーが、ポリフェニレンスルフィドポリマーを含み、ポリフェニレンスルフィドポリマーが、組成物の塩素含量が確実に900ppm未満となる塩素濃度を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 有機ポリホスフェートを含む第2の安定剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 有機ポリホスフェートが、レゾルシノール ビス(ジ−キシリルホスフェート)を含む、請求項6に記載の組成物。
- 滑剤をさらに含み、滑剤が、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンポリマー、高密度ポリエチレンポリマー、超高分子量ポリエチレンポリマー、またはペンタエリスリトールステアレートを含む、請求項6に記載の組成物。
- 組成物が、強化用繊維、または無機充填剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 無水マレイン酸、またはグリシジルメタクリレートを含有するエチレン−アクリル酸エステルランダム共重合体をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物から製造される、射出成形品。
- 請求項9に記載の組成物を含む、ペレット。
- 芳香族ポリエステルポリマーとポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーが、ポリマー混合物中に、350℃にて約1:10〜約3:1の粘度比を有するような量にて存在する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 連続射出成形プロセスであって、
表面部分を有するモールド中に溶融ポリマー混合物を射出すること、ここで、ポリマー混合物が、芳香族ポリエステルポリマーとポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーを含み、芳香族ポリエステルポリマーとポリアリーレンスルフィドポリマーが、ポリマー混合物中に約5:1〜約1:5の比率にて存在し、ポリマー混合物が、ホスファイトを含む第1の安定剤をさらに含み、該ホスファイトが、モノホスファイトまたはジホスファイトを含む;そして、
4時間の連続成形後に、モールドの表面部分が、約20%未満の量にてモールド堆積物で覆われ、プロセスが、成形品をもたらし、成形品が、10%未満の光沢減少および4未満のカラーLの減少を示す;
を含む、前記連続射出成形プロセス。
