Claims (15)
- エアーバッグ用の布を形成する方法であって、
複数の糸を提供するステップであって、各糸は複数の個々の繊維から形成されるステップと、
活性化可能な添加剤またはコーティングを各糸に塗布するステップであって、前記添加剤またはコーティングは最初は活性化されておらず、かつ活性化の前には、前記添加剤またはコーティングは前記糸内の前記繊維の相対運動に対してほとんどまたは全く抵抗を示さず、かつ活性化の後には、前記添加剤またはコーティングは、前記糸中の前記繊維の相対運動を互いに対して防ぐまたは妨げるために、前記糸内の繊維を互いに結びつけるステップと、
前記糸に活性化ゾーンを通過させるステップであって、前記活性化ゾーンは前記糸に圧縮力を加える圧縮性構成要素を含み、前記添加剤またはコーティングは前記糸が前記活性化ゾーンを通過する際に活性化され、その結果、前記添加剤またはコーティングの活性化の後には、前記糸は各々が、第1の比較的小さな断面寸法(a)および第2の比較的大きな断面寸法(b)を有するように、実質的に偏平な輪郭を有するステップと
を備える方法。 - 前記コーティングまたは添加剤は、前記糸に圧力を加えることによって活性化される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記コーティングまたは添加剤は熱によって、または他の物質と接触することによって活性化される、請求項1および2のいずれかに記載の方法。

- 前記布が前記第2の活性化ゾーンを通過した後、前記添加剤またはコーティングが活性化され、前記糸の相対運動を互いに関して防ぐまたは妨げるために、前記布内の前記糸を互いに結びつける、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記布を形成するために前記糸の前記織る前に、前記糸にさらなる添加剤またはコーティングを塗布するステップをさらに備え、前記さらなる添加剤またはコーティングは活性化され、かつ前記糸の相対運動を互いに関して防ぐまたは妨げるために、前記布内の前記糸を互いに結びつける、請求項9または10に記載の方法。
